Navitat Knoxville - Getting our gear. Ben is awesome!!!

He verbally put her down in front of the whole crowd that was about to go to the course. Extremely unprofessional and I feel like if y'all have a high turnover rate, it's because of Ben. The gentleman in the ropes course, I wish I could remember his name. He was so kind and professional, he would joke with the younger kids and make them laugh, go out on the course in a moments notice to help someone, and was all around in a good mood. He was having a good time and making sure the customers were too. So was the younger girl that Ben verbally attacked in front of everyone. Both the staff in the tree tops were fantastic, extremely helpful, and a pleasure to be around. I do feel bad for anyone that has to work with Ben though. If he was my manager I would quit before the first day was over.

Spend a few hours in the tree tops and get a challenging workout (if you try the advanced courses)…read more Navitat is a great outdoor activity for all ages. It combines a ropes course that utilizes climbing safety gear with a zip lining course. There are several levels from beginner to advanced. Each course has obstacles that require you to walk/maneuver across. The course is designed so your are always locked onto a cable system that is very stable. So, you can "fall" and be okay. I've seen small kids to older people doing these courses and it's a lot of fun. If you are strong/tough, you can still find some pretty intense challenges here. I was sweating on their advanced one because it requires a good bit of strength and balance in some places. But, my 11 year old son managed it. So, it's not overly crazy. Staff are top notch. I've been here about 5 times over the past 2 years and they've always done a thorough initial training and made sure you're comfortable. Also, they have good advice and a positive attitude. Tips/random things: 1) wear closed top shoes. If you forget, they have some extras. 2) they have water and cups at the center hub that leads to the rope courses. 3) free lockers for your phone, wallet, etc. 4) helmets, gloves, harness/gear is provided. 5) you can reserve a time online or just go to Ijams and do it there. I've done it both ways. 6) If you go a lot, they have a membership and punch pass option. 7) they offer evening times and the course is illuminated with Christmas lights. 8) Ijams has free EV charging if you drive an EV. Overall: Love it. Glad we have Navitat in Knoxville! Highly recommended.

The walking tour is accessible to people of most abilities, with a bit of uneven ground in some spots. Cool, comfortable temperatures. (Maybe have a light sweater.) Cool/interesting history of how the carven transitioned from a massive limestone mining facility that started in the 1930s, to its multiple uses today. The zip-lining looks like a lot of fun, but that was not for us on this day.

It's a ropes course, and the course is pretty small, and you're not really going into the cavern, which is a bummer. They do have a separate zipline tour, which is maybe more adventurous, but I wouldn't know because we didn't do that one. The ropes course is for ages 5 and older. Louisville Mega Cavern also offers a walking cavern tour and a tram tour, plus a drive-through Christmas lights display around the holidays. Be sure to book your activities in advance! This place is very popular and gets very busy. One thing to note is that outside food and drink are supposedly not allowed. (Oops, my bad. I didn't find that out until I had finished my tasty little tuna-and-crackers snack.) They also have lockers to put your things in if you don't have someone hanging back at the tables to hold your stuff.

We were surprised to…read morelearn that you don't need to spent the night to reserve activities, archery and ax throwing, along with dinning. The property is gorgeous, flowers everywhere and various water features. Definitely felt like we'd stepped right into The Shire. The staff was super friendly and helped us through the property and explained what access we had as non-guests. Ax throwing and archery were really fun and not crowded, each group had dedicated lanes. After our hour was up we migrated to the dinning area and all sat at our separate tables. Meals are seated together with a pre planned menu. Food tasted great. Since you prepay for the meal and activity there is no waiting for the check. But remember to tip the staff because that's not included in the prepayment. They have a jar on the entry table to the dinning room. Would love to return to as a guest and get the full experience.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming--they genuinely make you feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I had one of the best nights of sleep while traveling. Dinner was also a highlight--refreshing and flavorful. The crispy chicken was perfectly done, and the tiramisu was delicious. I especially loved staying in the new treehouse. It felt peaceful, unique, and unlike any stay I've experienced before. The archery and axe throwing activities were such a fun bonus--honestly, I've never seen another place offer this kind of experience. It made the stay even more memorable. Overall, this isn't just a place to stay--it's a full experience. I'll definitely be coming back again!

You reserve a room and specific game ahead of time and are not placed with strangers. Perfect in COVID times, as the room is only for your party. At a timed 1-hour, this is a quick and unique activity that gets you actually interacting instead of looking at your phone or another screen. It was a good choice on a date night when we were short on time. We reserved and filled out the waiver online, so the awesome Alicia had us in our Runaway Train room within 5 minutes of arrival. FYI, they legally cannot lock you into a room, so if that was a deterrent from trying an escape room, fret no more! The hour starts by watching an intro video of the chosen game. You walk around and examine everything available to you in the room and clues arise that you then use to lead you to the next clue. If you get stuck, you are able to ask for help up to 3 times from the room moderator over the speaker. We definitely needed the help, as there were a few things we never would have noticed/guessed. We were on the very last step of the game when time ran out. Wah waaaaaaah. Close enough to winning and such a good time that we are inspired to come back soon and try another game. Next time, we will come on a double date or with a group. Alicia said there are a few games that would be fun and appropriate for kids, too.
