It was worth the wait as this was an amazing night of humor, person positivity, and great talent. So, I feel like different days may have different feel. I was there on Saturday which was the gala. To start... Beachland is an interesting building... it gave me Grease High school dance vibes. I loved that the dancers mingled throughout the crowd, in fact one helped me get noticed to get a drink. So for me (a plus size lady), I am all for body positivity. I loved that there were women dancing who "looked like me". I also love that there was representation of multiple races, gender identities, sexual orientation, ethniticies, etc.... I feel like mostly everyone (I would hate to generalize) had someone they could identify with. This is why I love burlesque as a culture..... it includes everyone. My only complaint (and I dont think that they can do anything about it) is the chairs were super uncomfortable. Also another tip is to get there early. You will want a good seat.

I honestly can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. You can always count on the OBF to be a fun time. The OBF strives to show burlesque as the classic vibrant art form that it is and they do a great job curating all types of inclusive performers. If you've never experienced modern burlesque before, this is a great place to do it, because I guarantee it will be so much different than what you expect. The festival is typically at the Beachland Ballroom and the performers are always so cool! I love all the different types of performers you get to experience here, whether they are from Cleveland or beyond. You'll laugh, have an amazing time and be mesmerized by awesome talent!

The evening was calm, fun, and creative. We painted bowls and were served food throughout the evening. We were given samples of cakes, drinks, and even some sort of meat pie. The owner even made authentic Turkish coffee for us (I don't drink coffee but I took a very micro sip and it was bitter as I expected since I think that coffee is bitter....haha). I absolutely love this cafe and I'll be back to support this local business. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 46/365 total reviews in 2025 - 827 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 11 December 2025

Blu Bee is located on the West Side of Painsville close to the fairgrounds, it is right in the middle of a shopping plaza. Pulling up on a dark and rainy night Blu Bee was a shining beacon with a welcoming glow. Inside is a bright, modern and attractive space, there is a large 3 sided counter with several pastry cases filled with amazing delights, a case full of spinach and meat pies and plenty of drink options. For the Yelp Event we were set up with a large table up front filled with paints and crafting supplies from Stephanie so we got to do some arts and crafts while getting an amazing sampling of Blu Bee's food and drinks. Hiba who is Blu Bee's owner was incredibly welcoming, sweet and generous to us, showing off her place and overwhelming us with hospitality. During the evening we were served spinach and meat pies, tiramisù, 3 kinds of cheesecake and baklava, along with a latte samples and a pomegranate refresher drink. All of the food was wonderful, beautifully prepared and presented, there was so much food that I took home 2 pieces of cheesecake and baklava. I am not a coffee drinker, but I enjoyed the lattes, they are nicely made and not overly sweet. A truly outstanding event; Blu Bee is a sensational coffee shop with Middle Eastern influences, a really wonderful space with great treats at reasonable prices. It was very fun and relaxing to sit around and talk while decorating some crafts. Stephanie made sure we had plenty of art supplies and interesting crafts; it was fun to watch everyone's different approaches and the cool results. If you are in the Mentor Painesville area you should definitely check out Blu Bee and if you have the chance to go to a Yelp Event go you will have a great time.

I wish I knew the names of many of them. Heba was most giving and her staff was pleasant. Tonight was very nice. Stephanie outdid herself with the painting project. We painted vases or plates or ornaments. That was fun, and some were very artsy. We have some good painters in the group. Thank you Heba, and her staff. Heba has an excellent establishment! I enjoy coffee as a treat and wow, having this whole experience for experiencing the culture was next level awesome. Sitting and talking with the fellow yelpers and the staff was exactly what an elite event should be. The lattes were so smooth. My favorite was the peppermint one. The candy cane melted into the coffee and gave it an awesome favor. Let me gloat about the refresher. I did ask what the base of it was, tea, water or lemonade. I was told lemonade was their base. So smooth, not bitter as some other refreshers can be. The chocolate GF cake was so smooth. I had it in the restaurant with a jam that blended perfectly together!! I had to get another one to bring home. Painsville is a bit of a drive, but if I'm ever headed East, I know I can count on Blu Bee!! Only open three months up to this past Tuesday and I wish it much more time serving the community!! If you're in the area, do stop in!!

The Destination Cleveland sponsored Cleveland signs are strategically placed around the city, and it's no shock to me there's one here. To find this sign, don't be shy about pulling into The Foundry's parking lot and walking straight back. You can't see it from the street so you will have to be willing to explore a little.
