Took a day trip to todos santos from La Paz. Highly recommend making a trip out for the vibes and food and accommodations. The green room is located right on the beach. You do need a reservation. Watching the whales and sunset was such a beautiful experience. We ordered a lot of fish tacos and tapas style appetizers. Everything was so good and highly recommend doing family style. For some reason chicken always gets served so much slower than the rest of the food but it's super tender and much higher quality than that of the US so totally worth the wait, but feels bad for the one girl out of twelve that this kept happening to at every restaurant.

The ambiance at The Green Room is truly unmatched in Todos Santos. Sipping a delicious cocktail while listening to the waves and watching the sunset -- it's that kind of place. Prices felt very reasonable, especially considering the location and quality of the ingredients. My only critique: the guacamole was pretty basic, and most of the chips were cracked (think bottom-of-the-bag vibes). But the sashimi? Absolutely our favorite -- both my husband and I couldn't get enough.

Amazing!! Sitting with your feet in the sand watching the sunset while you enjoy dinner is truly a magical experience. I absolutely recommend you checkout The Green Room on your next trip to Mexico. The relaxing sound of the waves while we sat back and enjoyed our drinks was one of a kind. One thing to note is you definitely have to take a car to get here. It is not walkable from most areas, so plan accordingly if a taxi or uber is needed because it is somewhat rural in comparison to the main city.

Beware this is very off the beaten path but beautiful setting, gorgeous sunset, fresh and flavorful cocktails. Beautiful evening. The dining area is rustic and your feet sit in the sand. I wanted to get a shirt but they tore down the souvenir area by the time we left. Good presentation on all of the dishes. Small curated menu. They're family friendly but not extensive options for kids. Glad we experienced it.

Not gonna lie, one of my new favorite spots in Baja. So much so I don't want to spoil it and it become so popular I can't get in! Tell me, what's wrong with a hidden gem on the beach with great cocktails, fantastic service and excellent food? This is a not to miss when going to Todos Santos for the day or hanging out that way. You know you are onto something special as you wind through ocean shrubs only to walk into a spot you want wang to leave.

This spot is well worth the trip from Todos Santos. Its semi-remote location means that you're away from the crowds and right on a pristine and (figuratively?) private beach with incredible sunsets and whales in plain sight. The food and drinks were delicious and feature colorful herbs, flowers, and vegetables from the garden on-site. The service was great as well. Get the "Rosarita Rolls" and a piña colada and then just stare seaward for an hour or two.

10/10 view, 10/10 Garden and overall setting. Food was meh considering price...the sushi rice was way undercooked, the fish tacos were...forgetable. Best food we ordered were the steak tapas. The cocktails were visually good looking but very sweet and almost felt like there was not much alcohol in it. So sad cause I only heard wonderful things! I'd go back just for a drink and a view and the epic path down to the restaurant. But at $2400 MXN for a couple drinks and apps there's better. read more

Woah if you ever find yourself in the vicinity of The greenroom you MUST make a reservation and go there. It's usually a busy place but it does not feel crowded at all. All the tables are spread out and you can put your feet in the sand since it's an outdoor restaurant on the beach. The walk to the beach/table made me feel like I forgot I was walking to the restaurant, it was a beautiful shrubbery tunnel with green lights. Our waiter was such a nice guy and had a fun personality which added to the experience. But the main part of the review the food, all-in-all delectable! I got the Magbay without know much of what to expect and my expectations were met and then some. The whole party of 6 agreed that loved the Green Room and especially when the lava cakes were brought out, personally my favorite dish but thats my huge sweet tooth talking. Highly Recommended by me and my family! read more

The food was ok. Not what I was expecting. Great decor and setting. My disappointment was the service. our server was very unipersonal, she was very distracted. Talking to coworkers but not us. Our drinks took about 25 minutes, but everytime she came back she seems un happy and upset, like she didn't want it to be there. We had a birthday and we told her and the restaurant on the reservation about it. She said that they're out of any type of candles and when she brought out the desserts, the happy birthday sign was on the wrong dessert. We ordered water and it never arrived. We didn't even got a good bye. We Most definitely won't come back. read more

A table on the beach with great food and drink - Is there a catch? It's several miles of marginal road away from Todos Santos, so use your Land Rover or rental car and not your Porsche. Then you walk through a topiary tunnel to the beach. They have a bunch of picturesque special cocktails but after three visits, I settled for Martinis or Sauvignon Blanc. The mains with tuna were my favorite, as was the cerviche starter. There's red meat for those that want it. 100% gringos. Not cheap, but well worth it. Romantic as hell. read more

The place is beautiful. The path from the car park to the restaurant is very imaginative. We intended to order a late lunch. We started with gauc and chips and two cocktails. The chips were stale. The gauc was bland. I enjoyed my cocktail. My husband did not care for his. This is place is expensive. We decided to come back to Todos Santos to have dinner. There are so many great food places. This place was disappointing. It's like somebody's toy and they really don't care if you like it or not. We mentioned the stale chips to the waiter, but did not ask to have them replaced or for a refund. We just wanted him to know. I guess it's policy, so eventually a manager type person came over and asked about the chips. We said, it fine, we don't want anything to be done, we just wanted someone to know. He took a chip and tasted it and said something like, to each his own. Kind of surly guy. When I presented my card to pay the bill, they took it like to another building. It took a long time for them to come back. That happened to another guest across the bar from us too. Kind of weird. I don't think we will go back, but I do recommend others to go. But suggest you keep it simple - a glass of wine, or a beer. Just enjoy the view. read more

Excellent house-made guacamole. Seriously good mezcal margarita. And the tostadas are to die for. I had a Nine Palms. Corn tostada, fresh mahi-mahi slices, tuna and grilled octopus cooked in white wine with caramelized onions and guacamole. Add in an incredible sunset view and friendly service. Divine! Second visit The Calafia, with grouper as the fish of the day, was fantastic sashimi. Entrees kicked but again. Magbay for me. Corn tostada, fresh tuna and grilled shrimp with chipotle aioli and guacamole. Point Break for my boo. Corn tostada, fresh fish sashimi, fresh vegetables, avocado slices and coriander. So good. read more

Beautiful setting on the beach. Excellent customer service. We had 3M Rajos (fish tacos) and Skewers (fish/shrimp/steak). Great cocktails. The 15 minute drive out of Todos Santos on a dirt road and crossing cattle guards may be intimidating for some, but it is totally safe and worth the short journey. There is a winding path through shrubbery from the parking lot to the beach restaurant that young and old will find fun. Perfect place to catch the sunset. We were there in February and the wind was very strong. We wished we would have packed jackets and blankets, as we were freezing and left immediately after our meal to warm up in the hotel. read more

This place is beautiful and the food is wonderful, however, I have no choice but to leave a one star review. A group of 12 of us traveled in from Cabo San Lucas, over an hour and a half drive to visit on 10/29/2024. Everything started out just fine. Our reservation was for 7 pm. We arrived on time and after ordering food some of us walked down to see water (very close) and came back to eat our meals. I asked our waitress what time they closed at about 8:10 and she said 9... now mind you, their website CLEARLY states 10 pm. We had all eaten and wanted one more round of cocktails before we made our long trek back to Cabo, this was at 8:15 pm. The waitress looked at us like we were the scum of the earth and had just asked her to cut off her own arm. We tried to start splitting our own bill which they refused to help with before we ever ordered anything and then never thought to tell anyone there is an automatic tax added to the checks per I guess government of 16% of total bill that DOES NOT include tipping. So now we're all trying to figure out what we owe, whilst trying to split the 16% evenly based upon what each couple had ordered and then tried to figure in the tip. We all knew this would be an expensive bill but trying to decipher their mess was almost impossible. So we're all leaving at this point, tab paid... almost $500 USD dollars... here comes the bad part, they have a very cute green lighted path through the trees with huge exposed roots that we could barely see to get through to begin with, so as we are trying to leave they turned all of these lights OFF before we even got out of the restaurant so we're walking along in the dark when my partially disabled husband trips on one of those stupid roots and hurt himself, but now we're in the dark and he's on the ground, we all were trying to use our cell phone lights to get him back to our chartered van. I've never been so appalled in MY LIFE of this treatment after a pretty expensive meal. There are closer places to Cabo San Lucas that are just as beautiful, not as expensive and will treat you better than this. Such a disappointment because several folks with us had been dying to try this place out, some for a few years. Just make sure your reservation accommodates whatever time they WANT to close and bring your flashlights. What an awful experience and I'm so thankful my husband only required minimal medical care. Green Room has not only lost the business of us 12 but all of our other friends that travel specifically to the Todos Santos area for new experiences read more

Fantastic food, Amazing views, incredible staff! When I entered the property I asked, "Will I see a whale here." After a brief giggle Fernando responded, "Everyday!" I was not disappointed. We saw whales cruising by, whales breaching, whale flukes and baby turtles! It was so beautiful that we returned daily for three days. It's about an 1-1/2 hour drive from La Paz and totally worth the trip! We tried several dishes and each was prepared to perfection. The beers are ice cold and sis I mention the view? It's an endless beach with Crystal clear water. We were here in the first week of Jan 2022. The weather was perfect! read more
This place is magical. You walk through these tall greens all lit up in green fairy lights. On the other end is a beautiful outdoor beach bar perfectly appointed to take in the Baja sunset. It's like you enter this little wonderland. It was such a perfect place to spend an evening. The margs are great and the food is tasty too. My octopus tostada was sooooooo great. I wish I could have spent more evenings here. Really loving everything happening here. read more

Ate here in 2019 when it was still unique and friendly. And again in 2020 and 2023. Food still good but times have changed. Reservations for 5:30. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Then dinner. By 7:30 no dinner. Waiter did not come back to table. We decided to leave. No one seemed to be in charge or offer any apology. So disappointed as we had raved to guests about this place. Never against. Too many other restaurants to frequent. read more
This place is amazing for the sunset and ambiance. The staff is also incredibly friendly and provides great service. They even brought us blankets for the sunset. Unfortunately, the food is just okay. The fish and shrimp tacos I ordered were rather plain and the tortillas were hard and therefore, clearly not fresh. The tuna tartare, on the other hand, is outstanding. Definitely go here for drinks and the sunset. Enjoy the fire on the beach. Consider eating to be optional. read more

I don't understand how this place has mixed reviews. I will give the green room more than 5 stars if I could. The place is simple and magical. A very well thought beach club and restaurant. Definitely your place to go for sunset dinner. Make sure to reserve a beach table with fire pit days in advance. The service is impeccable, they go the extra mile to make you feel special and to have the best time. The food is pricey for Mexican standards but it is totally worth it, the quality and the flavors are excellent. The mezcalitas are the best in town. Try the tamarindo and the clasica. For food, the octopus tostada, the pineapple aguachile, the special guac and the fish tacos are to die for. Absolutely memorable experience. Sunset was spectacular! We visited twice during our TDS stay! read more

First, the good: Service is attentive and wanting you to be happy. Food is not described accurately on the menu. Many items exuberantly described on the menu arrive as a single pieces. "Roasted vegetables" consists of a stalk of asparagus. Goat cheese arrives as a few bunny pills. Parmesan cheese, dressing? Not there. Expensive drinks served without complimentary chips and salsa unheard of...except here. Staff will respond if you read the menu and compare it with what is served. I would not complain if it weren't so expensive. But it is, and relies too much its location and too little on delivering a quality food experience. Nevertheless, wait staff tries very hard to cover for an incompetent or uncaring kitchen. read more

Beautiful setting on the beach. Dine with your toes in the sand. Very good bar with variety of drink selections and expressive presentations. Limited menu, but again, offerings served with artistic presentation. Our tabled settled on Lobster Rolls. The lobster was very good, but the "roll" was soggy and flavorless. Very disappointing considering the $600.00 charge per roll. It was served with a small salad and excellent hand made seasoned potato chips. The chips were the highlight of the meal. Service was excellent, setting exceptional, but overall not worth the tariff. A beautiful place! Come for the ambience, drinks and snacks . But don't come very hungry. read more

Absolutely amazing dinner with friends. From the moment we parked the car and walked the path through the shrubs the experience great. Path was well lit, dined on the beach with a great view of the sunset, and under a canopy of starts after the sun went down. Service was perfect, no rush, always helpful, and pleasant. Food was perfect. We shared multiple appetizers and was very satisfied. Drinks were well crafted and delicious nothing was over bearing with alcohol. Make a reservation for an hour before sunset it comes and goes quickly! read more
Often when we go to a new place in Baja and it isn't on Yelp yet, I immediately put the business up and write the first review. I didn't do that when we came to the Green Room shortly after they opened in 2018 and am actually glad that I waited. This fantastically located restaurant and bar is owned and operated by surfers. All the menu items are named after surf breaks. And the decor is generally surfer oriented, but with some interesting twists thrown in. We came here the 1st time in Dec 2018 and were happy we did, but not ecstatic. While the view was great and the evening nice, the drive out there was difficult and there were limited dining options. The limited directions we had were not the best and we missed the turn in. We finally found it only to learn that while we were told that they were open that day, they were not. So we came back another evening when they were open, service was fine, the evening was beautiful but there was hardly anything for my wife (who doesn't eat seafood). Fortunately the chef was kind enough to make something off-menu for her and it turned out well. I, of course, loved the 2 seafood dishes I ordered. We also had a couple of other small issues that evening (ex. had reserved a table but were given 2 of the "swing seats" - so we moved to the bar area). So if I wrote the review back then it would have probably been a 4 star review. Afterwards, we shared our comments with a friend of ours in the area who is also in the food industry and a friend of the owners of the Green Room. Not sure if this impacted things, but our experience this trip was definitely 5 star. First of all, they have a better on-line presence so getting hours and information was easier - you can even make reservations on Open Table and specify standard seating or bar seating. They also have a webpage and a facebook page. Second, they have added a couple of non-seafood items to the menu including a veggie option and a beef option. BTW, the Vegan and beef options are on the menu shown on the G.R. website but not on the menu shown on the FB page and other review location. Those have not been updated. Third, the cocktails are a step up from the last time and the house wines are pretty decent. Even though they are more popular now and fairly busy, the chef is still flexible (within reason). This time we wanted to try the Rosarito Beach Rolls now that they have a veggie version, but my wife wanted me to try the marlin version. We asked if they could do half and half but the waiter explained that they way they are made this would be difficult. Later he came back and said the chef would do what we asked. It showed that the waiter was willing to go to the kitchen to see if it could be done and the chef was willing to do the extra steps to accommodate us. I was glad they did - both options were great. For entrees I got the Zippers (tuna) and she got the K38 (flank steak) tostadas. Both were excellent. Yes, the Green Room is a bit of a drive out of Todos, the location is almost always breezy/windy in the late afternoon, and there will be a few people who bring dogs and kids and let them run around. There is also great food, a beautiful location (including the grounds and the short walk from the parking area), a glorious sunset, and a star filled sky when the sun goes down. We will certainly return at least once each and every time we come to Baja. read more

If you find yourself in Todos Santos, this is a must! Ambiance and location are second to none!!! Food is fresh, delicious and creative. Drinks are delicious and unique. Music is beach vibe r&b. We have been here 4-5 times and it truly never disappoints; sit on the sand, listen to great music and watch the whales breech and the sun set. This was the first time we did not see/talk to the owner and unfortunately it showed. Food and drinks were just as delicious, but service was confused and disjointed. Had to order my third drink six times to get it once. There are worse things in life for sure. Still worth it, but be prepared to be patient as they grow. Will definitely be back!!! read more
This is a newer restaurant walking distance-next door-to Villa Santa Cruz a great spot to lodge just 10 minutes outside downtown Todos Santos. Unfortunately we only had drinks for the sunset as their chef was not in town and they had very limited food left on their menu. But we totally enjoyed friendly staff and amazing views of the sunset with our feet in the sand. We tried to go on Sunday night as they typically have live music then but they were either booked up or overbooked so we were bumped to Monday night. If you want to feel like you are away from it all and at a cool spot, this is a high recommendation if you find yourself in the Todos Santos area and Have had your fill of downtown. I think the owners are surfer dudes, super chill and mellow, so don't be in a rush from wait staff to service. But this is why you would want to go. Their margaritas were wonderful served in mason jars with both chili and sea salt rims. If I was staying at the Villa or a nearby vrbo house, it's so nice to just walk over without any need to drive! read more

Incredible location makes the high price tag worth it. Gorgeously plated fancy food was scrumptious but portions are small. But small portions don't matter when you're feet are in the sand, cute shrimp tostada in your snack pouch and whales leaping abound in the ocean! It's pretty much paradise. read more

The green room is hands-down, the best seafood spot in all of Baja! With breathtaking sunsets, and the Pacific Ocean as your backdrop, it's the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. Their craft cocktails, especially those made with their house Mezcal are incredible. This has become the highlight of our trip every year.
