    Guava pastry for desert
    Tina M.

Delicious. Great service. Beautiful venue. We had the beef tartar and the smoked eggplant appetizer that was vegetarian (which was a surprise favorite!). For mains we had the risotto and octopus. In this round the the risotto took the win, but both were delicious. And then the most delicious guava pastry desert, warm and freshly made. Added bonus: They brought a small bite for each of us of tuna something and a delicious bread with truffle. Making it feel like a five course tasting menu. We'll be back!

Favorite dish!!! The whole fish!! Wow! It was absolutely fabulous. Excellent pairing with a very particular Sauvignon blanc from Mexico

Wow!! What a experience. It felt like going to a coastal Michelin star restaurant. Definitely world class quality, concept and service. Try to get an outdoor table to watch the beautiful sunset. The complimentary bites are divine. Attention to detail including custom made pottery and plates, freshness of the food and uniqueness of the flavors! Plus really generous portions. Cocktails are yummy, wine list is dynamic and the Mexican wines were excellent. We were too full to try desserts. I tried to reserve next day for breakfast but the restaurant was fully booked for a 4 day event... so I totally missed that opportunity, it seems like breakfast is a must. But we are very glad we had the opportunity to dine here.

Out of all the other accommodations we saw around Todos Santos, this was by far the most beautiful and tranquil. La Poza is situated on a lagoon filled with spectacular bird life--from frigates and pelicans to ducks and comic coots. There are kayaks onsite to reach the nearby beach in 5 minutes or you may walk through palm forest along a path to the beach, which is favored by whales for afternoon displays. At sunset, green flashes are common. The food and drinks are consistently fabulous. And all the staff are bright and remarkably personable. For example, Carlos, a former professor and accomplished sommelier, assisted us in our Spanish classes between sips of Malbec at the pool-bar. Damarys, Sara, Juan Manuel, Eder, Ullyses-- each one exceded our expectations of service and friendliness. We could not have anticipated a more comfortable and welcoming experience

It was such a relief, and I appreciated knowing the staff could help with whatever I needed. The resort property is stunning - the perfect place to relax and unwind. We could enjoy kayaking in the morning, margaritas by the pool in the afternoon, and a personal campfire in front of our room in the evening. The restaurant was amazing, easily the best food we had during our stay in Todos Santos! I'm dreaming of the day I get to return to this magical hotel.

Julie said it was great and that is an understatement. The service here is incredibly fast and efficient. The wait staff is so professional. The guy in the front room is interesting. He's generally pretty cool, but sometimes a wee bit moody. It's all good. The food here is worth it. The Pacifica Taco, their specialty, has blackened fish and breaded shrimp. It's the best fish taco I've ever had. I never thought I'd have a better fish taco than La Lupita in Cabo, but I found it. Come here and order that. You won't be disappointed. We were here a week and ate at Pacifica Fish Market three times. My wife is partial to the vegan taco and she's not a vegan. But her eyes rolled back in her head after the first bite. The chips and guac is very pricey here and the guac needs more acid, so order extra lime, but it's good. The Taco Trio cost more than those three tacos individually. It's a tax on people that suck at math or don't pay attention. We'll be back.f

Fresh snapper, fried, with guacamole, cabbage, pickled onion, chipotle mayo, and cilantro on a yellow corn tortilla. The guacamole needed the house-made red salsa for heat. Some of the dishes are a bit pricey, but still highly recommended.

Thai. Yes the place serves that and other type of asian fare including sushamai (I'm too lazy to…read moresee how its spelled). All fresh. Thai though is the young dog, shepherd like, loving, that hangs there as well as a sibling, a French bull terrier. Yep both owned by the owners. Add in a wheelchair designed vehicle for a chicken who chills near the bar area and you start to gain a whole new experience and love. It's total open concept, modern with a nice breeze to boot. Covered no less, a plus these days. From the farm-acy to the happy chickens and eggs, you feel as though you are entering shangri-la. As you check out the menu, the owner brings over a sliced egg roll, four finger sized items with diced mushroom, chicken and other items. A Dipping sauce you want yo take home with you, or at least a quart to use. It's a warm welcome to the palette. The spouse selected the garden vegetables curry. She loved that it wasn't the standard fare of potatoes, carrots and onions. She went spice level three, and liked the level. For me, I would have gone 5. Still it was a winner. I went pad Thai with Shrimp. I liked that the veggies were the star here along with the noodles and shrimp and not a load of tamirand which you find way too often at Thai places. Serving sizes are large, you will take home leftovers. For those who are looking for a place to unwind, you will find it here. I say this not as a tourist, or one stopper but someone who lives permanently in Pescadero. It's easy to get to, if you are coming up from Cabo on the 19, once you get to Pescadero, right after the OxxO on the right, go right. It's the 2nd road on the left. There is a blue sign pointing to it. If you go past the town's one gas station you have gone too far. For those coming from La Paz or Todos Santos head down the 19 into Pescadero. Right after rhe gas station, it's on your left hand side, take a left. The blue sign pointing towards the restaurant will be your second left. Tips 1. This is a cash only operation, they also take zeille and Venmo. Even though we do Venmo, I went zeille. 2. It's dirt road here. 3. Pricing aligns to what you see nowadays in other places. This is a family owned business and the folks who serve and feed you are from the community. Thus you are making a difference not just with environment, but the community and those who reside and work there. 4. Buy a sweatshirt. It's for a good cause. We did. The place is closed on Mondays and like many places in the area will shut down for a month due to the low season (in this case the rainy time) for September. But opens back up in early October. Enjoy!

Food is quite vast as I'm not sure there is an identity, there is Thai, various Asian and fresh seafood. We opted for some of both. Fried rice, good flavor good portion. We asked for no onions but it had green onions all over/in it. The woman explained she thought we were only talking about white/yellow onions. Aguachile - fresh, but very spicy with serranos it really had us tearing up. Delicious, just be prepared. Carlito was nice and friendly, they are happy to help explain dishes. NO CREDIT CARDS, cash only and the prices are very expensive. We payed 2250 for lunch for 2 with one cocktail each.

The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We began with the plantain appetizer stuffed with cheese and served over a rich mole sauce. It was out of this world. If I could change one thing, I'd make the plantains a little larger--they were a bit smaller than the size of my palm--but the flavor more than made up for it. That mole sauce was everything: rich, slightly sweet, complex, and the perfect complement to the cheese-filled plantains. I could have eaten a bowl of that sauce by itself. For our entrées, we had the chicken penne Alfredo and the ribs with raspberry barbecue sauce. The Alfredo was creamy, rich, perfectly seasoned, and served in a generous portion. The ribs were equally impressive--tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the unique raspberry barbecue sauce. My only complaint is that I wish there had been more ribs because they were that good. Great food, great flavors, and a memorable meal. If you're anywhere near Todos Santos or Playa Cerritos, I highly recommend making a stop at Santos Pecados.
