The Athletics program is not the best but we have a few good teams here and there. Teachers are great, there is one or two staff members students don't like compared to the 20+ staff members that students love. The after school programs/clubs are great and if there isn't one about you like you could always create your own. The food is lovely and if you would like it to be better you could always order cafe from the Culinary students. Its location is amazing, after school you can walk over to walgreens, mcdonalds, and/or five guys and make it back to your bus in time. The Primes/Magnets are phenomenal. With Culinary bringing us cafe, Dance & Vocal bringing us shows, Carpentry building us items, Visual Arts bringing us beauty, I.T. making us programs, & Cosmetology doing our hair we create the best school possible. And + the new building is amazing.

Many of the unkindnesses were observed and ignored by staff. The academics were very disappointing - considerable gaps exist in my daughter's knowledge despite her 3.80 GPA and her participation in the SJB program. In general, her mathematical foundation is poor; e.g., she does not know how to convert relatively simple measurements or execute calculations. Similar issues exist with science. Some of these reviews cite lack of diversity; during our tenure, that was not an issue, so it appears to have been addressed. The college admissions assistance was nonexistent. We ended up having to spend over four thousand dollars to obtain guidance in time to submit the applications. Do NOT attend this school - so many other good schools are in the area!

The acoustics were pretty good. Performance was outstanding. Staff was a bit rude rushing parents into the theatre although they were trying to ask questions about parking and seating etc. Timing was not thoughtful as the event was at 5pm which was really tough due to downtown traffic and zero dedicated parking. Signage or direction could have been better. The address leads to the side entrance but the event entrance was around the corner. Ultimately, I will return for another show to support a local school that I respect so much, however, at least I know about parking and location in advance.

This school has reasons to be both fun and terrible. There are some things that make this school…read morefun but others make it the worst. The first reason I have which makes this school bad is that some teachers are VERY racist. Yes, I'm talking about you miss, (definitely targeted) like some of us actually want to learn but are treated unfairly. WDYM you won't let me sit with my friends just because I'm not the race you like. Some people have their IPADS out because "they forgot their computer" but you're gonna make copies for me when I don't have it... AND you're gonna write me up if you see my phone IN my pocket... My second reason is that the bathrooms are actually so dirty. WHY do the pad machines not work?? They are catching dust. OMG and the nurse? Before we actually got ice packs but now?? FROZEN.NAPKINS. HOW is a napkin gonna fix anything. My final reason is that the food is actually hazardous. We found food that was expired LAST year... Oh and the broccolis actually stink. The fruits smelt so bad because they were DEFINITELY not "fresh". But a few things are great, for example the activities that we did were pretty fun and some of the teachers were nice and made you feel welcomed in there classrooms. But some teachers, PLEASE make your classrooms better. In conclusion, this school is fun SOMETIMES and terrible most of the time. Shoutout to Mr. Fique (best advisory + gym teacher) and Miss Perez. I used to receive email updates for when the track was opened or closed, but I probably no longer use that email address, so I'm out of the loop. I used to come here with a running group to do track speed work and speed drills. Another time I used to come regularly was for a weekly boot camp group that met where during designated week nights. Nice 8-lane track. Standard 4x around is mile. There are bleechers so some people run up and down those as well. Public restrooms are available and in working order when I was here and easy to find at the entrance. I am not certain where parking is. I lucked up and usually find parking on the surrounding neighborhood streets. I am sure there is a school parking lot around the corner or something. Plenty of people out for brisk walks and jogging around the track and others were playing American football and soccer in the middle of the field. Highly recommend!
