If you're looking for a temp employment opportunities or if you're an employer looking for temp work employees then I would highly recommend The Greysmith Companies. The office itself is located within a refurbished factory. you have to do quite a bit of walking once you get into the building as it is on the 2nd floor and the hallways are long and winding. great if you use a step counter but bad if you have mobility issues and/or have adaptive equipment. be sure to let them know in advance if you have trouble with stairs/walking long distances as the facility doesn't have public elevators. they'll make appropriation for you though as needed. They have some parking spots within close proximity to the building. the building is bus line accessible and is ride sharing friendly. Also, make sure you bring all the appropriate documents they requested prior to your first office visit so it eliminate multiple trips. I found the staff to be very professional and prompt. You'll be aligned great opportunities if you put forth the effort. My only criticism is that the career consultants could be a bit disorganized with the on boarding paperwork but that's to be expected when your mass hiring. read more

I one day received a random call on my cell phone and decided to answer it. A young man called me claiming he found my resume on CareerBuilder, that I had an excellent resume, and he would like to have me come down to the office to meet with him one on one and fill out paper work. Since at the time I was still unemployed and I had nothing to do, I figured I'd give it a shot. I went down the the place, I filled out the paper work, and I noticed right away I pretty much was a zero match for any of the jobs or skills they were asking for. I have never done accounting, payroll, or anything administrative so I was a bit suspicious. I met the guy one on one and he was as polite as he could be, assured me he was able to find work for any client he had regardless of skills, and still insinuated I was a good match. I walked out of the interview feeling good, I even read reviews about this place on Google and most were positive. (although now I know some companies have fake positive reviews posted to make them look good). I never heard from him again. He wasted my time and I wasted my gas. Trust me when I say this that temp agencies most times are not worth anyone's time and that people would be better off doing internships if they need work experience. Recruiters make money based on how many people they can get to come down to their office and get a percentages of what that person makes from their assignments. I'll bet this guy was desperate for people and I took the bait. I'm sure for the people who are good matches for the jobs at this temp agency, they could have some success. But my advice to recruiters is to not waste people's time if they know ahead a time they aren't matched for any of their jobs. The recruiters that I worked with at Greysmith were very prompt. That's the only positive thing I have to say. Overall I felt they were manipulative, conniving salespeople just after their own commission. They don't seem to care about their individual clients, just the companies that employ them. The recruiter I worked with went so far as to call me rude when I wouldn't disclose what my other offers were. Don't trust these people. Also, the Google reviews seem to be fabricated. read more

I give this agency two stars because their business model is geared more towards their clients, not their employees. I'm not unhappy they didn't find me a job; markets dwindle, and the right position isn't always out there right when you want it. In fact, I recently got a job offer from my own search, even though I've been working with multiple employment agencies. What bothered me is all of their clients want to hire temp-to-perm as quickly as possible for long-term positions, which feels pressuring and rushed to me. They wouldn't even let me wait a few days to meet for interviews or even just think things over. I get the feeling their main concern is putting a warm body into an empty position, even if it isn't in the employee's best interest. Many times, they called with job prospects that didn't earn enough to cover rent or offer real growth in my career. I've tried working with them since September, but it hasn't panned out. Melissa is very nice, although slow to return my voicemails and emails. If you're only looking for a job to pay your bills, they may be able to help you. But try another agency if you want a personal touch - I've had great luck with Silverman McGovern. read more

Do not let Alex's interrogation method intimidate you, she is a unaccommodating relentless nag who disguises her behavior with pretty words like "open and honest" to make you feel like you are not cooperating. She fires questions at you with a smug tone and even after answering she'll continue to ask the same question over and over. I would touch base with them, they apologized for not following up every time but never changed. Then a great sounding job came through, but when I asked questions about it they said "let me get back to you" and never did. I have no idea how this place stays in business. My recruiter actually told me he had one, possibly two, offers that he'd refer me to, but I had to "fill out the paperwork" for Greysmith first. After I graduated college I was applying to jobs. I saw a position open with the Greysmith Companies for their company. I was invited to complete an in person interview with Jenna P. At the end of the interview, I was told that I was not the right person for that job but they have many jobs currently on their desk that I would be a match for. I was a bit annoyed because I felt that there was no job with their company, but this was a ruse to get more candidates in the door for their business. Nonetheless, being a recent college graduate, I thought that it could not hurt to have them search for potential positions in addition to my own search. My first issue with this company was that I told them exactly what job type I was looking for but all of the suggested positions they gave me were under other disciplines. Jenna kept telling me how having these companies on my resume would open doors. At times I felt bullied into doing what she wanted while she totally ignored what I wanted. There was a final straw incident that occurred where I completely stopped using their services and severed communications with this company. I had a personal issue and could not attend an interview they had set up for me. I was extremely flexible for rescheduling the interview. Jenna told me that rescheduling was not an option and it was a "now or never" type deal and was very aggressive towards me. Once again, I felt bullied to go to the interview (for a job that was not even the job type I was looking for) despite my unforeseen personal issue. It is amazing to me sometimes how accurate reviews are and how we should all pay attention to them. As humans, we generally will only take the time out of our days to overly praise, but more likely complain about someone or something. That being said, here is my complaint. After posting my resume on monster.com last week, I received a phone call from Jenna at The Greysmith Company. She seemed pleasant enough and eager to find a possible "temp to perm" job for me. I found it odd she didn't know a lot of my work history since she stated she had my resume, but I let that slide. We made an appointment for this week, yesterday as a matter of fact. Over the weekend I had some unforeseen personal events, and when I received a voicemail from Jenna on Monday asking to reschedule I was happy to do so. Unfortunately I was then not able to make our new appointment we booked and since it was after hours I sent a pleasant and professional email stating I wasn't sure when I would be available but I would contact her once I was. They next thing that occurred was amazing to me! Jenna actually responded to me that she does not reschedule any appointments more than twice. Ummmmm ok. Do you recall you were the first one to reschedule??? Guess that only counts against me! Also, I had a private family matter I was dealing with and until I actually wrote back to her explaining this (which really was none of her business since I don't know her or owe her any explanation) is when she apologized "if" she sounded harsh. And proceeded to say her company only works with candidates who have communication and reliability as their main goals. And if there are negative reviews anywhere it's due to the fact the candidates who posted these reviews don't possess those skills. Well, I hope not only will Jenna read this, but also her superiors. I am one of the most dedicated, reliable people you will NEVER have working for you! 28 years at the same company with almost every year perfect attendance. And my job was almost 100% communication. Greysmith agent, Jennifer B, left me a voice message one day saying that there are two potential positions that I am suitable for after checking out my resume from Monster. I recently accepted a job offer by myself by the way, didn't go through them. She asked me to meet her at the Whipple street location. They asked me for a bunch of information, e.g. SSN, signing W-2, proof of working in the United States. I rejected all because I am not comfortable providing any personal information to companies like this without even having any interviews with the potential employer. I only showed her my proof at the location and refused any attempts of getting copies of my information. I was about to leave because she wasn't there to meet me when I first got there. A receptionist gave me all these paperwork to fill out. I didn't really finish any of them, I asked to either have Jennifer to meet me or I was going to leave on the spot. So Jennifer came and met me and we actually had an hour chat discussing my resume and the positions she mentioned in the phone. The reasons I gave 1 star for Greysmith Companies are: 1) Very sketchy, they pushed for getting my information at the beginning and stopped because they failed to do so 2) Very eager to put me to crappy positions (interviews) while they pay crap. 3) I am not sure if people realize this but the agents that contact you only want commissions from putting you up to the job. 4) Direct hires are not very common; meaning you will be working for Greysmith for their client until the client approves you and wants to hire you. Until then, you work for Greysmith. 5) Personal experience with Jennifer B was horrible. She used my previous salary to talk me into a lower salary range (hence reason 3), and I know I worth way more. It was my own fault that I didn't negotiate for my last job and that's beyond her. She only wanted me to go for the job and she knows I am one of the best candidates in the pool to get that job. 6) I politely informed her via email that I want to withdraw from the job search because I recently accepted a job offer that I personally gotten through, she immediately emailed back and asked me for my current information. I am very protective with my personal information; therefore, I feel strongly against letting her know anything and this is my personal thought. Other people might find this okay, but I do not. I read most reviews on here when I was first contacted by Jennifer. I found that if they are unprofessional and pushy, that's because you didn't show them your firm stance, what you are looking for, and/or your knowledge of your own value. I would say that this company is still a good resource for finding jobs but these jobs are mostly going to be temp/contract and with very little chance of getting direct hires. I am confident about my professionalism/experience/skills; therefore, I did not rely on them. Lastly, I would like to say, please do not rely on staffing companies (unless you're a big shot). You need to go out there and search for jobs by yourself. Some people here complained how long it took Greysmith to get back to them, that's a wrong attitude to start your job search. Be active and seek for jobs, do not solely rely on staffing companies, they are not responsible for your life (I mean income here). I was contacted the other day by a recruiter named Jennifer. She immediately started asking if I was unemployed. (For low wage negotiation) She then proceeded to try and rush me into an interview, without offering a specific job. She told me I would need to fill out paperwork including giving away my SSN, before my meeting with her to 'discuss' potential jobs. She then explained how this wouldn't be a waste of my time and gas. The fact that she needed to explain in-depth of how it wouldn't be a waste to come in, only confirmed that it would be a waste. Then I actually did some research online and saw these Yelp reviews as well as many others on other sites that show they are a complete joke of a company. Basically getting bodies in the door to meet resume collection stats. Typical staffing agency. I told them I am looking for work as a financial analyst, and she told me that if they found that type of work they would let me know. But that I should still come in and give away all my personal info and it wasn't a waste of time and gas. I emailed her telling her that I didn't want to come into the interview because of bad reviews I read online, and that I heard they basically farm resumes and skim largely off of employee pay. She then called me the next day trying to argue with me and debate the finer points of my email. It was clear that I upset her, and she went on and on trying to tell me how I was wrong and how I should still come in. That call just proved every negative review. I don't want to work with you! You are a terrible company! Then they call me, whining and trying to argue with me. Like who ARE you? Why would I ever want to work with someone so emotionally unstable and unprofessional as you? At first seemed like a good company. I was placed with a retiree benefits company and really enjoyed my time there and the atmosphere from the other people working there. The contract ended after open enrollment ended. That is when my troubles with Greysmith started. My coordinator, Rachel Peters, was never available and scheduled me for any interview but never send the confirmation of the interview including date, time, company name and address, so as a result I missed the interview. She never responded to any of my emails including the request for the interview information nor the email I sent later when I found a new staffing agency to work with. Instead Rachel and the Greysmith company contacted unemployment and told them I had voluntarily quit, so my benefits now have been pended awaiting an appeal. Such childish behavior. I never stopped looking for a job. But went instead to an agency that had multiple companies wanting to interview me. Beware who you work for, by far Greysmith has been the most unprofessional. They were excellent and aggressive in trying to find me a position right away. My recruiter Zach was great! Very professional and found exactly what I was looking for. So if you can, please try and get Zach as your recruiter as there are some there who are not so great. During the last week of my assignment, Zach was away and I had had a terrible migraine and called both my assignment and Jennifer (the recruiter filling in for Zach. Not sure which Jennifer as there are two) that I would not make it in and she was AWFUL. She was rude about the situation and pretty much said, "well there's a lot of work to do, you really should go in". Now I am not a person who calls out if I have a small headache, I avoid calling out at all costs and was the first time I had ever done so with this assignment, but it was awful on that day. She felt as though being ill seems to not exist or as I quote her "Well I suffer from migraines as well and after prescription medication they go away in a couple of hours". Well I guess we should all handle migraines the way she does. She then proceeds to imply that I probably will not go into for work the next day asking, "Well are you going in tomorrow?" Of course I'm going in! Just because of one day, I suddenly will not go into work anymore? She was a piece of work. I have been nothing but professional with this company and represented their company very well to their client and in return Jennifer was rude and selfish. Again, Zach was excellent, so if you are looking into Greysmith, make sure you get Zach and avoid this Jennifer at all costs. read more

Worst experience ever! If I could give them less than a star I would. I decided to try this agency after trying to get a job on my own. I explained what I was looking for and how much I wanted in salary. I was told that it shouldn't be a problem with my experience. I was then told that I can get an interview with a local company but not for the position or salary I wanted. I informed the rep (who I think her name was Julie) that was not something I wanted and she knew it. She yelled at me and said I should go to the interview for practice. I agreed reluctantly...she then put me on hold and came back and said that it was ok. Pretty positive she put me on hold cuz someone heard her yelling at me. Met up with Jenna had a sit down interview. Seems optimistic about this company. She said that she had a position for me. The company didn't get back to her until 2 weeks in and she neither did she. Finally she got got back to me because I received a nice little package in the mail saying they were going to terminate or not hire me because of my background. They decided to do a defendant search and had the wrong person. Spoke to the manager and he said we will look into it. Finally called again and that's when I spoke to her about the position. She said that the company spelt into two so she didn't know what was going on with the hiring. Since then have not heard once from her about any other positions. Extremely dissatisfied with this company. Been over a month and no Positions for me. Even when I tried to call or email I was ignored. Don't recommend coming here. Greysmith has multiple jobs posted on all the job sites. I have applied for many of these positions, sending my resume' since July to November 2016. I have never gotten a call or any response for my resume. I have more than ten years of experience and highly educated. I would have thought I would have a least gotten a phone call or email. I feel bad for their clients who are missing out on good and experienced talent because Greysmith will not contact qualified job seekers sending in resumes'. read more

At first this company seems to want to always help you look for employment. After the first interview I found that my case worker lacked any sense of ambition. when you call in every week to check in the caseworker is always on lunch or busy. They claim to have never received the voicemails which is contrary to what is said by the main operator. After having this company try to find me a job for 4 months, I received no phone call with any job opportunities. When I finally spoke to my case worker she seemed offensive that, I held her to the standards of her doing her job. I recommend other staffing companies, this was one of the worst companies I have ever had try to help me find employment. I later found a job on my own no thanks to graysmith solutions. This company prides itself on being professional and yet they do not act or hold employees up to that same level. read more
