I went in for an "interview" where I met with everyone from the receptionist to the owner. I was initially impressed at how warm and seemingly genuine everyone was. I clearly stated the fields I was interested in and the type of work I wanted. They told me they would revise my resume with a few jobs in mind, and I would hear back from them. They wanted to offer me a job with them which although was appealing for experience, was not something long term I wanted to get into and felt would interfere with my dream job. I applied to all available legal and admin jobs listed on their site. I even interviewed for a lawyers office that I thought went exceptionally well, especially considering how well prepared, dressed, and articulate I was compared to the girls much younger than myself that interviewed me (6 in total in 3 rounds). I was also offered a job that I had no interest in far away from where I live where traffic was horrendous and would take me over 2 hours round trip daily. Again, I stated these were not the positions I wanted unless they pertained to legal, admin, government or municipal employment. I had to email and call them over 2-4 times, which I have copies of. They were apologizing because they couldn't be bothered at the very least to call me and tell me if I was considered, employer wasn't interested in hiring, if they were still interviewing, etc. It's sad when you have an interview and don't hear back from them since you cannot directly deal with the employer-seems like they dropped the ball. For being out of work for almost 2 months, being more than well qualified for these jobs, and not hearing back after an interview for over one month since I had to send an e-mail asking what was going on.. I'm all set with dealing with such an unprofessional agency. I understand things happen, but I shouldn't have to hold your hand to request basic information. It makes me that much happier I didn't entertain an office assistant position with them, which seems to have a quick rotation in vacancy. I can't get a response after a month for an interview, but they want to call me last week about "another job opportunity." I've gotten this 4 times. Each time, it's either something I specifically don't want and no explanation as to what happened with the last job. For the resume they "edited" and I requested a copy of, they included NONE of my experience being self-employed, interning for a police department, or working for a senator, which seems to me would work well for legal jobs. I watched them right it down on a rough copy, which is interesting since it's nonexistent on the one they send out. Good luck to anyone that deals with them. I'm baffled by the 5 star reviews they have considering the lack of Linked-In traffic. I seriously doubt the credibility of this organization. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had success with other agencies if you could e-mail me :) To City Personnel...no need to respond to "You do everything you can..." in response to this review. You clearly do not. Good luck staying afloat!

It's too bad Mr. P. and Ray C. had such poor experiences, but I'm willing to bet their attitudes and skills didn't line up with Randstad's high expectations. I've been with Randstad for about a year and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I sent them my resume on the advice of a friend, and by the time I met with them - the next day - everyone in the office had seen it and was keeping me in mind as opportunities opened up. My meeting/interview was great - it was clear they were interested in setting me up with something. They didn't require me to take any tests, perhaps because of the strength of my resume and interview. (It seems that's something they ask of people who aren't strong candidates.) While I was chatting with my representative at the office, another staff member popped in and asked me if I was interested in a position he'd just learned about - in fact, he was on his way back from meeting with the company's managers. It sounded interesting, so I said sure. Within two days I was interviewing with that corporation, and I started there a few days later. Since signing on with Randstad, I've been placed in 3 positions. I've enjoyed each one. I've never had to worry that I'll be unemployed - each time an assignment ended, I was set up with a new one within a few days. Randstad's staff work together to match temps with great positions, so I don't have to hunt down my rep each time I have a question - I can talk to anyone in the office because they all know my name, skills, and assignment. I'm paid well, I'm paid on time, and I'm confident that if I ever need anything the Randstad staff will help me and advocate for me. Currently, I'm working in a non-profit office, in an organization I respect, with people I really enjoy. I'm expecting a permanent position offer shortly - thanks to Randstad's work on my behalf. I'd recommend them to anyone.

They claim to be a temp to perm but less than 50% of the people they have placed have been hired directly for a company and they don't do anything to ensure that. 2. They care more about the money they are making off of the people the place than the actual employees. 3. As long as they have and maintain a good relationship with their clients, they don't care about employees. 4. Working for them was a nightmare. My manager claimed she wanted me to learn the most while I was there and she cared about my professional development, but for the 3 months I worked here, not once did she sit down with me and discuss my long term goals or attempt to train me in any way. 5. Ask them how many employees they have had for their offices within the last 2 1/2 years. 6. They rip people off with their pay.. not just their direct employees, but the people who they place at jobs too. And God forbid you want to speak to someone from payroll to fix the issue. They dismiss you and tell their employees to deal with the situation because "there is nothing they could do about it." There are a ton of different agencies in the area, take your time and stop by another one if you're near one.
