Quick walk to restaurants, the tow path trail, the national park store and other shops and galleries. This building had been a general store from the 1920s-1960s, a barbershop and a post office. By the early 1960s the building, in near total disrepair, was nearly torn down to make a parking lot. Fortunately the historic store was saved before demolition began and restored by Robert Hunker. The main level has been redone as a coffee shop with ample seating areas, and it was full of customers on a Thursday afternoon working on laptops and meeting with friends. My green tea latte was delicious. The lower level is still a gallery space with a bold mix of artwork for sale. The high-quality Pendleton blankets have moved upstairs along with a vintage clothing room. They have a resident photographer and multiple event spaces available. Why run one small business when you put multiple offerings into one historic building?? I look forward to drinking a beer and listening to live music in the back when the weather warms up.

The flatbread is actually two whole flatbreads and the dip was the size of a dinner plate. They were kind to get us an extra loaf of bread to go with the dip because we ran out.
