The rye bread is so good. I couldn't tell that it was gluten free. We treated ourselves to the coconut cream tart and it was excellent as was the strawberry rhubarb crumble. I am not a connoisseur of gluten- free, but I am a connoisseur of great food in general and this place fits the bill. I got convinced to go here ( multiple times) by a celiac friend and the soups are out of this world. They are different every day and I want to try every single one. I could not get enough of the cheddar potato soup. The baked goods don't taste gluten-free in the slightest. They're just great! I tried the raspberry chocolate truffle cake once and another time I tried the Saskatoon berry cream cheese bar. The first was rich and the icing was amazing, and the second was creamy but a bit too sweet and not cream cheese-y enough for me. They have lots of vegan options too and seem to be fully vegetarian. They are 100% gluten free for sure. Prices are pretty good here for what you get and considering its a specialty bakery. A large soup and scone combo is $7. Also the selection is huge.. They have like 30 different dessert options on top of breads, scones, cookies, and a light lunch (soup or sandwich) menu Ps I hear great things about the bean bread and the vegan chili which is always on the soup menu. read more

I wasn't too impressed with this place. They didn't serve people in the order that they were coming in. No place to sit if you didn't want "take away" but I guess that's what they want. Vegan selection was poor even though they have a huge sandwich board indicating so. Had only one choice of vegan bread which wasn't that tasty. My daughter who isn't vegan didn't like any of there selections so she left with nothing. Didn't even look at the dessert selection as I was unimpressed with the service. read more

We purchased 6 cupcakes and 4 scones. The cupcakes were in the freezer for 50% off and tasted delicious. 2 scones were spinach and feta, the other 2 were a sweet scone. We over splurged on our week-long visit to Saskatoon, but how often is it that you run into a bakery that's gluten-free? (Hint: not often.) I think my absolute favs were the pumpkin bar and the lemon cupcake, complete with a little lemon curd on top. Their flax bread and sandwiches are SO good, too! The husband couldn't even tell it was gluten free, and he usually can tell. His fav was the cookie dough cupcake, and I can concur it was super tasty. 12/10 would do again - and would come back to Saskatoon JUST for their food! read more

Had takeout lentil soup (exceptionally delicious), and quinoa cashew salad, and daughter had chili in a jacket potato for lunch today. All were fresh and delicious. Prices were very low for the Hugh quality of ingredients and preparation. Highly recommended and hope to have their spinach feta scone with broccoli cheese soup for lunch tomorrow. Best damn cake I've had in a while, gluten or non. Seriously, we come here a lot because my husband and son are both gluten-intolerant (though not celiacs, take note!), and the baked goods are top-notch, light and clean-tasting. I personally recommend the baguette, which my husband insisted was not gluten-free (but was!), the scones, both savory and sweet, which are light and fluffy, the sandwiches, which are really creative, and the pumpkin cheesecake, which is downright fabulous - light, creamy and spicy on a buttery crust. I do have a few suggestions for turning the baked goods into something transcendent: possibly brown the crusts of the slices, tarts and cheesecakes more in order to emphasize the buttery crispness, and try to shave or finely chop the chocolate in the cheesecakes - I find that the chunks are more difficult to eat and transmit flavor less efficiently when I have to chew them and then let them melt in my mouth. Finally, I know it's a takeaway, but I hope that you are also able to open a cafe somewhere soon, as it is a wonderful feeling to be able to go out as a family and not have to worry about gluten. And as for that cake? It was a beautiful vanilla cake with not-too-sweet vanilla icing and a raspberry filling, and it was amazing! read more
