Every time we arrive, they are super excited to be at camp Mimi's! I find them to be well organized, fairly priced, and definitely passionate about what they do. They offer many different services, Which is extremely convenient so I don't have to drive my dogs to different places. I'm confident they have a great time when they are there because they are able to run free for most of the day, and with having active dogs ( 2yo boxer and 1yo Weimaraner) they need to burn that energy. I have no issues with any of the rules or regulations they have in place, because I know they are there for the safety of my dog! We will definitely be continuing to use Camp Mimi for as long as we live in this area.

We are an airline family and travel quite often. Bear really liked camp Mimi at first but the last time Bear went to camp mimi she was drugged. After an 8 day stay, my elderly father had to carry our 70 pound German shepherd and place her in the car. For the next 3 days Bear was intensely lethargic and we had to carry her out to use the bathroom. Fast forward a few years later going to a different grooming/kennel place to find out from a previous worker that Bill and Sylvia do in fact tranquilize/ drug animals. Thankfully, we have a very happy, healthy, and energetic 6 year old girl, but, the thought of these adults hurting another animal is enough to make me sick. Please DO NOT take your animal to camp Mimi. I absolutely wish I had some sort of proof of this so that I could put these folks out of business. Attached are photos of my sweet Bear girl. Given his age, I trusted their guidance and felt pressured into services that were presented as necessary. Sadly, my dog passed away within a month of starting that plan. What made an already heartbreaking situation worse was that I continued to be charged monthly for a year after his death. I called and was told that they were sorry for my loss, but the "insurance" would continue to be charged for the next 11 months. Veterinary care should be compassionate and transparent--especially with senior pets. Instead, I felt like a revenue stream rather than a client with a beloved family member. I would strongly caution other pet owners, particularly those with elderly animals, to ask very direct questions and carefully review any ongoing plans before agreeing to them. Our new fur baby is going to a nice country, non-corporate veterinary hospital that does not try to constantly upsell.

I wasn't told the fluid could migrate so on Sunday I was alarmed when I saw that had happened. I brought my dog here and explained the situation and that he was given fluid the day before. The vet met my dog and felt the area and said it didn't feel like fluid. We discussed some options and they left. The nurse or whoever she was came back and said they would have to set me up with their sedation plan for 1500.00 and the treatment cost could increase to 3000.00. Like really...I've had dogs over 10 years and I have never heard of this. I declined of course and said I would take him to SaVE in fayette and the nurse replied that they were having issues and sending their patients to them...I called them and found out that wasn't true. Luckily I was able to get in with another vet and he confirmed it was the fluid migrating and my dog was fine. I even checked back with my vet the following morning and they confirmed as well and apologized that I wasn't told that could happen. If you love your pet and your money...Do not go here....
