Our daughter was graduating from Fort Benning and we traveled from IL with her fur baby. Ami helped us by keeping him during the ceremony so we could attend. We met her when we dropped off our daughter six weeks before. What first impressed us was that she was the only groomer in Columbus we contacted that wanted to meet our pup to make sure it was a good fit. We really appreciated that and knew she really cared about her animals and making sure they were all safe and not stressed. She kept him for an hour giving us time to go eat while they got acquainted. He did amazing and they were all so incredibly nice. Then, on graduation day, she came in earlier than her posted hours so we could attend the ceremony on time. He loved his time there and we felt so relieved to have a safe and loving place for him to be while we were away. Especially in an area we are not from or familiar with. It could not have gone better!! Her facility is well cared for, everyone working there is over the top friendly and it is clear they love what they do. We are so thankful for Ami and all of her help! We highly recommend Yuppy Puppy Grooming Salon and Doggy Hotel!

Northridge Veterinary Center has taken care of everything: her vaccines and rabies shots, spay procedure, annual check- ups, and even boarding her when I travel. The staff is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Not just toward my dog but towards me as well. They communicate clearly, answer any questions I may have, and always make me feel confident that my dog is in good hands. It is such a comforting feeling knowing she's being cared for by people who are not only knowledgeable but also truly happy to be there. I am so grateful for the love and attention they've given her over the years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The only downside is that they can be a bit on the pricey side, but the quality of care and peace of mind they provide makes it worth it for me.

We had a wonderful experience with Northridge with our English Bulldog and her journey with cancer…read more So when we adopted another dog, we took her to Northridge. One morning she had a medical episode that was an absolute emergency. I called the vet to rush her in and was told I could bring her in within 30 minutes. (Yea - you need an appointment in an emergency.) After about 20 minutes of evaluation, I was told to take her to the Auburn ER. It was 10am. And Auburn ER is an hour away. I DESPERATELY with I had questioned this because it was only 10am and my dog was in medical distress and Auburn is a long drive. She died on the way. I took her into Auburn ER anyway. And they looked her body over and said they believe she had anaphylactic shock. Which is treatable by a vet. So they asked me multiple times who sent me and why did they send me all the way to Auburn? Insinuating that my vet should have recognized the symptoms and treated her. This was a traumatizing experience. And I daily ask myself why didn't I question driving that far with a dog in medical distress. We have taken our new dog to our previous vet. Who in a situation with one of our English Bulldogs, chose to evaluate her for several hours before sending me to Auburn, only because heart issues are a specialty.

He had been running around like this for some time (a few months) as I fed him he got a little stronger, I saved some money and brought him to Dr. Lefranc. When I say the cat was ragged, it's a kindness, he had matted fur, smelled horrible, and was hopping around on the equivalent of a broken forearm. His will to live amazed me and when I brought him to Lefranc he couldn't have been kinder and more gentle. He examined him, told me what he was going to do (he had to amputate his arm to the shoulder) and told me how much it would all cost. (He actually had a lot more to do: de-flea him b/c of the surgery, groom his matted fur, fix him, and do the amputation... and all of this was far less than I expected to pay). After the surgery I went in every day to check in on the stray, make sure he knew I didn't abandon him and the staff and Dr couldn't be kinder, letting me in back to hold and pet him. 4 days later I brought him home, named him Stinky (halitosis) and I have never had a sweeter cat in my life. He traveled from Columbus, Ga to Brooklyn, NY and all around Manhattan, all the while my constant companion saw me single, married, and met my child (who's first words were 'cat' and 'stinky'). This cat survived and lived much longer and had a better life because of Dr. Lefranc and his caring staff and I could never thank them enough. I write this today because after 8 years Stinky has moved on peacefully, and I needed to make sure that Dr. Lefranc knows what he did was a blessing for me and my family. Thank you.

Recently, we had to manage end-of-life planning for our beloved dog, Harbaugh. The entire team was understanding and supportive as we made one of the hardest decisions of our lives, and they treated Harbaugh's journey with dignity and love. Their thoughtfulness and caring has always been extensive, but in this case, they personally delivered a beautiful flower arrangement and a heartfelt card that brought us so much comfort. It meant the world to us to be cared for not just as clients, but as family walking through grief. We cannot thank 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital enough for their continuous compassion and support. For that, we give them the highest recommendation.

We started with a series of weekly Zoom meetings to practice leash skills before moving to in-person classes to practice off-leash skills. Carolyn would leave us with things to practice during the week and followup with an article that provided extra information in writing. Then the next week, we'd demonstrate how well the new skills were coming, she'd offer feedback, and then we'd move on to the next body of skills. By the end of the classes, I felt comfortable taking Ollie to the park for hikes or the beach for walks. I lean on her training and email advice when tackling new skills like heeling alongside the bike. And to say one more thing: she is developing a very strong community of well behaved off leash dogs that meet regularly for group walks and dog to dog socializing. I never imagined this is the training or community I would leave with when engaging Carolyn for training. I simply wanted a dog that wouldn't jump on visitors, now I have a dog that I can confidently take on trips and out to lunch. I'm forever grateful!

After just one lesson, I learned what I could do to reduce her anxiety, and WOW what a difference in Molly. We only needed one lesson, and within weeks, Molly's behavior had improved so drastically that she was able to go to group play and not snap at other dogs! On walks, she no longer pulls or barks at other dogs. In the house, she's no longer a maniac! Thanks to Carolyn, Molly can relax! We join Carolyn on her group walks--a great time for Molly to socialize and mind her manners while learning to ignore distractions. I HIGHLY recommend taking your dog to Carolyn--puppy, adult, whatever, you will see a difference in your dog's behavior!
