I came hoping for Mediterranean food, but I guess showed up on the wrong day or time. They only had 45 minutes until they closed for the day, so I should be grateful they served me at all. The gumbo was amazing and the beignets were as well. It was very reasonably priced.

I counted 60 bites on my body and there were at least 100 on my friend. We had bites on our arms, neck, legs, feet, and hands.

As charming as the Guest House appears, we had an unfortunate experience with bed bugs in the Revels Room on 8/3/25. After our stay, I counted 60 bites on my body and over 100 bites on my friend. As soon as we discovered the bugs, we reported it to the front desk and general manager. We appreciated being immediately moved to another room to complete our stay, but the damage was done and we were not given any support in making sure any bugs were moved to the new room or came home with us in our things. This made us feel that the Guest House is underprepared and ill-equipped to handle the inevitable spreading of the bed bugs. Immediately after our stay, we had to go through the arduous process of checking all of our clothes and bags for bugs and eggs-- leaving our things to sit in the sun on the porch in hopes that any stowaway bugs would be killed. Because we are on a long trip away from home, we had to spend time laundering our clothes at a laundromat, and because of severe reaction to the bites, we had to visit an urgent care for a steroid shot and medication. We have spent every night and day since our stay extremely uncomfortable and paranoid about bugs. We have tried to get in touch with the general manager to request a refund for our stay to cover our unexpected medical and laundering costs. But despite sharing photos and videos of the bugs with the general manager the evening of our stay, a message through their guest portal regarding our experience (because there is no visible email to be found on the website), speaking with two different staff and leaving our contact information over the phone, we have not been able to get in contact with the general manager. We feel this is a small ask and did not want to leave a poor review, but we feel we're left with no other option. To any future visitors, I would not recommend staying here until you can be sure the issue has been throughly handled, and be prepared for difficulties resolving issues after you've physically left. We are still hoping to revolve this matter soon and will continue to try to reach the general manager about this issue.

Excellent food and service Great Chef Good Shawarma, gyros, red beans and rice Great courtyard ,

Grilled Salad with Roasted vegetables, with a greek yogurt dip.

Food was amazing, ambiance was great, service was phenomenal. Would highly recommend. Got the grilled salmon and it was cooked to perfection. First time trying Gyro, certainly won't be the last, also was phenomenal. Both came with rice, which we both chose curry. Not a mistake at all, delicious. Pasta salad was divine. The bread was the best i've ever had, along with the humus and baba ganoush. All of the food was the freshest i've ever tasted from a restaurant. Server was charismatic and funny, while professional and kind. The ambiance truly reminded you of the ornate building you are dining in. Would highly recommend if in the area or even if you're not, it is very worth it.

Feta salad with gyro meat added... not on the menu, but worth requesting!!

The Feta Salad (romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, purple onions, kalamata olives, feta cheese, in a light Greek dressing) with gyro meat added, is my new go-to. Generous portion and yummy!! Don't be shy to make this special (not on the menu) request-- Chef is happy to oblige!

First of all... the dessert was amazing! Beautiful presentation and super friendly service. Huge serving! We had an appetizer and fabulous Lebanese tea with pine nuts and dessert! Very clean and quiet on a Friday night... big plus... if you haven't been here.. take a break and come on by!!! They also do a breakfast brunch!!

This is the real deal. Mujaddara, sumac, musakha, halloumi... if you're into authentic middle eastern food with full flavor then this is your place. We found it by accident while walking around town and we were so pleasantly surprised. They even serve manaeesh!

Lamb chops !!! Order them because you probably won't and can't make them this good!

We went on a quiet Sunday night and got great service. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. I love going to middle eastern restaurants and was happy to know the Chef is from the Middle East.

Great lunch spot. We came in the front of the hotel and you walk straight back and down some stairs to the left into the restaurant or you can come in from the side street into the restaurant courtyard. My mom & I stopped in on a Friday for lunch and had a wonderful meal. We both shared several plates. We had halloumi cheese, tabouli salad, shawarma and a gyro. Everything was really good and came out reasonably quick so it would be a great spot if you ned to have a quick lunch. We sat at a table facing the glass walls looking into the courtyard so we were able to enjoy the beautiful day. The courtyard was really cute and has tables to enjoy outdoor dining if you choose. Our server was very pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Cool vibe. The usual eats. Being raised in the NOLA area, this was nothing that stood out but nothing to complain about besides weak drinks.

This place is great…read more I pulled into Marksville last Tuesday evening. It was my first visit and I was in town for work. Since it was dinner time, I searched Yelp for restaurants and discovered many are inside the casino and most were closed on Tuesdays. The few exceptions were fast food joints, several Mexican joints, and Habibis. I chose Habibis and liked it so much that I convinced my team to come back the next day for lunch. It is that good. For dinner, I had beef kabobs. They were among the best kabobs I have ever had. Tender pieces of beef flavored and cooked perfectly. Yes, please. For lunch, I had the combo shawarma and gyro plate. It was as good as the beef and among the best that I have ever had. Would I go back to Marksville just to eat here? Probably not, there is not much else to do in town if you don't enjoy casinos. Will I be back here to eat if I am in town for work? Hell yes. If you find yourself in Marksville, you should make sure and try Habibis.

The food at Habibis was the best I've had in Mansura, besides my family's home cooking! No matter…read morewhat you are in the mood for, they've got you covered: pasta, rice, pita. The lamb chops were cooked to the temperature I specified. The rice was deliciously cooked. The sauces and the homemade dressing were amazing. The only thing better was the hummus drizzled in oil and garnished with extra chickpeas. We had an intimate Sunday family lunch (aka large party), and the hostess and waitress provided excellent service. Photo Credits - E. Mullins

Cafe Phoenicia is my go to Greek & Lebanese restaurant in Zachary! I've been coming here for years…read more I like that it's somewhat different than other similar types of restaurants, and that their dishes are consistently good. One of the first differences is that most dishes include a choice of salads. We are all familiar with the Feta Salad, and this is a good choice. However, this place has a Fatoush Salad option, that includes a topping of crispy pita croutons. This is my favorite option! Then we move along to the entrees. Surprisingly, they have a good variety of seafood offerings, which is a reasonable component of Greek cuisine. I like all of these! Then there are a variety of pasta dishes, all with a great Greek flavor. One delightful dish is the Stuffed Plate which includes a variety of stuffed vegetables, along with a salad! There are also great classic options like lamb shanks, shawarma, and gyros. The simple gyro sandwich is always a good option, and priced nicely. That's what I like about Cafe Phoenicia, no matter if you want the simple or the adventurous, they have something to satisfy you.

Oh, what a treasure this place is!…read more I am a big fan of Mediterranean food and this place does not disapoint. I had the cold plate with a side of gyro meat in order to try a little bit of everything and boy, I was glad I did. Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. The real stand out for me is the tzatziki sauce - HOLY CATS!! I have never tasted anything so good.

THIS PLACE IS THE JAM Y'ALL…read more For Jackson, this is about as good as Mediterranean food is going to get. I gave it four stars because well, I lived in New Orleans, and I've tasted better Mediterranean food (Lebanon Cafe, Mona's). That's not to say that this Mediterranean food is not good. It's SO good. Shin e. is right, they do have a grocery section which is nice, unfortunately, Jackson doesn't have a huge need for Middle Eastern groceries, so some of the items may have sat on the shelf for a lil' while. The stuff in the case is solid though. The desserts are for the most part really good. The tiramisu is AWESOME, but I'm not sure that it justifies the $5.99 pricetag. Try a chocolate pecan bar instead, they're really good (but I'm not sure that it's a middle eastern thing) The hummous is SO SO fresh, you can taste the lemon and olive oil. Do yourself a favor and get some to-go for later in the week. Okay so pricing is a little pricy, but in all fairness the portions are pretty huge. The best time to go is for lunch, where you can get lunch plates in the neighborhood of $6-9. Dinner gets a little pricy with plates ranging from $10-$20. I had the kebab which was good, but not the best I've ever had. Then I tried my brother's dish, and realized I made a mistake choosing meat. This place is called Mediterranean Cafe and Fish Grill, and griling fish is a fine art that they have perfected. True, they use frozen fish, but they do a pretty good job at making it palatable. Hell, even more than palatable. I would recommend getting the pasta with fish. The pasta is done in this mediterranean sauce that I'm not familiar with, but it's delicious, and there are also grilled vegetables with it too. DEF. worth the visit. The owner (Elias?) is a very accommodating guy. One last tip, this place is BYOB! Which is amazing! (Except on Sundays). There's a liquor store in the strip, but I'd recommend shopping elsewhere for wine selections.

From the time I walked in and until I walked out I was treated like family! The Greek Beef Stick Wrap was outstanding. The beef was seasoned perfectly with that classic Mediterranean blend of savory, slightly herby, and deeply flavorful without being overpowering. Every bite was balanced and satisfying, making it both hearty and fresh at the same time. The Spicy Feta Dip was the perfect complement. It had a bold, tanginess keeping things interesting without overwhelming the palate. The homemade pita sealed the deal it was warm, soft, and sturdy enough to scoop generously without falling apart.
