I was given a recommendation to check this place out and I am so happy I did! The store has an…read moreamazing selection pretty much anything you could want. Definitely the best selection of retail firearms that I've ever seen. They also have nice items on consignment to look through. Prices are more than fair but the very best part about this place is the people. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Chad for helping me pick two of the nicest firearms that now are part of my collection and for being patient and taking the time to go through everything with me. Also, thank you to Josh and Kasey for being so welcoming, and also very helpful. Range is clean and very nice. Parking is easy and there's lots of it and the drive to the range is really beautiful. If you're in the area and you haven't been, this is a must go. 10/10 recommend!

Over the last year I've been to at least half a dozen shooting ranges and Appalachian Gun and Pawn…read morerange is by far the best. They have 5 pistol ranges (up to 25 yards) and 5 rifle ranges (up to 50 yards). Both inside and next to each other if you want to bring both. All ranges have state of the art computer driven touch pads that give you just about and condition you want to practice in. Very well maintained with plenty of lighting all the way down the range. It makes your visit much more enjoyable when the staff is friendly and helpful. Not to mention all the customers are willing to talk with you and share helpful tips. Also they have multiple target variations all are extremely reasonable. So after all this, the thing I like most is they are extremely safety conscious, as am I and the guys I shoot with. No goofing off, no breaking any safety rules or you will be immediately escorted out! They have plenty of cameras to ensure all are safe. We try and go about every other week when we're all in town. Always a safe fun experience. Now if I can just get rid of this low and to the left of the target problem I have, all will be good. Lol.

Gunsmoke is a 30 minute drive for me, but they are my go to choice. First, they are not like other…read moregun ranges that charge by the hour and their rate is also cheaper. Second, it is half price for folks over 55 years old every Tuesday and free for law enforcement. Third, the folks working there are great.

I started shooting at Gunsmoke about a year ago. Had lost my husband but found all the guns and…read morerifles he had left me. I had no idea about the handling of all of it. I found Gunsmoke and started going in there with a few guns every Thursday, as it is Ladies Day. We shoot for free, lane wise. Zack and Bill are the most knowledgeable men I have met regarding how to shoot each gun. They are extremely patient and educational. I have loved going each week with a new gun. Until the last few months!!!! The range is like being at HotWorx sauna. It was 91 degrees in there yesterday with one fan and no working air conditioner. This has been going on for a few months now. The owners have yet to do anything to repair/replace the AC. I have been spending between $50 and $100 a week on ammo etc. But yesterday it was sooo hot I bought a target...shot a few rounds and was sweating so bad I had to leave. I love the employees but seems the owner isn't that interested in taking care of the building or patrons. SOOOOO before you go to shoot, call for the range temperature.
