He was also patient with us because with traveling full time, sometimes we're unable to respond right away and he made sure he kept our spot for us! It was muddy, very very muddy! Fun, unique experience! While in Blue Ridge, we visited Tank Town USA to drive a tank and shoot their .30 caliber machine gun. The website displayed no openings so we emailed Todd to see if he could fit us in. He responded and reserved a spot for us during our requested date range. Todd is the ultimate host and photo expert! We celebrated a buddies 40th with destroying a Honda Civic and shooting the M1919 on 10/17/20. Tank Town USA is an absolute must if you're in town for a bachelor party/bachelorette party/birthday party/stress relief seminar. A one of a kind experience that I would readily do again, and plan to when I have the chance. If you're reading this review because you're unsure if its worth it, stop wondering. Its worth every cent. The long and short of it. 1. TANKS! We christened our ride Tanky McTankface and did laps around the track in groups of 3. Each person took a turn driving, riding in the back cabin, and sitting in the top bucket seat (all with lit cigars in mouth...... because that's how you roll with tanks). The tank maneuvers surprisingly well for such a large vehicle and tops out much faster than I would have expected. With a little mud available from the rain the night before, we had an awesome time hap handedly rolling through puddles, kicking up dirt and being all tank-y. Would definitely do again. 2. Excavation. After we left the tank we were directed to an excavator and a big hole. We proceeded to make the big hole even bigger in a variety of ways (digging, pushing, more digging). It wasn't anything I had really had any desire to do previously but was surprisingly interesting and fun. I would spend more time in that cabin if I had the chance. 3. Car Crushing. The final stage of our afternoon, we were presented with a less than mint condition Ford Explorer and a few cans of spray-paint. After some creativity and a whole bunch of inside jokes, as well as the date of our buddies wedding, the bachelor boarded Tanky McTankface and did a few laps, making sure to shatter every part of the poor truck. Needless to say the sound of a several ton tank rolling over pane glass is pretty satisfying. After the damage was done we were allowed to go to town on the remains with a sledge hammer. Who the hell needs a therapist? 4. Staff. It would be unfair for me to not mention the awesome guys running this place. They really went out of their way to make sure that we got the full experience we were looking for. I want to thank them for their infinite patience when showing us how to use the machinery as well as taking about a million photos. These guys know what they're doing, know what their guests are looking for, and helped provide an experience that we'll all remember for a long, long time. While we weren't wreaking havoc, we were provided with a couple chairs in a shaded truck with a fan to keep cool and watch our buddies have the time of their lives. I'm really glad we were able to have such an awesome experience and would highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be up the way of Blue Ridge. Overall Grade: A read more

Thirdly, the scenery nearby is beautiful. Pro tip: The person in the mounted chair on top has a fantastic view, so definitely get some video from up there, with a GoPro if possible. Todd is a really nice, really thoughtful guy and his job is making sure your experience is top notch. Got to pick out our victim and decorate. Both of us drove around and got used to the APC prior to the crush. It was quite intuitive and Todd was right there with you. Oldest child rode the suicide seat up on top and loved it. You get a commemorative t-shirt with each package which was a great bonus. We hired Sammy as photographer and he was right there in the action capturing it all for us. Made it alot easier so we could hang on. Great bucket list experience. I came, I saw, I crushed! there motto; you'll remember it forever because you will go home with a free t-shirt from them. YOU MUST CRUSH! don't waste your time just driving, the crush gives you 20 minutes of driving. MY EXPERIENCE; When I showed up todd (the owner) asked me to go to the lot and pick any car I wanted to crush, then along with videographer Sammy we began. Sammy understood what we were looking for and accommodated us fully. After driving the tank for 20 minutes, I crushed the Chevy Lumina and what an experience. Then I asked todd if I could further crush the lumina with excavator after already running over the car 10 times. Assuming there would be a cost, I asked how much? the answer surprisingly was have fun, that is a free experience for you! All in all this is a must do, don't cheap out or you will regret it. I am by no means a rich man but I flew from NY to Morganton for the sole purpose of crushing a car! and I left happier than ever! read more

Tank Town USA, a testosterone pumping, adrenaline rush of absolute must if you're in town for a bachelor party. This is completely unique experience that I would readily do again, and would highly recommend! Honestly beyond drive tank, crush car what else do you need to know. Seated on a huge lot, its a lot of dirt, mud and TANKS! Todd, a former Marine, was awesome with us and allowed us ample time to goof off considering it was a bachelor party! We all did the best we could with our hangovers to ride the tank and be stoked, honestly I was not stoked, I was afraid of the digestive pyrotechnics that might ensue, but as soon as the diesel fired up, that went away and it was straight out of the most patriotic rock and roll music video you have ever seen in your life. After taking a couple of laps around the track with 10 of us in tow, we realized that a tank will fly and is surprisingly agile over what I would call difficult terrain. we took a group picture then offloaded onto the ground to "decorate" the car we were going to obliterate with a tank. As if driving a tank at around 15 mph in mud flinging, American Glory wasn't enough, Car Crushing takes it to a new height! Upon disembarking from the tank, we were directed to gather around an older model Saturn coupe. Todd, handed us a few cans of spray paint, and a massive sledge hammer. This is when the Office Space scene with the fax machine should start to play in your head. After some creativity, drawings, inside fraternity stuff, and a whole bunch of inside jokes, we took a sledge hammer to that car and took to some much needed stress relief! As if that was enough, the absolutely devastating sound of steel crushing steel and the pancaking of a modern day sedan, was better than a great many other forms of stress relief! As with any successful business, we have to discuss the awesome people who work at Tank Town USA. Todd really knows what he's doing and moreover, knows what this clients are gonna want to do! The course looks short from the viewing area, but once you're actually moving it is sufficient size, especially since you go around twice. More than worth the money. Awesome adventure, came down to GA from NY for a few days after seeing an ad for Tank Town USA on the news. This was definitely the highlight of the trip. Just getting behind the tank driving it around the course was great, but crushing the car was a feeling like no other.
