Super convenient, super low hastle indoor range that can handle all manner of small arms. As a life-long crazy person, I was initially put off by the idea that first-time visitors need to pay a one-time fee for "instruction." My opinion on this fee changed for two reasons: 1) once it became clear that I wasn't an idiot/danger to myself or others, the friendly staff watched me for a minute and then left me alone; 2) I saw some of the amateurs who wander in and realized that initial instruction is preferable to trial-and-error performed by people born without commonsense. Par exemple, a few minutes after I arrived, OG came in with his ladyfriend on a ghetto date. His instincts for weapon handling were clearly honed by years of rap-videos because his initial move was to attempt to hold the (unloaded) handgun sideways while simultaneously groping his belt/groin area. The patient and watchful instructors, however, immediately (and pleasantly) corrected this and walked homeskillet through the ins and outs of safe firearm handling. This probably diminshed his street cred in front of his date, but I greatly appreciated it. read more

Not the best experience at this place. They charge a $10 hidden fee to new customers that was only told to me when I was presented with the bill. I would prefer to be told first to let me decide if I want to shoot or not given all the information. Two of my 10/22 mags were stolen by the members next to me. I can not blame that on The Gun Range but it effected my experience there. On the positive side. The staff was pretty pleasant in general. Just doubt if I will ever return. read more

Such a horrible experience! We were told to go at seven and when we get there the front desk guy was completely rude and told us to "try" again tomorrow! When we explained that we were told to come at 7 he interrupted us and said "like I said" you can try and come back tomorrow ! He needs some customer service training ! read more

Came here to get a few rounds in! They don't have too much variety in terms of firearms. Reservations are necessary if you have a larger group, but you'll probably be able to just call in to check if lanes are open before heading over for just one or two people. You pay a fee to use a lane, a fee to rent a gun, a fee for your ear and eye protection, and a fee for your paper target. Oh, and a fee for the ammo of course. Overall, it cost about 70 dollars per person including all of the above (one box of ammo). The lanes aren't high tech or anything, but all of the necessities are available. Yuri, the owner, is great. He really likes to help and share what he knows about guns and shooting in general. The staff there is all helpful and walk around the range to help, correct, and answer any questions. The space feels really safe - cameras throughout and you need to get buzzed in to enter. The staff takes down all IDs when people come, even if you've been before and have your permit. read more

I used to stop in here on occasion back when the range was part of Colissmo's as a buddy knew one of the rangemasters. Since Yuri reopened it they have improved the backstops so you can fire non-frangible rifle rounds and the place is in general cleaner and better lit not to mention at least a partial renovation and as another reviewer mentioned, nice clean bathrooms! Yuri is a very friendly character and we had a pleasant discussion on lubricants after noticing his NOT-Froglube on the counter. The lanes have decent lighting, the target returns can be a bit finicky but a moment of reason and common sense is about all it takes if they do goof up. As it's an indoor range it is limited to 25 yards but they do have a guide posted on how to set the AR family's 40 yard zero on the 25 yard range and if asked I have little doubt the range staff would have any problem helping you sight in. My friends and I have been there about twice each so far and it's never been crowded, always enough open lanes and a pleasant mix of shooters. It's also nice that they have a cooler of bottled water available for cheap, after a couple hours the taste of cordite tends to stick in the back of your throat. They haven't turned me off of any other ranges like TFL or SPAG, they've just added themselves as a good option for affordable shooting in the city. Range is pretty standard for indoor range. Not the most high tech, but I need nothing more than a lane with a target backer. Service is where I had the issues. First time I went, the owner (presumably) was nice and friendly, but some kid behind the counter had a napoleon complex the three other times, in three week, I went to help a friend learn how to properly shoot. I'm not opposed to this range as it's much less busy that other indoor ranges in the city, but I gladly spent 3x the price for a yearly membership at Philadelphia Archery and Gun (Philadelphia Training Academy) to not get a crummy attitude from some counter kid upon arrival. I hope some basic customer service issues get ironed out here, as again, I thought the main guy was more than accommodating the first time I went and fear his little minions are chasing away business, as he did. read more

I just left the range. I was treated with a warm welcome from a gentleman that was behind the counter. He gave me a waiver to fill out. In the middle of filling out the waiver, I'm interrupted by a the lady behind the counter asking me have I shot here before...(I'm filling out the waiver...) I say now she walks off the the gentleman that greeted me and starts whispering something. As I finish the waiver she comes back and ask me what do I need. ( eye,ears,target) I tell her I have my own, I just need ammo. She says the box of 50 is 20 and a bag of 100 is thirty. I jump on that bag deal. I tell her I want 2 bags. She Rings me up and it tells me 120 bucks. Wait.....What?? Then she tells me about I have to pay to go through a qualify to shoot at there range.....What?? So I have to pay $25 on top of me paying to rent a lane??? I decided I would go somewhere else and practice. so I asked could I have my waiver back because my information was on it. "NO!!" Wow! Things can escalate quickly, I try my best to not put myself in any bad situation so I gathered my thing and left. I know for a fact I will never come back to this place. Loved it! Hassle free fun. Living in NYC you don't get to do this everyday so we didn't know what to expect. We drove in, parked right in front and walked in. The staff is very knowledgable. The girl who was taking care of us saw that we are not every day users and recommended a .22 caliber handgun to start with. In a couple of minutes we filled out all the forms and received the equipment and proceeded to the shooting range where our instructor was waiting. Without waisting time with long and boring lectures, our instructor took us in a huddle and gave us a crash course in using guns and rules of the gun range. After we all got familiar with our gun, we hung our target and went to work. My wife was nervous about shooting a gun for the first time but the instructor was very patient and stayed by her side for the first couple of shots. After she got comfortable he went about his business but always kept a watchful eye in case we needed anything or had any questions. The .22 pistol we got was constantly misfiring and I had to stop and eject the magazine and the misfired bullet. I think the firing pin was worn out. Maybe a little newer guns would be nice. After the .22 I also rented a 9mm Glock19 and 50 rounds and successfully went through them in the next 5 minutes without a single glitch. I will definitely come back. You can rent anything from small .22 to a 12 gage shot gun or a fully automatic assault rifle. Plenty of things to try for next time. read more

Went there today with my wife for her birthday and could not have been more pleased with the experience. We spent about 2.5 hours total the gun range. The first 30 min was a safety lesson which was very informative and necessary because with are both novice shooters. Once we got to our lane there was another older gentlemen who went above and beyond to help my wife get comfortable which gave us the confidence we both needed. Today I bough a Groupon "All day package for Two" , I went and I had a great experience until I met Andrew one of your employees, what a terrible customer service was provided from him, me and my friend went in there for our first time and we were going to sign for the membership after trying the big guns, we decided to step out have a snack and then come back, that's when the worst came, Andrew received us with a "Why you guys came back" immediately my face changed and I realized this was not going nowhere I decided just to let the crew know how bad he was and then we left. Really good shooting range and I know Yuri and he is willing to help you with whatever you need and very knowledgable. If you are planning to rent a gun they carry AK, AR, they have a Tavor also that I recommend shooting because its a really cool gun (5.56). They have the obvious revolvers and shotgun you can rent. I just put 200 rds through my duty weapon and I'm sure ill be back soon. I would recommend bringing your own ammo because they are low in stock just like every other gun store is which is normal. You can only by practice ammo, they don't sell hollow points anymore read more

The shooting itself was awesome but we had some issues before hand. We purchased the Groupon online to go shooting. We showed up 1.5 hours before closing and they told us we couldn't do it within that time frame. Which was fine but it was not on the fine print and the Groupon was only for an hour. Anyways, I called a couple days later and that's when Yuri told me that and he apologized.He told me to ask for him when we went the next day. So when we got there, a women was working the front and she was rather rude to us. Yuri had told me to ask for him and she basically blew me off and sent us to the range. She was pushy. The instructor was the only good part about this trip otherwise it would of only been a one star. We will proly never go back there. read more

Four stars for the range itself and five for the employees. I would give even more for the owner, Yuri. I found the range to be well ventilated and at a comfortable temperature. It was clean and there were no tripping hazards like at some local ranges. The counter guys and RSO were all pleasant. No one had a gun commando attitude. I am not often talked down to anywhere and today was no exception. They like all guns not being used to have their actions locked open. I forgot a couple times and when reminded it was in a polite way. The cost is great compared to any other range in Philly. I paid $57 for two guys and 5 targets. We were there a little over an hour but there is no time limit so we could have stayed for longer. We were in a long gun lane as I was shooting my SKS and shotguns as well as several handguns. Yuri noticed me loading my rifle one round at a time and surprised with with a gift of about ten top quality stripper clips. I have only been in his range a handful of times and he probably does not even remember my face but he did me a nicety because he honestly seem to like doing nice things for people. I have seen or heard of him doing similar things many times. You can bring your own ammo and that makes a big difference in cost. On the other hand they sell their ammo at a relatively great price. read more

Came here for a bachelor party and Yuri couldn't have been more helpful! There were 10 of us put into 3 stalls. They set us up with all the ammo we needed and let us go at it. Then Yuri came around after dealing with all the other customers who arrived at the same time as us, and started showing the more inexperienced shooters how to properly stand, and hold/shoot each gun. Took my brother for his 21st birthday, extremely excellent, helpful staff. Not the typical feel you get at a gun range. After going up the imposing steps and being buzzed in, you're greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Gun rentals, daily lane fees and targets are super cheap and well worth it. They get you on the ammo prices, but that's ok, it's worth shelling out a hundred for a great, fun filled afternoon. Well - lit lanes with perfect spacing and clean bathrooms are a plus. I wish they had more guns to rent out, but it's now an incentive to bring my own piece. read more

This is as good as it gets in the philly region. Prices are good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Range is modern although could use better ventilation. If you shoot a lot I would recommend a breathing mask to filter out the particles. read more

Awesome range! My girlfriend and I went up to shoot my ar15 midday on a friday. There was only two other groups shooting within the three hours we were there. It was nice compared to other places which are so crowded you have to wait for a lane or timed and rushed out. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They have separate pistol and rifle range. It can be a bit costly your first time going considering they charge you for the initial training regardless of your experience and paying for the lanes per person. I would definitely recommend and will be going again myself and don't think it will cost as much only having to pay for the lane this time. I will keep posted read more

Very hit and miss.... I have worked at indoor ranges as an Instructor and have a strong background in firearms (25+ years) , yet the staff treated me as if I was a noob. Talked down to me, even after I explained my background as well as demonstrated my knowledge base. (The fact that they, and I believe the owner Yuri was one of them, were simply incorrect in the facts they were stating to customers bothered me) When on the range, I felt as if the staff was looking for a reason to kick people out. I applaud ranges that push safety, but they were crossing the line to the point of causing more harm than good to the shooters there and the Staff also picked who to reprimand/council on safety. I witnessed at least 3 blatant Range Safety Violations that took place in front of Yuri that were not addressed while two minor infractions brought the wrath of God down. I believe that there may be an issue with the ventilation system. The air did not clear nearly as quickly as it should if the system was working properly. I mentioned it to the staff and was blown off. At times I felt like I was in a musket line with Washington fighting the British there was so much smoke. If you are a regular there, or staff, I would go get a lead check (you should anyway and as staff it should be a requirement). No access to Lead Wipes, and nor did I hear anyone recommend to any customers that they should wash hands etc after shooting or before eating. As a member of the Firearms Training Industry, I do not write frivolous reviews. I do not like saying negative comments concerning members of this fraternity, but here I felt the need to. read more

Nice range with friendly staff. Facility itself is pretty ordinary. Location is very convenient, but not that nice of an area. Prices for the range aren't great ($20/day and $10 Range Safety Badge for first timers). Prices for ammo are also pretty bad, so I recommend buying your own ammo and bringing it. BEWARE, this place is running a scam. If you check reviews here and on Google you'll find other folks have had similar experiences. My second time here, the big/tall guy rangemaster instructed my friend to change his grip to one that is less safe/secure and give him more recoil. Afterwards, he said that because of his initial grip he wouldn't get a safety card and needed to attend (and pay for) a safety class. So this is how the scam works. Which is bad enough, but it's also completely irresponsible that their rangemasters are instructing people to shoot in unsafe ways, and telling them they aren't safe when they are. I always enjoy shooting at the Gun Range. I am usually there on Saturdays and there are always friendly people there. The range is clean, especially the bathrooms (which is a plus) and the people are experienced. Yuri and Justin are always willing to assist you with any difficulties or questions.
