I've been 3 times now. First was great looked good everyone was nice. Last two times people seem annoyed with my stylist idk but after leaving get home to notice bits of hair that need cutting. I have to fix my haircut in my bathroom mirror. If you go here make sure to mess your hair up and fix with your fingers to see the imperfections! Then proceeded to tell him that her husband liked her long nails (without asking her anything- my husband is not a talker) but that she didn't like when he himself had longer nails than usual especially when he puts them inside her places..... when the haircut was over and he was paying with her. We had a great experience!!! The stylist fixed my kid's hair after another hair place gave him a "pixie cut". The stylist explained each step to my child to help him feel more comfortable. If a rating for zero stars were an option, this is what I would rate for our attempted visit. I made appointments for family nearly a week in advance. Received confirmation emails, texts, and even a reminder email 2 hours prior to the appointments. Arrived to the place a few minutes before our first appointment and were told there was no appointment in the system. In showing the appointment confirmations summarizing the date, time, and location - representatives acknowledged, but said they did not see anything on their side. And when we asked if they could work us in, made absolutely zero effort. Essentially said without an "appointment" there was nothing they could do. When trying to get a manager or Owner's information, I was told to leave a review. For the owner, I am not sure what issues there were with the scheduling system, but I am happy to show screen shots of emails and text confirmations. Customer service from the staff member that served us was poor at best. Two main issues: 1) In our previous appointment (which was our first time at your place) we asked if we could make an appointment for a follow up visit and were told No, to schedule online. 2) Staff at todays visit did not lift a finger to try and make the situation right. We immediately went to Lady Jane's (first time there as well) who were able to serve us immediately and a high quality of service for all that needed a haircut. read more

Just recently moved to the area and trying to find my new trusted barber. I noticed the Yelp reviews prior to coming here, noticed they were a bit outdated, so I figure I give it a shot. I showed up with no appointment and was informed it would be a 45 minute wait, so I figure I go take care of some errands and come back - big benefit, it's in a convenient location. I came back at my scheduled time and I was seen a few minutes early - bonus. The barber who cut my hair didn't do such a great job though, I told him 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the top depending on what he thought needed to be cut. Sides look great, but the top was left pretty much untouched and fairly uneven. Luckily I style my hair so it won't be noticed, but $28 total with tip... not even remotely worth it to me. They do a good job w haircuts, but we had an appt and they texted a couple hours before to say our stylist didn't make it in to work, so WE had to call them to make a new appt. We're like, "We have a stylist? We didn't ask for a certain stylist." Then my husband gets a text at 1:30 to hurry up and get there bc they can "squeeze us in" in 15 minutes! I would recommend not going to this guys place as they will waste your time and obviously seem to not care about customer satisfaction nor simply respecting their customers. Had an appointment scheduled for 10:00am on 7/21/21. Got a call at 9:47 asking if I would mind having my appointment pushed to 10:30; I said that was fine. I checked in at 10:26 and sat in the lobby for another 20 minutes without any employees saying anything to me. At 10:50 I went up to the front desk and stood there for another 6 minutes before any employee came to the front desk. When I explained how long I'd been waiting the lady rudely said the earliest they could cut my hair would now be 11:30; so I told them to just cancel my appointment. They gave no apologies for wasting my time nor did they seem to care at all. read more

We're staying with my mom in Fuquay while we wait to close on a house in Pittsboro, and my husband was in dire need of a trim. He's not fussy, so he was trying to find a sports clips around, but The Guys' Place was even closer. He came back looking awesome (SC always makes the back of his head a little "tufty") and the price was exceptionally good. So this morning, we took our five-year-old son there. He happily marched off with his stylist after he requested "a two all over please." I checked on him a few minutes later and he was getting his hair washed and his little shoulders massaged, which made me smile. I know he liked being treated like a grown up. Well, I was looking at my 8 month old and asked the other stylists they cut babies' hair. "Sure! Bring him back!" And within a few minutes, the baby was sitting patiently while the stylist cleaned up the hair around his ears and the nape of his neck. He looks so handsome! The ONLY "con" would be that they have peanuts. Our older son is allergic, but he didn't touch any, so it was not a big issue. If you have severe allergies, though, maybe the presence of peanuts might be a problem. read more

I just moved my family down here from NY in July so we had to find a new barber for my son and I. Our first barber in NY was amazing until he changed careers. Had a terrible experience shortly after making my 3 year old son terrified of barbers until we met Q here at the guys place. Friendly staff greeted us at the door, Q was more focused on making good acquaintance before starting. We hit a rough patch during the haircut but once we got over it, my son was content. Q was very patient with my son and I while we got through his tantrum. Needless to say we've got a new barber. read more

I was a 6 minutes for my appointment (I come from far away) and they straight up turned me away with no signs of sympathy, accommodation, or care because of their 5 min late policy. My husband doesn't do reviews, so he asked me to write one on his behalf. The haircut looked great, and his stylist did a good job. The atmosphere was underwhelming. They have TV's you can watch, but you can't turn the channel, and my husband doesn't care about soccer. He said the shampoo and warm towel were nothing to write home about. Based on what the website says, it seems as if you would be pampered more than what you actually get. He will try a different establishment to see if his experience is any better. That being said. The Guy Place does not screen their stylists well and I would not roll the dice to let just any one of the stylists on duty cut my hair. Clean place. Walked right in, apparently lucked into a no-wait haircut. Appointments are probably recommended. It's clean. They're friendly. They give you a hot towel facial, hair cut, and even wash your hair so you're not walking around itchy the rest of the day. Today was my first visit to the store. I was very pleased with my haircut, friendliness of the staff and layout of the area but I did have a few issues. I had a scheduled appointment as recommended by the staff but it started 15 minutes late. I was also looking forward to having my ears and brows trimmed. The service felt rushed towards the end. Only my ears were taken care of and only because I asked for it...I thought it was supposed to be included. Revisited this store due to the proximity of my house. I was a fan of this place until recently. The last 2 times I've been in, I was skipped over. AND, I had an appointment both times (and was on-time for both)! Once, one of the stylists actually got into an argument with the receptionist, IN the waiting area, in full view and earshot as to whether not she was going to take me. I felt like the last kid picked at a kickball game! It's really as if your time means nothing to them. After being passed over on my 2nd consecutive visit, I left, and IF I ever go back, it'll be a really long time! Pass this place by, guys. Not worth the headache. I have yet to receive a bad experience at this location and I have been going there since they opened. I used to go to the Cary location, which is also ok, but I find this store is operated in a much smoother fashion, always clean, and the stylists are a lot more consistent with their cuts. You can tell it's a tight run ship and it shows from when you walk in the door from a greeting to very well estimated wait times. The store manager (I believe Angela) is very experienced and manages to keep everything in line and carries products that I like purchasing that other stores do not necessarily carry. Also, the folks working there make my four year old boy feel very comfortable which means a lot to me. He is always excited to go there and get a haircut from anybody which is surprising to me. I always feel like i'm getting a great deal when I go there because I get the best haircut at the best price. I would 'pop in' to the other stores and they were starting to get relatively busy and some of the stylists would say "are you really sure you want your hair washed?" or they would just skip the massage altogether. I am sure it's because they were busy but they do it like you're feeling guilty if you say yes. I have never had this experience at this store and will continue to go there from here on in. I'm not a big review writer, but I felt it was necessary because as a man, it's terribly hard to get a decent haircut at a decent price with consistency anywhere in the triangle. read more

Not bad. Not great. The cut was what I asked for. But the overall experience was just average. The wash/shampoo sinks at the booths are nice. But the ridiculous mechanical massage was more unnerving than relaxing. It's very loud. The greeting upon entry was a little snarky and they seemed irritated that I was a walk-in. The Walmart parking lot is located in is kind of congested and isn't easy to navigate. read more
