Last month I worked with Claudia to capture a surprise engagement for my fiance. As you can imagine, I was extremely nervous not only to propose but also to make sure the pictures captured the moment. We shared a list of places we wanted to be photographed in and Doru not only created the perfect itinerary, he arrived early and scouted the locations prior to meeting us on our wedding day. The H Wedding Photography is the BEST wedding photographers out there. Claudia and her crew were amazing. From our engagement pictures to our wedding pictures she was so much fun to work with and she helped us create amazingly gorgeous pictures! We decided we wanted to incorporate sparklers and color fog bombs for our engagement photo shoot and Claudia found a way to use our ideas and helped create really beautiful pictures. We loved how we just showed up with these sparklers and Claudia was like awesome lets see what we can do. She also helped us pick a beautiful location for the photo shoot and she was so much fun to work with. Then for our wedding photography Claudia was so amazing because she was able to show up on time, find my sister for any questions, let me enjoy the day and without any direction at all she captured the most important moments of our wedding day! She worked really well with our videographer and it felt like they were all one big team. I decided not to do photos before the ceremony and so we had our photo shoot after the ceremony. Well at that point in the day I was so tired all I wanted to do was take a nap before the reception. Claudia steered me away from a nap and gave me direction as to how to pose and how to twirl with my veil and I was so tired I was sure I would look a mess in the pictures but Claudia captured me looking vibrant and ready to party! I recommend taking ALL of Claudia's suggestions because no matter how tired you are or if you feel strange in one of the poses they turn out gorgeous and you will be so happy you took direction from Claudia :) Honestly all my friends and family love every picture and I am so happy we found Claudia! Doru was such an amazing photographer!!! My husband and I were shopping around for wedding photographers for a while before chancing upon his studio. From the start, Doru was very patient and very receptive to our needs. We did an engagement photoshoot with him, and the results were amazing - he was very prescriptive in his instructions on how to pose and what to do for various shoots (which we needed) and also managed to incorporate many of our ideas into the album. On the wedding day, he managed to captured many candid and posed pictures of all the guests and most importantly the family members that we wanted to capture most pictures of. We did have terrible weather that day (thanks Chicago), but that did not stop us from capturing many wonderful indoor photos. Doru is absolutely fantastic!  Listen I am very picky when it comes to photos.  I literally spent weeks reading reviews and looking through different photographers websites & portfolios before making my decision.  Most wedding photography I came across was boring, run of the mill with zero inspiration or character and they had exorbitant fees.  I was looking for something funky, edgy and full of life to tell our story.  I am so glad I found Hphotography they have a journalistic style that is very artistic and candid. They will customize a package especially for you depending on what you want and their prices are beyond reasonable!  Seriously they could easily charge double for their quality of work!  So trust me I have done the research for you, look no further and hope they are available for your big day, if so you better book ASAP!  All of our photos turned out amazing, we have gotten tons of compliments.  We had so much fun taking our engagement photos.  Doru is wonderful to work with, he makes you feel comfortable and coaches you thru the whole process.  You will basically feel like a model for the day doing a fancy magazine shoot, bonus!  We also had a great time taking our day of wedding city shots.  We were laughing and dancing, my whole wedding party had a blast taking photos.  There were several other wedding parties in the same area all trying to get similar background shots.  Doru wasted no time, he jumped right in, organized us where we needed to be, got the shots and moved us on to more locations all while the same wedding parties were still milling around.  Doru is a true professional and he is on top of it at all times!  He is 100% focused on you and will go the extra mile to get the perfect shot, this is the type of photographer you want for your wedding!  Outside of our city and formal pictures Doru and his assistant were like ninjas.  I didn't even notice them much at all during the getting ready portion and I barely remember seeing them at our ceremony and reception, yet we ended up with over 1500 fabulous pictures.  We had them choose our photos for our album and our design and layout look amazing!  And ladies make sure you add on a trash the dress photo shoot!  I knew I wanted this before I found Doru and it was just icing on the cake that he had experience and examples of his work on his site.  During my research I spoke with some photographers that had never even done this style of photography.  So you are in great hands with Hphoto!  And don't worry you won't actually ruin your dress in the process.  But you will get great fashion/glamour style photography that will contrast your beautiful dress in an unusual environment of your choice.  I'm looking forward to my trash the dress shoot that we have postponed until warmer weather and will most likely be some type of water or beach setting.  We would recommend Doru to anyone we know and we will definitely use them again for any future photo needs! read more

We are so pleased with our choice in hiring H Photography both for our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. Throughout the entire process Doru and Claudia were amazing. The communication leading up to the photo sessions was always timely and concise. Doru even brought it to my attention that the location I wanted to take photos at, needed a permit and he took care of the application and made the whole process really easy on me. During both photo sessions they were very professional and did whatever it took to get a great shot. They made sure to get a variety of great pictures from many angles. Working with Doru and The H Photography was the absoloute best decision we could have made. My fiancé had one reuqest while wedding planning and that was that we hire Doru as our photographer. He had work with him before in weddings where he was a best man so he knew that not only would the quality of the pictures be amazing, but that Doru could wrangle a group together. He was able to give clear instruction on poses that other photographers we've worked with had over looked (for example, guys put your hands in your pockets not just dangling by your sides!). We did our engagement photos and I understood exactly what he meant. Like most couples, we aren't often the center of attention for an entire hour of staged and candid photos- but Doru made us feel comfortable and helped us embrace the awkwardness which lead to photos that really show the love and happiness we felt. When COVID-19 happened and everything was closing and being postponed- we agreed: we're keeping Doru and The H Photography contract. We were lucky enough to be able to have our wedding, and Doru was there. Every single person who came to celebrate with us, has shared how much THEY enjoyed Doru.
