I came in for foils on my hair, and while my stylist was very nice, I was honestly shocked by the final cost and additional charges. What I anticipated would cost around $125 ended up being: * Partial Foil (11-30 foils) - New Guest: $110 * Extra Color Mix (1/2 oz): $10 * Women's Haircut: $49 * Color Between Foils: $55 Subtotal: $224, plus tip. My main concern was not just the price itself, but the lack of communication about the additional charges beforehand. I contacted the owner, Kaylie, to discuss my concerns. One issue was being charged an extra $10 because the amount of color originally allocated was apparently not enough for my shoulder-length hair. I was told the product is expensive. I was also surprised by the $49 haircut charge. Only about an inch was trimmed from the back of my hair, and it was a very minimal trim. I understand salons have set pricing structures, but I did not feel the service reflected that cost. Additionally, I was charged $55 for "color between foils," which was essentially root color. Again, this was never clearly explained to me in advance. When I spoke with Kaylie, she acknowledged that the stylist should have gone over all pricing and explained that their services are priced à la carte. However, that was essentially the end of the conversation. There was no effort to resolve the situation or offer any adjustment despite acknowledging the lack of communication on their part. I have never been to a salon where I felt so nickel-and-dimed without prior explanation or consent regarding added costs. I fully expected to pay extra for a trim, but not $49 for what felt like a very minor service. Unfortunately, I left feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority. Had the situation been handled differently, this review could have been very different. If you decide to visit this salon, I strongly recommend asking for a full breakdown of all charges beforehand so there are no surprises when you check out. Booked an appointment with a level 4 stylist. She had a trainee working with her on my hair-without asking if I was ok with that. Charged extra for everything but did not mention that the things she was doing would have a charge. Example: 2 spritz of something for "just in case" mineral build up 20$. Toner that I did not want 20$ and more bleach for a couple foils 15$. I have thin fine shoulder length hair and absolutely should not be charged extra for a bit more bleach. Never in my whole life of hair appointments has anyone ever done that. Hairstyling pricing is way out of control. Dropped 250$ on this visit and will not be back and will not recommend. It was freezing in there and the lack of ambiance takes the whole experience down even more. There are 3 of us that were going to try this salon and I was the first of us to go. I have been back to this salon three times, just trying to get my hair blonde again. They charged me $170(?) the first time and another $100 each time I went back, even though I repeatedly told her I want my hair to be blonde. Each time, I have walked out with brown hair. I don't understand the problem. The last time I went in, another woman was getting her hair re-colored and they charged her $100 also. I'm giving up. I can't afford them anymore. read more

We had a wonderful experience at The Hair Company and would recommend it highly to anyone! We were new to town and looking for a place that we could get a hair cut for our 3-year old. It was just his second cut in a salon, so we wanted to make sure it was with someone who has experience with cutting kids' hair and would help him be comfortable and feel safe. We found it with Lindsay! She greeted us at the door with a huge smile, got down to our little guy's level, and made an immediate connection. She was confident with what we wanted (I brought a couple of pictures for visuals) and did a great job! She also consulted with another stylist when she wasn't 100% sure, which was nice instead of just plowing through without a check-in. Our son was calm and patient through the entire cut - which I'm attributing partly to Lindsay's calm demeanor and kindness. I asked our son afterward if he had a fun time, if he felt safe, and if he liked her. He said, "yep" to everything. We will most certainly be back! read more

Knew before I went a haircut would be 44.00. Saw Tiffany and explained I needed something short and better than how my hair was then. I did not get a shampoo as I told her I had shampooed that morning. She dry cut the back of my hair and gave me the mirror to see what I thought. I told her she could go a little shorter. She did and again gave me the mirror to check. When I said that was fine, she whipped off the sheet and said Good! She walked away. I was thinking she was going to finish and do the sides of my hair but no. She was done. I was in shock. The cost? 44.00 for a half-a55 job. I am ashamed to say I left a small tip. Got a friend to fix my hair for free. She felt sorry for me. My hair really looks cute! My tip to you? Avoid! read more

Do you feel the same sense of anxiety that I do when trying to find a new hair stylist? I dread it! Searching online is like rolling the dice: Hit - or - MISS ... And I won't know if I made a bad choice until it is TOO LATE! We are new to the area and I need to find someone to help me with my 55 year old hair problem: My overgrown and shapeless dull mouse brown hair is fine (aka limp to those of you with full thick or curly hair) but also full of unruly individual silver strands of kinked, curly or short broken stubs going in every direction. (Remember the kid who rubbed their hair with a balloon and the static electricity made wispy hairs stick straight out away from their head) Without the benefit of a professional haircut in over 2 years, my neglected mess was eternally restrained in a ponytail. So I called The Hair Company and booked an appointment. Kayla Bradly was available the next day at 9:30am. As soon as I sat down in her chair I was at ease. She greeted me warmly and and asked me about what my goals were. As she touched my hair she nodded in agreement about my description of the "fine texture" and lack of body. She told me she has fine hair, and her Mom. Epiphany! Why haven't I been shopping hair stylists based on what type of hair they have? You know they understand the problems, know what works...and what doesn't. She removed the heavy length in back and shaped a lovely reverse angled "bob" (linger in front) and my hair instantly sprung to life. Next was a color technique called "Balayage" which means "to paint" or "to sweep" in French and the process is also called "hair painting." It is a freehand method of adding highlights to hair that will add dimension, showcase a haircut, and look very natural. It's almost as if you spent time in the sun, without the damaging UV rays. When all was dry and styled, my cut and color surpassed ANY hopes or expectations I had for how my hair would look at the end of the appointment. I can confidently say this is the best haircut and color that I have EVER received. It was fun, current, perfectly suited to my hair type and skin color. I was PRETTY after years of being dull mouse brown with the wrong cuts. I left with a smile and a bounce in my step. It has been a couple weeks now and I still love my new hair every time I look or catch a glimpse myself in a mirror. The sweetest thank you card arrived a few days after my appointment expressing how much fun she had helping me create my new look, and thanking me for trusting her with my hair. WOW! After 2 questionable haircuts at other salons, I found Natasha! She listened and took the time to listen to what I wanted and even look up pictures.
