I explained to the lady I wanted to go from medium to short length and it was very important to me to get a knowledgeable person in curly hair and I was told they knew how to cut curly hair. I got an appointment for the next day. I showed up a little earlier and was welcomed by a friendly and nice lady. I was soon called to the chair and I explained what I wanted. She repeated exactly what I said and I thought: " ok, she got it". I wanted to go from medium length to short. Wanted something cute, with form AND NO STRAIGHT LINE. Here is where the 2 missing stars got lost. She did exactly what I said I didn't want. She made a straight line on the back ....‍ I decided to give it a try for a few days but it is just not what I wanted. Now, I got to go to another salon to get form and get rid of the straight line haircut. To give you an idea right now my hair look like mushroom. Fluffy on top with that horrible straight line on the bottom. I know I can't get my hair back but it will be nice to at least get my money back

My main concern was not just the price itself, but the lack of communication about the additional charges beforehand. I contacted the owner, Kaylie, to discuss my concerns. One issue was being charged an extra $10 because the amount of color originally allocated was apparently not enough for my shoulder-length hair. I was told the product is expensive. I was also surprised by the $49 haircut charge. Only about an inch was trimmed from the back of my hair, and it was a very minimal trim. I understand salons have set pricing structures, but I did not feel the service reflected that cost. Additionally, I was charged $55 for "color between foils," which was essentially root color. Again, this was never clearly explained to me in advance. When I spoke with Kaylie, she acknowledged that the stylist should have gone over all pricing and explained that their services are priced à la carte. However, that was essentially the end of the conversation. There was no effort to resolve the situation or offer any adjustment despite acknowledging the lack of communication on their part. I have never been to a salon where I felt so nickel-and-dimed without prior explanation or consent regarding added costs. I fully expected to pay extra for a trim, but not $49 for what felt like a very minor service. Unfortunately, I left feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority. Had the situation been handled differently, this review could have been very different. If you decide to visit this salon, I strongly recommend asking for a full breakdown of all charges beforehand so there are no surprises when you check out. Also check other YELP reviews, I wish I had as others have had the same experience.

When I walked in there the place was very clean, spacious and designed well. I noticed another stylist that was doing a very nice job with coloring another client hair. My stylist was very friendly and punctual with my haircut and styling appointment. She really knew about cutting hair and she styled and cut mine that was fabulous and flattering for me!!
