She added highlights instead of the all-over color I thought I needed because it got the job done and would require less maintenance, and was able to find the perfect shape and style of my hair beyond the hatchet job I'd gotten previously. All I wanted was some semblance of normal, and she gave me perfection! I may have floated out of the salon! Lavish was super easy to find, very modern and comfortable. They gave an amazing scalp massage as part of my wash and they really took their time in every step of the process. They make a girl feel actually special when she's just going to get her hair cut! On top of the great experience itself, I really LOVE my haircut (thanks to Brianna!). I also really appreciated that they didn't try to sell me any products at checkout, but they did such a great job that I had to have what they were using! And as small as it sounds, they even put the product in a gift bag instead of just handing it to me over the counter. I'd have never thought anything of it, but those little touches add up! Abby and Mandy have been our stylists (Abby being mine, Mandy being my Mom's) and they've always impressed. Haircuts are always a fair price, and soon I plan on getting something more expensive done! I always prefer to feel places out (I've had to cheat on my stylists because I've been moving around) before getting expensive hair cuts done, but I have NO such reservations here. Even after my years long break, they are fantastic. You cannot go wrong here, I promise you. I was being charged more for worse haircuts other places than here - really cannot sing their praises enough!!

My aunt went here based on a recommendation. Her stylist was Meg Dudley. At the beginning of the…read moreappointment, during the consultation, my aunt Darlene, showed the stylist the color she wanted and then the cut style. At the beginning, Darlene felt that Meg did not understand. She should have stopped there! But meg insisted she new what she wanted. Fast forward 2 hours, Darlene was presented her new cut and color. It was NOT what was discussed or agreed too. Now, my aunt is old school and refused to pay. The police where called. My aunt stayed in the parking lot to wait for police. Once police arrived the matter was settled and my aunt paid the bill. Now, for the dirty details. First, when my aunt paid, Meg, inflated the prices originally quoted. She took it upon herself to put a tip into the price. A very nice tip, mind you for a cut and color she knew the customer was not happy with! Now for the cut, it is a hot mess! I have pictures attached for how messed up the cut is! One side is clearly completely off in angle and no symmetry what so ever!!! Also, the length is way more than what was discussed. Meg cut a good 3 inches off. Now for The color, I personally like the color job she did. However, it is not the depth of color my aunt wanted. She wanted visible color variation of platinum blond and browns. As you can see in the pic it is not a dramatic color variation at all. All in all, Meg did not listen to her client! She was combative and defensive! She obviously has had issues with clients before. I would not recommend this stylist or salon. They have no respect for there clients well being. They have no respect for the profession they chose. Don't be a stylist if you can't deal with the clients!

I would have totally understood if they needed to reschedule. My hair was so thirsty and dry! I purchased a Groupon for a hair cut, style and your choice of a treatment. I went with the moisture treatment obviously because I really needed it! All of this for only $20! You can't beat that price! Since this is the Paul Mitchell School, students will be cutting and styling your hair. They have teachers there to keep an eye on them. The teachers will sign off before the student begins to make sure everyone is on the same page. I remember signing a waiver as well. The student who was assigned to me was fantastic! Her name is Jessica. She was sweet, friendly, patient and a perfectionist. She really took her time on my hair which I really appreciate! I was there for 3 hours. But I also have A LOT of hair. And the moisture treatment took over 30 mins. Jessica was such a joy!! She will make an awesome stylist!! I wasn't able to tip the student on the bill but you can bring cash. I was there so long so I inadvertently forgot to give her a tip! I feel terrible! But we exchanged numbers so I will be giving her a tip next time I see her. There was another stylist with red hair that was very friendly too. I don't remember her name though. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! I have super thin hair so I don't think it should've taken that long and I wish the instructors stepped in to help knowing that it was taking a very long time. My hair was done very choppy and each instructor said it was okay... when it wasn't. Only Mr. Jones stopped and really talked with me which I appreciated. I went to Ulta to get it fixed right after.
