I called early in the A.M. to confirm if they accepted walk ins, which they do. I arrived around 4:30 pm and was promptly asked what I wanted done. After telling the nice young lady I wanted a roller set and no iron I was led to the wash area where I was shampooed and treated with a deep conditioner. I love people playing with my hair so I found the process relaxing and actually fast. I was then led to the dryer where I sat for 10-15 minutes with the deep conditioner. I then was rinsed and the magic began. Steffi asked me if I wanted a straight blowout or a roller set to which I told her I wanted the latter sans iron and full of body and movement. She got to work right away and with her magic super fast rolling I was all set in a matter of minutes. I looked in the mirror and I swear all I could think of was my nana when she used to rock the rollers on the weekend, ha! But girls, this is the key to beauty. Off to the dryer I went. I emerged about 35-40 minutes later well rested after dozing off for a bit. Steffi took out the rollers and started the round brush blowout and pin curling. By the time she was done, I was stoked at the results. I loved the volume, bounce, and shine. The whole process took about 1.5 hours but was so worth the time. Price wise -- super competitive which is a plus. I loved the service and the results and will definitely be back soon.

The stylist never told me she was using glue; I believed she was just maintaining my hair. After the session, she didn't wash it--she told me to come back in a week. My hair was wet, sticky, and clamped, so I went under the dryer. Why would she put me under the dryer after using glue? Then, when I returned, she put me in the sink for 30 minutes washing my hair, even though she knew the glue didn't need water--it needed oil. As a professional, she should have known that. When I returned, both the owner and stylist aggressively pulled my hair out for over two hours. I now have a bald spot in the front of my head and severe hair loss all around, from where they pulled the glue off. I ended up having to go to the emergency room, where I was given two different types of steroids and pain medication. I was in severe pain; I had panic attacks because the pain was so bad. After it was over and I looked in the mirror, I felt completely shattered--I was overwhelmed with anxiety and panic. The stylist was not gentle; she knew better as a professional. The owner was completely insensitive--she didn't want to give me her name, and when I asked for the stylist's name, it took forever for her to write it down on a piece of paper. I'm not even sure if that name was real--no business card, just a scribble. This was beyond irresponsible, cruel, and unprofessional. No one should ever have to go through this. They have no business being open.

I emailed the salon with pictures of my bleached damaged hair. I was emailed back by Gina, the owner and experienced stylist. Asked for me to come in and sit in her chair to do a consultation. Which I proceeded to do. I was there and we talked for quite awhile about my hair and she even had other stylist chime in on what they thought. I wanted to cover my damaged bleached hair with a beautiful ombrè that I had picked out and showed the picture again and she agreed it would be ok to do and wouldn't damage my hair anymore being that it would be a color. So she went and got a price and came back and told me and it was $120. (I also spent an additional $40 on a product and hair brush as well as a tip) when she got through, (4.5 hours later) I was in a hurry to get somewhere so she didn't blow dry my hair. I rushed home and had time to go ahead and blow dry it, only to find out it was really un even with the coloring and didn't come down where I wanted it too and where we agreed. Also the color was very brassy/red. I texted her and told her about it as well as sent a picture and she agreed it wasn't what we thought it would be. So I went in the very next day to re color the top and try and get it more even and not so brassy/red. This also didn't work out as planned. She put me under the dryer for awhile and then I got back in her chair so she could finish blow drying to see how it turned out. It was super gray in places somehow and on top, was splotchy as she called it.(to me it's just a mess) Its very un even and un attractive. Its blonde in some places on my roots and dark brown in others. The whole back part of my hair on top close to roots, is still very blonde. She wasn't pleased with it either and asked for me to wear it for a week and see what I thought. Well I did but I still don't like it. So I texted her telling her that I was un happy with it and her only solution is for me to wait it out or to color it again on top even darker. Which my hair is pretty fried as it is and very un healthy. I don't want to color it 3X in a week. I don't think that's smart at all. So here I am with un even and very un attractive hair and out the money for the coloring. Also the 4.5 hours the first day and 3.5 the next. Very sadden with this because she seemed so genuine in the salon and now it's basically like everywhere else, they get paid and don't care what happens when you leave. It looks like I won't be returning ever again :(

We did 3 test strands and I came back a few weeks later for the actual color. And I'm sooooo in love and have gotten amazing reactions from my friends and family. The color is the color of my dreams and she really took the time and care to make sure it would be enough color but still professional for my career. I can't stop taking pictures of myself. I understand not every client will be satisfied, but I was disappointed by the unprofessional response. I originally gave two stars but am lowering it to one after the unprofessionalism. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Deborah is very sweet, however I did not have a great experience with her and would not recommend if you have natural hair. 1) Rough/heavy handed: 2) Left my hair feeling so dry She detangled my fine 4B hair with a regular square paddle brush when it was dry (you never should detangle type 4 hair when it's dry). She then blow dried my hair in this state when it was very dry (she did put oil on at the very end of the appointment, but still it should not have felt that dry during the process). When I asked if she could put something in my hair so it wouldn't be so dry, she responded "like what?" When I asked why my hair was so dry I'm unsure of the response she gave, it didn't make much sense considering my hair was freshly washed and deep conditioned. I am not too tender headed but it was uncomfortable and snagging a lot, while I understand my ends were tangled, she was not very gentle and the entire appointment felt rushed. I also felt like I was on edge the whole time because I was unsure if my hair would be damaged further from all the pulling and detangling while dry.
