Abby and Mandy have been our stylists (Abby being mine, Mandy being my Mom's) and they've always impressed. Haircuts are always a fair price, and soon I plan on getting something more expensive done! I always prefer to feel places out (I've had to cheat on my stylists because I've been moving around) before getting expensive hair cuts done, but I have NO such reservations here. in my opinion because my husband brought my 2 sons to get their haircut and they came back home to me with their hair all chopped up. I do not like their haircut it looks horrible and I am going to be requesting a refund. I almost feel like it was purposely done so bad, his hair is just standing up from the back nothing goes down I can't comb it in any way for it to look decent. If you don't know how to properly cut little boys hair then it's better to be honest then trying to test it out. I've never had a hair salon appointment that was actually fun until today. Everything about Volume was so wonderful! It was clean and cute and everyone I spoke with was so kind. They gave an amazing scalp massage as part of my wash and they really took their time in every step of the process. They make a girl feel actually special when she's just going to get her hair cut! On top of the great experience itself, I really LOVE my haircut (thanks to Brianna!). I also really appreciated that they didn't try to sell me any products at checkout, but they did such a great job that I had to have what they were using! And as small as it sounds, they even put the product in a gift bag instead of just handing it to me over the counter. I'd have never thought anything of it, but those little touches add up! Very disappointed...I came in here Tuesday to get my hair done because my wedding is in a month (I don't remember the stylists name because I never got an email or confirmation text with it) anyways my hair was red and obviously needed to be redone, so I go in and said stylist shows me a bunch of swatches of hair colors on the pallet and we agreed on one. It was a very light brown. So fast forward the customer service was great but my hair is absolutely hideous....I asked for a certain shade of brown and the shade I got was a thousand times darker. So I am going to volume hair salon for about for five years now hum I started seeing page 1st and then Jen they both ultimately last so I can then start seeing Chloe and I can honestly say they are all great hairstylist but when it comes to the actual salon let me tell you. I have yes missed or canceled at 24 hours before which is there a rule actually there is a 24 hour cancellation policy with them. And so I got this letter in the mail that they are literally dropping me as a client, when I have been a loyal client there for 4 1/2 years I think total I have bought so many products I have spent so much money they're rude Deculus literally three weeks ago I sent $509. They told me when they called me to make that appointment for the 509 hair ordeal they told me over the phone I know you're used to paying $180 this time Chloe just wanted me to let you know that it is going to go up in price a little bit because we are putting a lot of more product in your hair yada yada yada then I get to the counter $509 really that's a little jump for you. So then as I was saying I got this letter and it says that we're dropping you as a client because we feel you are not 100% satisfied with your hair literally when I've never complained about my hair except when it was piss yellow yes I think anyone that pays $509 when there's piss yellow spots in their hair they're gonna want to come and get it fixed like no shit. And then I called them and they say all this and they're like and also the no-shows in the early cancellations like I said it the no-shows was when three people in my life died and I I had to be there and then the early cancellations you have 24 hours they literally said you have 24 hours to cancel or else they charge you a small fee so for canceling last minute you can't really hold that against me because of that simple fact that you have a fucking 24 hour cancellation policy. Sorry if my grammar is a little incorrect or I missing periods or commas I'm talk texting. Little disclosure. I am extremely hurt because I have put so much money into that place I have built relationships obviously with the people in that place I loved that hole in the wall piece of shit looking salon because once you went inside it was really nice and I mean I thought if you were nice but I guess not I'm I'm guessing that's why I a lot of their top stylist have quit is because of the way that business is ran. read more

I had a great experience getting my blonde color done with Bri. She is the master-debrasser! She gave me nice cool tones with no "hot roots". (My purple shampoo sisters know what I'm talking about!) She also does a really good hair cut and won't take too much length. The blow-out is great - it lasted for days - which is pretty remarkable in this humidity! I discovered this salon through a friend of mine. I booked an appointment with Paige. I'd visited their Instagram and Facebook to do more research (as I'm sure all girls do when it comes to their hair.) I arrived a little earlier than my appointment to observe the staff and other hairdressers. Have I mentioned that I'm very particular when it comes to my hair...? Paige and Cara greeted me together and sat me down. I wondered if they do this to everyone? Cara listened intently and Paige and I discussed what I wanted done to my hair, what could be done to my hair and I also asked for suggestions. They were both great listeners. It was then that I found out that Cara was there to make note of what I was to get done color wise so that she could cut my hair based on the entire technique that was to be applied. Wow, right? I sure felt special. My hair was exactly what I envisioned. Paige made certain throughout the entire time not to ruin the integrity of my hair. Which I greatly appreciated. She educated me along the way, as I know more now about color, technique, style and hair product than ever before. I've visited numerous upscale salons throughout the Houston and surrounding areas, sometimes content, sometimes not. But, I can honestly say, Volume has won my business. Went once before about a year ago and was back in town recently so thought it was worth a second visit. The stylist that did services before no longer works here so got booked with someone else - boy was that a disappointment. Sadly, the services, which were performed by one of their newest employees were substandard. And to top the experience off, the shampoo bowl she used was disgusting and the bathroom available for customer's use was just as filthy. Can assure you, won't be going back here ever again.
