I can never make the classes because it's straight after work or early in the morning. If you need tv while cardio-ing, then you need to bring a radio that tunes into the tv frequencies, I don't really care for it so it doesn't bother me. I don't do the tanning & salon, but they have that too. In fact, most of the cars in the parking lot are tanners, the gym area is usually empty. The weight room can get crowded, but it's not bad. The gym doesn't smell bad, and if it does you can prop open one of the doors. The worst is when somebody axe effects the entire locker room and then it's just plain nasty. I don't shower in the gym because the water smells kinda funks, but they do have hand sanitizers all over the place. One thing that annoys me is the limited weekend hours, especially on Sunday, when it closes at 3pm.

First they advertise all of these amenities, but when I asked for a masseuse she wasn't there and apparently you have to book two weeks out. WTF? Then I worked out on some exercise machines. It was a push day and there just weren't enough machines to do those sets. Now if they had free weights they were hidden because 8 never saw them. I like to finish up with some cardio. Now these they had plenty of. So I chose a bike and set to spinning. And they have an app to listen to TV on your phone. Wow that's great. Set up my headphones and started laughing and working out to Modern Family. Until the sound didn't sync up to the show. It was like watching a Chinese Martial Arts movie dubbed over in English. Remember those on Saturday afternoons? So that sucked. And then the bike shut down so there went any stats that was being recorded. Ok so that was enough. Decided I'd go get a manicure since I saw her there when I walked in. Oh no she left 10 minutes ago. How about we post the hours so your customers know And to tip it off no towels and no lockers either? Where do your regulars change! So hopefully I never have to go back to Potsdam again. If so I'll go find a big rock to work out with. This place was not worth it.

This is my partner's most recent experience: I had planned to get a tattoo done right before the Christmas holidays and so made an appointment 3 months in advance. The tattoo I wanted I'd been thinking about getting for quite some time now, and obviously since it's a permanent fixture on my body, I had some specific ideas I wanted to bounce off her. I made time to visit her shop about 3 weeks before my actual appointment to go over some of the details. She listened to what I had to say, but gave the impression that I was not a priority, despite me being the only person in her store. I was a little put off, but left her with some notes on what my ideas were. Two weeks before my appointment, I emailed her with a more concrete idea, some reference images, a description of what I wanted based on these images, and a few questions about her pricing and such. I never received a response from her, and ended up sending another email to her a week later to see if she had ever received the first one. She finally responded saying she had received it, but that she wouldn't start working on the design until closer to my appointment time. She finally reached out to me with questions about my design 48 hours before the scheduled inking. After responding to her questions, she emailed me 20 minutes later with a draft image. I sent back an image with some alterations I wanted and she replied with "I'll get to it tomorrow". The next day rolls around, and she sends me an altered image about 24 hours before my appointment with only one of the five changes I had wanted, and no text accompanying that email. At this point, I'd spoken with the community at large which had unanimously said that this transaction was sketchy at minimum, if not an outright scam. So I responded to her 'updated' image expressing my discomfort, and explaining that I'd rather have someone who cared a bit more about the permanent piece of art I wanted etched into my skin. Her response was that she was "a VERY busy tattoo artist, and routinely did everything last minute." This, needless to say, did not reassure me. She then informed me of her 72 hour cancellation policy. When I confirmed my cancellation and asked how I was supposed to adhere to that policy when she had only reached out to me 48 hours prior, her response was "Happy Holidays" At this point, I'm more disappointed than angry. The tattoo was supposed to be a Christmas gift and I got myself excited about it, but this whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

She booked me very quickly and abruptly. I left the salon feeling very uneasy that I was putting such an important event in the hands of someone who I had barely spoken to. I walked back into the shop and asked to see photos of her work. This is when she became extremely rude, telling me in a nasty tone that she had a customer and couldn't spend time talking to me. She did tell me to come for a consultation, but she didn't have availability before I left the area. I understand that this salon is a one-woman show and she had a customer, but she didn't offer to call me at a time more convenient to her or even act slightly sorry that a customer couldn't get more info from her. The best part is when I called yesterday to confirm the appointments I had booked with her two months earlier. She had canceled my appointments and claimed to have another wedding party that day. Again, no apologies, no attempt to rectify the situation. This was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had and prompted me to write my first yelp review.

The owner was very professional with her, despite the fact that she arrived unannounced on a busy Saturday afternoon to ask for a wedding consult prior to her departure the following Monday. She left the salon and came back in twice more, interrupting my appointment. The owner was much more polite with the interruptions that I would have been! Lack of planning on the reviewer's part caused her problem, not the salon. Cloud 9 has the most current techniques, products and styles in the area. The owner is constantly traveling to shows to bring the best back to Massena!

The hairdresser is nice and friendly, and tries to listen to your directions. They do have a whole bunch of fancy equipment and hair products, but it doesn't really apply to me. The price isn't bad $15 + tip, but considering the barbershop is $6 + tip and better quality men's haircut, it's hard to give the magic comb more than 2 stars for men's haircut.
