My first impression walking in the door was not a good one. There were several employees huddled up chatting, laughing, etc. This felt very click-y and not the environment I was hoping for. I was presented the option to use a robe and slippers and while I do understand that not everyone will take advantage, I felt like I was inconveniencing someone by using these services. Why not invite me in to the locker room, show me my assigned locker, point out the goodies and say, "our robes and slippers are available for you to use!" or something similar. I would rate the massage a 2.5 out of 5. The masseuse did not utilize the time (60 min), nor did she reach my requested pressure points. I felt time was wasted. It was odd. Now, the facial, 8 out of 5! She was so detailed oriented and truly spent so much time on my skin. My upper body was massaged SO much better through my facial than through the full-body massage. She focused on trouble areas and made some recommendations (which I really appreciated!) I was a bit embarrassed leaving there because my face was completely red (looked like a terrible burn), but she said it would subside within an hour and it did. I may skip the massage next time, but definitely plan on giving GiGis another chance, especially for the facials.

My daughter recently paid $170 for a haircut & color service at this salon & was extremely…read moredisappointed with the results. She is very shy & was uncomfortable addressing the issue herself, so I initially contacted the salon on her behalf with her permssion. The haircut was so minimal that neither family members nor friends could tell she had her hair cut. The color was placed underneath her hair, making it virtually invisible during normal wear. We even provided before-and-after photos to support our concerns. When I first spoke with management, I was told she would review the situation with the owners and she indicated that a refund might be appropriate. However, after the stylist became involved, the conversation changed completely. Although we made it clear that my daughter was not comfortable returning to the same stylist for correction, that seemed to become the salon's only proposed solution. ********Most disappointing of all, we sent a respectful email to the owners detailing our concerns and included photos. We even proposed a partial refund for just the haircut and not the color and never received a response**** Everyone can make mistakes, but professional businesses should stand behind their work and communicate with their customers when concerns are raised. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

What I find to be absolutely ridiculous is the fact my lash artist refused to work me in when I reported losing multiple lashes on both eyes due to my lash schedule being thrown off by a whimsical vacation she decided to take. Everyone deserves to take a vacation, however the business owner/lash artist should also consider accommodating their client when they report losing multiple lashes in one week because their over due for a fill! Verses expecting them to wait over a week until their next scheduled appointment! I was told " I have nothing, I'm really busy fitting people in since my vacation". "I absolutely appreciate you, I appreciate all my ladies to the fullest". "I just wish there were more hours in the day". After receiving that response via email, I felt far from an appreciated customer who always kept scheduled appointments, referred others and left a generous gratuity in her hand every two weeks! If you decide to use this studio please have a back-up lash artist on speed dial because you will NOT get worked in with Sheila unless she's reworking her schedule prior to going on a whimsical vacation! Hopefully providing an excellent customer experience becomes the focus of their business model one day! ______________ 09/27 update ______________ After contacting the lash studio with photos showing the shape my lashes were in, I received this blank Thank You card with a partial refund of my last service. WOW! Notice the chunky clumps of lashes in my photo below? For those of you reading the raving reviews following mine about the wonderful lash retention this handful of people experience after a little gossip session with Sheila. FYI ~ Sure adding copious amounts of glue to clumps of lashes verses individually placing them will most definitely make the lashes stay on but it's not healthy for your natural lashes. I always wondered why my eyelids were so puffy/itchy at times and how she was able to do a fill in 45 minutes. It took my new lash artist a while to remove the glue clumps! Keep it classy Shek lash studio and stop gossiping about your former clients for shedding light on your lack of professionalism!

WOW! Where do I begin?…read more Let's start with the atmosphere! The place is gorgeous. It's been beautifully designed with a lot of elegance. It smelled amazing when I walked in and all the jewelry and products were very visually appealing. They sold many good quality jewelry and luxury products. The staff was all so welcoming, fun, beautiful, and very talented. They made the experience very comfortable. I had my very first airbrush experience and left feeling so happy and flawless. I couldn't get over the fact of how natural my makeup was and how light it was. I had such a wonderful experience I decided to have Kess do a brow lamination for me. Again, this is a new treatment for me and I was blown away. I didn't realize I actually had that many brow hairs. The lamination came with a brow tint and she definitely perfected the color. She asked if I would like a scalp massage while the treatment sat on my brows and that definitely elevated my experience.

She followed directions great and listened to my needs. I was a south asian bride so had alot of factors coming in, including specifics with my veil and dupatta and she accommodated well.
