My daughter had her wedding there a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely loved the property. Being from Hawaii, I've never been in such an old, historic property before. The garden area for the wedding ceremony was perfectly landscaped and surrounded by beautiful trees. The dining hall was quite spacious as we had about 100 guests on 10 round tables. It was perfect! The servers were efficient and dinner service went off without any issues. We brought our own liquor and the bartenders were kept busy all night. We went here to attend a wedding in July and it wasn't what I thought it was going to be overall. First, it was a little tricky parking. We went around to go to the parking lot. There was ample space which was great but no lines so it was basically a big space. There's a long meandering walkway up to the venue. There's a playground but that's reserved for the kids center. It was sunny that day and the wedding started at 4pm. Unfortunately, more than half of the outdoor seating wasn't covered so I was warm and the sun was in my eyes. It was nice they had microphones otherwise you wouldn't be able to hear. I suppose it could fit about 100+ guests comfortably maybe up to 200+ compactly. Once the vows were done, there wasn't much to do. They have a room with a billard table and a fountain but that's about it. There isn't much in terms of entertainment other than that. The kids were getting antsy and it took them about 2 hours to get dinner ready! My kids were snacking on what I brought them because they were too hungry. They brought out small hots d'oeuvre of bacon wrapped dates and fruity tart with cheese but that's about it. They had 2 kinds of non-alcoholic drinks readily available - cucumber water and rosemary lemonade. They had more alcoholic drinks of beer, wine, and cocktails. Since they didn't have a program available, I didn't know what was next or how long things took. I was about to leave before dinner was served until I asked how long it was going to take. We had dinner indoors and the room doesn't have AC but they had a big fan going. The room was set up nicely - there were 12 tables in all and it didn't feel cramped. The food was decent. Once they let people know we could eat, we all headed over. They had bread and salad all prepared at the table. It took about 20 minutes for the main course to arrive. We left before the cake got there unfortunately because it took so long. How long? 4:30-6:20 just waiting around, down time. 625-725pm salad, main course but no dessert yet. The water jug wasn't cold either. The sea bass was alright - slightly overcooked but I was starving and didn't mind. Roasted summer veggies and steak was fine so was the whipped potatoes. The food came out about the same time for the tables so that was good. One of the bathroom doors werent working and they have hot water but not cold. It looked like the original fixtures. From the first time I reached out to T&T catering to the amazing salmon dinner, the T&T team was absolutely amazing. My first interactions were with Kimball and Sara, whom I hold dearly in my heart. They graciously walked my now husband and I through the planning process of having our special day at the Hall at Fauntleroy. On the big day, the T&T team stepped up even more than I could ever expect. 1) Rain was in the forecast and we planned to have our ceremony in the garden. The T&T team set up the upstairs room for our ceremony in case we changed our minds last minute, which we eventually did. That was such an amazing surprise! 2) A crow flew into our reception room before the ceremony (I had no idea - great job T&T + my wedding party!). Due to the food safety hazard, the T&T team once again went above and beyond and moved our entire reception set up (tables, chairs, decor, cakes, etc.) to the upstairs room. It was mesmerizing to watch while we finished our family photos inside. Lastly, but certainly not least, the team lead an incredible dinner service (family style). They made sure that all special meals when to the correct guests, wine glasses were always full, and even cracked some jokes with our friends at the "Jesse table". We found The Hall at Fauntleroy the week of our engagement while walking our pups in our West Seattle Neighborhood- we felt how special it was, and loved imagining the possibility of our wedding taking place just walking distance from our house. Immediately The Hall at Fauntleroy Team was responsive, thorough all while being festive and helping us feel celebratory. We loved the Event Proposal process, where The Hall of Fauntleroy Team drafted different versions of what our wedding and reception might include at a myriad of price points, everything was customizable to meet our vision of what was important and where we wanted to devote resources. Our dedicated coordinators were attuned to our energy and consistently made us feel seen - even when we were being two neurotic brides (virgo/capricorn duo). The team also had excellent recommendations for other vendors we might want to work with - but was equally warm and welcoming to vendors new to their team. We had so much fun at different planning events put on by the team including our tasting, an open house with featured vendors and our individual planning sessions. We also ate and drank so much! The full food and drink program was dialed in, thoughtful, seasonal dishes with local touches were exactly our vibe, We still dream about the lemonade! We understand our bias, but truly it was the best wedding we have ever been to and it's what we continued to hear from a lot of our guests. Flow was effortless, staff were professional and FUN, we ate and drank so many delightful things. The setting felt cozy and unique, while maintaining quintessential Seattle energy. With one of us having a career as an event planner, the technical details were something that were very important to us, and it was perfect. Our day was both chic and comfortable - which is no easy task, but precisely what we requested. We held our wedding ceremony & reception at The Hall at Fauntleroy in August. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would 100% recommend the venue. We held our ceremony outside in the garden and reception upstairs in the Emerald room. The garden is a beautiful setting and it actually makes you forget you are right in Seattle. The outdoor bar provided our guests drinks before the ceremony and made for a smooth transition to our outdoor cocktail hour. The beautiful brick walls and big windows of the Emerald room make for an ideal dinner setting. The room required little additional decoration and ended up being more beautiful than we could have imagined. Our guests raved about the food and we were impressed be the catering staff throughout the day. They were kind to all our guests and paid extra special attention to us. While everything came together perfectly, we did feel like overall communication leading up to the wedding could have been better. We often felt like we had to email the team multiple times to get a response. Thankfully, when it was time for the wedding all of our special details were done correctly (long tables instead of rounds at dinner, dual aisles for the ceremony, cut limes for the Modelo beer). I would classify this wedding venue as an outdated disappointment. The overall atmosphere is lack luster and in need of modernization. A lot of additional floral and décor would be necessary to make the venue feel unique. However, a major concern is the lack of true ADA accessibility. There are stairs connecting different spaces, but no chair lift or elevator for guests in wheelchairs or walkers. The venue does not prioritize the accessibility of the space, which could hinder the experience for guests. Though it does have some parking, that does not outweigh the other obvious short comings of the venue when there are many other wedding locations in Seattle to choose from that also let you bring in your own caterer and have a much more updated, ready to go look. They also do not seem to have AC, which given the past hot hot summers we have experienced in Seattle I can imagine that the venue would be completely insufferable and uncomfortable for all guests. read more

I got married at the Hall at Fauntleroy in June 2019. The venue is beautiful, especially the garden, and our first experience on a tour was wonderful, however, their staff's attention to detail was poor on numerous occasions leading to a number of big disappointments. We had very poor communication from Kimball leading up to our day, including her missing on 4 occasions that we had requested no pork or shellfish. Luckily, another coordinator caught this as "No Pork" was written on our menu, but Kimball had failed to let us know that it was in the stuffed mushrooms, and helped us change it 5 days before our wedding. On our wedding day itself the event staff set up our ceremony site ($500 extra fee) with 32 extra chairs, leaving our ceremony feeling empty and me wondering if we had many guests not come when in fact almost everyone was there. The day-of staff also didn't leave space for a dance floor on our wedding day which I thankfully caught before the guests moved into the reception room. We did have a day of coordinator, but these things were missed as we were told the staff at HAF would attend to them. read more

I was married here last month and had such a good overall experience. Now as it goes with any wedding, it was not without hiccups but the staff, especially Reed, were great at working through any issues with me... and were patient with me. I required a lot of detail and a lot of talking me through things, and Reed was a peach! If you are considering using this venue for your wedding please consider the following: Raves: - The Vashon room has been almost completely redone and looks beautiful. Brand new carpet, large pendant lights. Gorgeous. - The mirror in the Vashon room is amazing to be next to during your ceremony while your back is to your guests. You're able to sneak quick peeks at your friends and family all while still being able to focus on your ever important vows. - There are four distinct spaces in this venue (studio, Vashon room, garden courtyard, and Emerald room) so it gives you a lot to play with in terms of decor. - Their prices are hard to beat. I did a lot of research before I settled on the Hall at Fauntleroy, and I don't know any other space that would have been able to give me such high quality service at the price they did. - The food is so, so, so good. Their catering company, Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes, is amazing. - Plenty of free street and parking lot parking. Downside: - There are no hotels in West Seattle so your guests will all either have to drive or take a $30-40 cab ride back in to downtown Seattle. - If you think you can use the Vashon room for the ceremony and the reception, you are probably wrong. There is just no good way to flip the room without having tables tackily "hidden" during the ceremony, so get over this idea right away. Either use the Emerald room for both the ceremony and the reception; get married out in the garden and use Vashon for the reception only; or use Vashon for the ceremony and Emerald for the reception (what we ended up doing after months of debate). read more

We weren't able to do our wedding at the beginning of Covid but when things started opening up Kimball made sure to contact us to let us know if we were open to a small intimate wedding that it was possible and she would be there to help every step of the way. She kept in touch and when we decided to do a small intimate wedding she was rite there with any questions I or we had. She's Amazin we loved her. The venue is a must have its breath taking and sooo beautiful. I got alot of compliments on the venue. Had my wedding here on 7/31/10 and it was beautiful!! The staff was great and the food was amazing! We had the fajita buffet which made it even better with an actual chef cooking and sautéing in front us. SOOO tasty! It was pretty affordable BUT a few things I didn't like... Cons- -you only get ONE hour to decorate the venue, if you want more time you have to pay $100 each additional hour (which you will definitely need!). -It gets extremely HOT in the building. They don't have A/C! Luckily I had fans as my programs so my guests were able to use them throughout the reception. PROS- -small building BUT very intimate -beautiful courtyard and well kept -pool table!! (if you pay for the studio room/courtyard only) -great staff (Kristin was great!) I give it a 4 just because it got WAY too hot in there and I could tell that my guest were a bit uncomfortable during the ceremony. I just had the perfect wedding reception at this place on August 1st. The staff were so attentive and helpful, yet not in any way intrusive. The food was amazing - people are still talking about it. The Emerald Room is so beautifully decorated on its own that all we did was get some flowers for the table. Kristin was extremely helpful as an event planner. They were able to order my husband's favorite beer from Texas in a keg, which made him and all his UTexas buddies extremely happy. It was hotter than hell in there because it was during the major heatwave...BUT it would be anywhere. We still had a blast and the party went on...sweaty pits and all. read more

I would give 4.5 stars if I could! We got married at The Hall at Fauntleroy on September 2 and choosing this venue was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made! What we loved: - On a sunny day, the garden ceremony location is take-your-breath-away stunning. I'm talking garden of eden here, people. Even though the forecast said rain, we took a chance and kept our ceremony outdoors--and we got lucky with one of the nicest days of the whole summer! It's smart to have a plan B (they offered us the Vashon room as a backup in case of rain) but I am SO glad we did what we did. We got so many compliments on the venue and the memories I have of our ceremony will be something I cherish forever. - The reception room (we reserved the Emerald Room) was awesome. The big stage was perfect for dancing (and a live band!) and the exposed brick walls and huge windows really wowed our guests. I love the little updates they've done to the place. Pictures really don't do it justice! - The food was delicious! I would hire their in-house caterer (Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes) for any event. If only they had a restaurant so I could eat their food more often... - The event coordinators were amazing from start to finish. Originally we worked with Kristen, who was so helpful through the beginning of the planning process. When Kristen went on maternity leave, we were assigned to Amanda, who was equally as awesome and was so sweet and fun to work with. She even helped me with a few of my unconventional requests for the big day, and stuck around through our reception to make sure everything was running smoothly...can't say enough good things about this girl! They even let us bring in our own keg of home-brewed beer, and my dad's famous smoked salmon, which are two pretty important things in our family...these little things made our wedding day so memorable and special! - The price. Weddings are freakin expensive, and it's really hard to throw a party for 200 people on a budget, but the Hall at Fauntleroy really delivers a lot of bang for your buck. They knew our budget from the beginning and helped me come up with create ways to make it amazing without adding to the bill. It was so refreshing since at pretty much every other venue I look into, every little thing was nickle-and-dimed to death. I can't say how much I appreciate their flexibility and willingness to work within a budget! - One-stop shopping. Since they have in-house catering and partnerships with lots of local vendors, you don't have to run yourself ragged looking for the right people to help with your big day! Super awesome if you're busy like us :) Why I give 4 stars instead of 5: - We ordered uplighting for the reception room ($10 per light, we paid for 9) but they were never set up. The room still looked beautiful and as the bride, I can honestly say I didn't even notice on the day of, but looking back at pictures I do wish that we'd had them for a little extra dramatic effect :) We have yet to receive the final invoice, but I'm assuming the money they charged us for the lights will be removed. Things happen, life goes on! - I really wanted to have ice cream served with our cake, and they were awesome about getting it ordered through my favorite local place, Full Tilt. However, it wasn't until after the wedding that I realized it wasn't served until after we (and most of our guests) had already left, AND it was melted. Like soupy melted! Apparently they don't have a freezer at the venue...why this wasn't mentioned when we talked about ordering ice cream is a beyond me, but I'll chalk it up to a simple oversight! If I had known they didn't have a freezer, I never would have paid $500 for ice cream soup that no one was around to eat :) All things considered, it really was the best day of our lives and we have the folks at The Hall at Fauntleroy (and of course, so many others) to thank for it! Where do I begin?! We had the BEST experience with Kristin and the rest of the staff at the Hall at Fauntleroy. We had gotten engaged about two years prior to our wedding date which made it easier for us to find a venue. We needed somewhere that could hold up to 250 people at a resonable price--and we found it! Kristin was really really easy to work with throughout the planning process and offered help, other ideas and suggestions and worked within our budget. I thought I knew what I wanted but realized I wanted to change a few small details (primarily a few linens) a week or two before the wedding and Kristin made the changes happen. We used the Emerald room which needed little decoration because the venue is beautiful. The venue does have lights that we rented to shine up the brick which added a nice touch. The staff at the venue were nothing but outstanding the night of the wedding to my husband and I and all of our guest. Whenever myself or my husband would walk up to the bar or would see us wandering around the floor they would ask if we were okay, what they could get for us, etc. They were very attentive but not to the point of annoyance. We have heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests about the food (we used their caterer-Tuxedos and Tennis shoes and had lasagna, green beans, salad and bread), the space, the parking and the staff. The staff made us "bride and groom take out" boxes of left overs for us to take with us at the end of the night which was definitly appreciated! We were tired and hungry once we got to our hotel--so we were glad we had them! We also got married at the Fauntleroy Church across the street---which is a separate company from the Hall, but if you are looking for a venue and a location to get married I would recommend them both. I really dislike this place. Huge, blank, boring facility. They force you to utilize their - and I'm not embellishing here - embarrassingly unimaginative and low-quality catering if you use their blank and boring facility. And, if that weren't enough, they are incredibly rude. I mean, needlessly and openly rude. Any interaction I've had with any of the people who seem to manage this place has been hostile. It's like they have a story running through their heads that everyone is taking advantage of them, and that the only way to deal with we who are taking advantage of them is to be exceptionally curt, rude, and unaccommodating. tl;dr - cold warehouse run by lousy people who serve Costco food at catering prices. read more

We had an all-staff meeting at the Hall at Fauntleroy recently and I was VERY impressed. The hall is the renovated Fauntleroy Schoolhouse - very cool! They have ample parking (very important!) and a great space. We were only in what I can assume used to be the cafeteria so there may be other spaces in the building but I loved the space. I didn't measure but I think the ceilings are a good 50 feet tall - they are beautiful. Huge open windows that appear to look out on an urban old growth forest. The chandeliers are just okay - but certainly don't detract from the space. The space is decorated in muted modern colors and would be a great place to host a wedding reception. The space comes with a medium sized stage - perfect for a slide show, presentation, dancing (?), or a speech. We were there for breakfast which I thought was very well done by the catering staff. Fruit, coffeecake, home fries, and eggs were all fantastic. It really hard to make scrambled eggs for a large group of people and they pulled it off! read more

When I first walked into the Hall of Fauntleroy 14 months ago, I was not bowled over by the aesthetics... it's an old school house in West Seattle and definitely looked the part at the time... BUT WOW!!!! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE AND BEAUTIFUL VENUE! This place transforms for weddings!!! We rented it because it met our practical aspects required for a venue ( large bridal room for bride to hide, studio for party to hide and stage, private bathroom for brides with a large dresses, outdoor and indoor accommodations). I had no idea just how spectacular this place could become! Side note - You should definitely rent the whole venue out if you are planning to do the ceremony and the reception in the same place, since, depending on the time of year, it might rain (which -surprise surprise Seattle, it did). I had planned an outdoor wedding, only for it to get rained in at the very last second. The catering staff from Tuxedos & Tennis Shows (the catering company the operates out of the venue) was EXCELLENT and extremely helpful and accommodating. Plus, the food was to die for and beautifully prepared!! Our guests were gushing over how delicious everything was!! We have been to several weddings and I know for a fact our wedding had the best food of any wedding I've been to (as far as we know, there were NO leftovers). We also did family style plated dinners, so our guests did not have to wait in line to get food! The entire process was also extremely easy and very low stress. The Hall and T&T provides tasting events, including a private tasting for the future couple (which I LOVED). This allows to couple to actually try their meal before serving it, so they can make last second changes. It costs about as much as a nice dinner and it definitely worth the spend. Finally, we worked with Natalie who made the whole experience so wonderful! She was extremely detail oriented and communicative, going above and beyond for us to help make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. All and all, best decision to go with place!! Also, shout out to Moe from T & T! My feet were very, VERY wet (I wore lace flats and wanted pictures outside by the beautiful arch after it had rained - LOL). I asked some of the staff for something to dry my feet with and she went above and beyond to make sure I wouldn't have "cold feet" on my wedding day! Thanks Moe!! I'm a wedding photographer that has photographed at this beautiful venue. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for any couple who has a big family. You can also have small intimate weddings here. I think the courtyard would be perfect for a small wedding and hope to photograph another wedding here. Tips: Get the studio room! It's so rad to get photos in there and rest after family & bridal portraits on their luscious lawn. LOVED: 1. Kristin - great planner, great communication, made everything very easy. 2. The grounds - beautiful outdoor space, lots of room for guests to mill about, well-kept plants, clean bathrooms. 3. Parking - gotta love free parking! WAS HAPPY WITH: 1. The price - not too spendy (for what we wanted), was a nice trade-off for the convenience factor. 2. The food - everyone loved the mini-burger passed appetizers. And, the buffet style servings supplied plenty of food for all of our guests. Nice menu to choose from to. 3. The bar staff - the bartender poured some nice drinks and was super friendly to kids, adults, and older family/friends alike. WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED: 1. Timing - After having completed a very detailed schedule of events that they asked me to fill out, I was hoping that there would be someone there to move things along and prompt us with stuff like "hey, it's time to cut the cake" or "hey, this is when you said you were doing to bouquet toss". I was so busy that day, I couldn't remember a thing about the schedule. Fortunately, our DJ helped out a bit... but, we weren't able to do an official bouquet toss because by the time I realized we didn't do it, half of our guests were gone. 2. Carpeting - the carpeting in their downstairs room is old and outdated. Would love to see them update this. 3. Cake leftovers - a huge bummer that they couldn't figure out how to get slices of cake in the bags we spent $70 on for cake leftovers for our guests. Now we have an entire sheet cake of leftovers, guests that went home without cake, and 80 bags we have no use for. 4. Snaffoos - a few days before our wedding, we were emailed by one of Kristin's assistants to clarify if we wanted sweet potato fries or chips with the appetizers we were passing around. I said fries. We got chips... in the BAGS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE USED FOR CAKE LEFTOVERS! I had one of my bridesmaids correct this and they remedied the problem... but, lack of communication happened somewhere. Also... they apparently only had ONE lighter in the whole establishment to light our votives... so, one of my bridesmaids had to scramble up lighters from guests and run around last minute to get them lit. 5. Electricity - not sure if it's because it's an old schoolhouse and the electrical needs updating, but the DJ blew a fuse during our first dance. It was awkward... but, we made the most of it and were back on track quickly (I think mostly due to the DJ's fast actions). All in all, we like The Hall at Fauntleroy. We'll look back on it fondly. We're really happy we had our wedding there. And despite some of the annoyances noted above, they get a full 4 stars because I'm a happy married woman and the small stuff really doesn't matter all that much. read more

We had our wedding at the Hall at Fauntleroy in September, 2018 and our experience was mixed. I'll start with the good: 1. The food was great. We served both steak and salmon and both were cooked perfectly and several guests told us how good the dinner was. The passed appetizers were good and I heard that one staff member even went out of their way to make sure some vegetarian guests got enough vegetarian appetizers brought to them during cocktail hour. 2. The space is beautiful. The outdoor garden was perfect for our ceremony. The lush greenery perfectly filled in to create a gorgeous backdrop with just enough light peeking through, but the area stayed shaded under the trees and hedges in the late afternoon so our guests weren't baking in the sun. We didn't feel the need to decorate the outdoor space at all because it was so naturally pretty. We were also glad there was a free parking lot for our guests. The two indoor spaces are both great. We used the Emerald Room upstairs for dinner and the Vashon Room for dancing and a photo booth. Both had more than enough space for our group 115 and we loved that the venue had lounge furniture for the Vashon Room so people could rest and chat when not dancing. The only downsides here were that in-house mic and speaker in the Emerald Room did not work great for toasts and it got very hot in the Vashon room (fortunately, doors opened directly to the garden when people needed some air). 3. The staff was friendly and generally helpful. The night of the wedding, servers made sure that we had champagne without ever having to go to the bar. In planning, they were open to us bringing in our own vendors (no required preferred list), but did also give us suggestions to help us find a photographer. Having the venue-and-catering-in-one also made planning easier for us, and we were grateful that they handled so much of the extra stuff (nice chairs, plates, linens, etc.) in-house. Now for the not-so-good: 1. Our main complaint is that over the 17 months from our first tour to our wedding, we had 4 different coordinators/contacts at the venue. Communicating with four different people, our mileage varied, and some things likely got lost in translation and had to be emailed multiple times. We were planning from out of state, and so communication was key. This led to particular issues like being told the week of the wedding that we owed a $300 more because someone had miscalculated the number of appetizers we needed and it wasn't caught until then. Our final venue contact also didn't show up to our final walkthrough the week of the wedding, which was our only chance to talk to her in-person. She cancelled just a couple hours before the meeting, which had been scheduled months in advance and confirmed a couple days earlier. This left us with a number of questions we had planned to discuss in person that did not get asked, some of which came up as problems on the night of the wedding. 2. There were several communication and/or staff errors with our food. Somehow the kitchen did not get five of our meals recorded and we only had enough food for everyone because we had 6 last minute no-shows. They also did not serve the coffee we asked for with dessert. Fortunately, when discussing these issues after the fact, we were offered a refund for the meals that weren't made and the coffee that wasn't served. Probably the worst error of the night was that they only served about a third of the desserts that we had ordered. We did not have a cake and were very excited about the dessert array that we had sampled at our tasting and it's incredibly disappointing that there wasn't enough for every guest to even have one bite of dessert. When we brought up this point after the wedding, we were told thanks for the information but offered no apology or compensation for the desserts that we paid for but weren't served. 3. Finally, we also had several issues with the bar. We opted for the top tier option for the full bar because this was an area where we wanted to spend more money for the best possible experience for our guests. Somehow, they were way off in their preparation and we ran out of gin and vodka as well as several mixers (like tonic and grapefruit) early in the night. Relatedly, the staff repeatedly cleared several unfinished drinks that were set down on tables near the dance floor while guests were dancing. We were told that the staff is trained specifically not to do that, so I'm not sure what happened, but that was a good bit of money tossed down the drain and also made us run out of liquor even faster. Overall, our night was good. The food was good, the venue was lovely, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, there were also several glaring issues that did not go unnoticed. It is unfortunate that among the many happy memories from the night, we also have many disappointing memories where the ball was dropped on several key things we were excited for and cared a lot about. read more

When we first realized we had a guest list of 250 guests, we realized quickly not many locations would accommodate our reception. Hall at Fauntleroy was not only in a central location (West Seattle) but across from a family church (Fauntleroy UCC). When we first visited, we loved the open space, with exposed brick in the Emerald Room. We met with Kristin, who was so incredibly accommodating, working with our budget and making suggestions for how to cut down on expenditures. She was honest, and helpful ... and answered our multitude of questions in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding, the staff was amazing - friendly, speedy and flexible. I can't speak highly enough about the Hall at Fauntleroy ... it was the perfect venue for us. read more

We held our wedding reception in the Emerald Room at the Hall at Fauntleroy in June 2011. For two months we searched high and low for an elegant venue that would hold about 225 guests and cost a reasonable amount, and the moment we walked into the Emerald Room, we knew we finally found our location! The Emerald Room is beautiful. We loved the high ceilings, huge windows/natural light, mirrors and brick walls. Although it can accommodate 250 guests, we felt that any more than 200 would be too crowded. We ended having only 200 guests and had the stage area open for the emcees, games and dancing. If we had more than 200 guests, then we would've had to seat people on the stage and then break down the tables up there when it was time for dancing. The room got a bit hot since there's no AC, but it was manageable. We were nervous about being forced to use Tuxedoes and Tennis Shoes Catering, but they did an amazing job. The food was hot and delicious, and our guests were going back for seconds in the buffet lines. T&T was great in working with our budget and being open to make food and drinks that were not traditionally on their menu (e.g., kahlua pork and cabbage, bubble tea). Our T&T event planner was great to work with (fyi - he's no longer with the company). He was responsive to phone calls and emails and seemed to have everything under control. We took away a star from this review because there were a few things that happened that were disappointing. We provided the event planner with our schedule for the evening so that the event team could be prepared. When it came time to do toasts, we expected that the guests would already have glasses of sparkling cider in their hands. However, the servers only started passing out the drinks while the toasts were going on. When it came time to raise our glasses, only the wedding party and a few tables were prepared. Additionally, when it came time to do the cake cutting, we had no knife or cake server and ended up using a spare butter knife from a nearby table. Perhaps we should've been more detailed in our schedule and called out the tasks of the event team, but you would think they've done this long enough to know when "8 p.m. - Toasts" is in the schedule. then they should start preparing for it at 7:30 or 7:45. Oh well. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at the Hall at Fauntleroy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend others to this venue. read more

Came here to attend on of the most fun weddings I had been to in a long time!

Main complaint is the horrible sound system. I am sitting here right now trying to listen to my sisters grad school banquet. Very unprofessional for an establishment to have this poor of sound quality. Furthermore there is no one here trying to remedy this extremely loud hum. Make sure you test out well before you drop money on this place. It is my pet peeve when a place like this, that does events all the time, will not invest in some decent cables and has no one trouble shooting sound issues. I do not recommend. read more

Our wedding was mid May and it was beautiful. We got both the Vashon and Emerald room. The venue is beautiful. There is a parking lot. There is not an elevator but it's not a big deal there is a load and unload area at the front door. Staff was fantastic to work with. Reed and David M. did a fantastic job. We had our wedding and reception at The Hall at Fauntleroy, catered in-house by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes. Well before our wedding date, Amanda Austin, the event manager handling our wedding, kept us well-informed of all the details necessary for our special day. She was incredibly responsive to e-mails, including many last-minute concerns the week of the wedding! On the wedding day their staff performed flawlessly - everything was executed exactly as planned in our discussions with Amanda, and we did not have to worry about a single detail. The food was also fantastic, and they were nice enough to send us home with plenty of leftovers. In fact, many wedding guests told us the food was one of the highlights of their day, which from a buffet-style lunch is no small feat (the cedar planked salmon was especially a hit)! They were also able to provide us with additional event space for the signing of our ketubah and our yichud, and really went above and beyond to make every minute of our wedding wonderful! *Just wanted to add that we had the ceremony in the garden and the reception in the Vashon Room. If you're looking for an event space to do both the ceremony and the reception, this worked out PERFECTLY! The garden is lovely- post-ceremony, guests can have cocktails outside, and are then ushered into the Vashon Room, which has tons of light. read more

I just wanted to share a quick note about the Hall at Fauntleroy and the Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes catering team. I am very impressed with their organization. I am in the process of planning my wedding and had the reception venue narrowed down to two locations. I liked the venue- large enough for my 175- 220 guests and loaded with old schoolhouse character, the food selection sounded amazing, and the price was reasonable, and there was parking included! There is also a great courtyard, grassy area and pool table studio that comes with the Vashon Room rental. Wonderful value. Throughout the process, Brittany from Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering provided honest, helpful, informative, and prompt information. If you are planning a wedding, you know what a difference it makes to work with good communicators when you are trying to make big (and expensive decisions). In the end, I chose a venue farther north- simply because it would be closer to the ceremony. It was a difficult choice. Based on my experience in the preliminary stages, I would highly reccommend working with The Hall at Fauntleroy and the Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes team. Check them out. read more

Our wedding and reception were at the Hall at Fauntleroy this past August. The ceremony was in the Vashon garden and the reception was held in the Emerald Room. Our wedding turned out beautifully and was so much fun! The venue space is beautiful. The Vashon garden has a private feel and the Emerald room has gorgeous exposed brick and a statement light fixture that is eye-catching. We received many compliments on the delicious dinner catered by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes, the exclusive caterer for the Hall. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff were on the day of my wedding. The servers were great at anticipating our needs and made sure to do anything they could to make sure everyone had a great night. I didn't expect to be taken care of so well by the staff! The only downside was that there is no AC. They have multiple, large portable ACs and keep the shades down during the day, however, it was a 90 degree day and once we filled the hall, there was no denying it was warm. That being said, I had such a great experience, I would absolutely recommend the Hall at Fauntleroy to anyone looking to plan a large event! read more
