My roommate shows up to take the class and they won't let her take the class despite showing proof that it was paid for and informing them that the classes were a gift. Then, they wouldn't REFUND the class or allow a reschedule, saying "well technically it's used" even though they didn't let her USE THE PASS. Then the manager comes out and is rude, saying "I'm the manager, this is MY store." Manager is rude. Tried redeeming the classes before the 30 days. Really, they just want to take your money. Don't come!! Save your money! edit: i appreciate the apology and your independent review of the footage. however, it was communicated that the class was a gift for her birthday and when asked if the class could be rescheduled or refunded, it was indicated that it was technically used despite being denied entry. While i appreciate that a refund was offered after sending an email, i too wonder how many clients were turned away from reasonable resolutions. changing the review to 2 stars for the apology and refund. wishing you a good rest of your week and better luck with communications in the future. edit 2: upon further review of the reviews left before, it seems like a common practice to enforce unreasonable attendance policies and citing "camera footage" evidence that only management have access to when confronted with reports of unprofessional behavior. seems at least some staff struggle to treat customers with dignity and respect (as a customer do your own due diligence to deduce why they may treat some customers better than others). all in all, probably better to take classes elsewhere but that's just my opinion.

Classes are tough but accessible and attitudes are encouraging. I am an absolute beginner. (Or I was, a couple of months ago, when I started. Now I'm an absolute-minus-a-whisker beginner!) Not only that, I've never been particularly strong or successful in physical activity, or well coordinated, or confident. This isn't just the first place I felt a complete lack of judgment, but the first place that has actually let me develop physical skills. Never been able to do a push-up before and now I can do a few in a row. Never climbed a rope, but I can (almost!) climb a silk. Something else that really stands out is how much instructors pick up on your movements. Several times, I've been given suggestions about how to improve based specifically on how my body works, like trying something first with my left side because I'm left-footed, or the fact that I have some hypermobility. I knew there was something different about the way I moved, but that's the first time I had a word for it. Believe is a great place to learn. The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging, and accepting. While every class is definitely a workout, it's more like an activity. It's fun and challenging, and writing as someone who has join several gyms and dreaded every workout... For the amount of money we're paying for the classes and the limited time we have, I'd think everyone should have their own poles.

And I've been too many of them. What makes this one special is the attention to detail and the very personal customer service. The studio is extremely clean, I mean, impeccably. All of the towels smell fresh, all of the floors are freshly polished. Everything smells delightful. The sauna is top notch. It has a large infrared light bar, but it also has very strong, infrared light around the sauna otherwise, and on the ceiling of the sauna as well. and this one, you are also able to adjust it to other types of light such as blue, green, Amber, etc.You are also to control your own levels of heat. There is a television with prepaid Amazon prime channels. The Bluetooth speaker inside the sauna is loud and crisp, and of course you can control the levels and channels with the remote. The gentleman who helped me is named Ken. He gave me a nice tour of the studio upon arrival, and then showed me how to operate everything. Made my entire trip worthwhile. While drop-in classes are super expensive ($45 each) I can't imagine how much building rent in LA would be for businesses, so checks out. This was a few months ago from writing this review, but I took classes with Christine, Peppa, and Ran. Some of those instructors don't teach at Jagged anymore, but the quality was consistent across the board. First of all, I would not recommend taking 3 classes in a row. I was excited to be there, and it was my only opportunity to visit during my trip. I love how Jagged utilizes their small space to simultaneously teach pole and aerial or stretch classes. Instructors truly cater to the level of their students. They're SO strong and talented! I found each class to be sufficiently challenging, and the community is wonderful too. I walked out, filled with so much happiness and adrenaline! Make sure to bring plenty of water and arrive early because street parking in Santa Monica is awful. I look forward to coming back to Jagged and trying more classes. There's so many different types and levels--something for everyone. This dance studio is more spacious with 10 X-Poles and mounts on the ceiling for aerial silks and Lyra. There is another room that will be utilized for private lessons as well. They are still working on finishing touches, but the space is already so gorgeous! Love the lighting. Signing up for classes is on Schedulicity.com, but I hear they will be utilizing a new system soon. Plenty of street parking and parking lots in the back and next door plaza. The freshman classes are still more advanced for those who have only taken less than 5 (or no) previous pole classes, but as long as you let the instructor know, they can give you some basic skills to learn. They use mindbody and making reservations online is easy. Free parking lot available. There's 13 poles that do spin. You must bring your own mat. Cubbies are available. I especially enjoyed Candy Cane's freshman pole class, as she pushed us to do our best and taught a fun little routine that we performed at the end of class. Heels are optional. Don't wear lotion to class.
