What a great store for board and trading card games! This is one of the cleanest and most well-maintained gaming establishments I've seen. Even though Screen Free is a bit more family friendly in terms of their overall products compared to other tabletop gaming stores (they have games and puzzles for all ages, not just for fantasy / sci-fi fans), this shouldn't be a reason for the other places to operate without a basic level of tidiness. I would have no problem busting out my decks here for some pick-up games, unlike some other stores I've been to that were just downright NASTY. Nasty as in, even though my cards are all in deck protectors, I still would not be comfortable laying them out on those other places' stained and sticky tables. Yes, thank goodness for personal gaming mats, but then I still gotta clean the bottom of the mats afterward, ya know? Thankfully, I would not have that problem here... I could share some truly horrific experiences at some of those other establishments, but I'll refrain for now. Staff I interacted with were all very friendly too; none of them gave me the vibe of l33t nerd status, which sometimes runs rampant at similar places. The store is located in a shopping mall so there is plenty of free parking. An awesome first experience and will definitely be back for future CCG needs!

I'm not there for story time, or worse yet standing behind someone telling a story with no concept of what usually happens when visiting someone at there place of employment. When other customers arrive you put story time on hold and clear out the customers and go back to the time you stole 4 joints at an Alice Cooper concert. I think friendly staff is essential in customer service. But with that comes the responsibility to know when it's time to work and when it's time to ignore the world. The price is 5-7 dollars more than the other stores I have been told it's because the give back to the community. For myself I would prefer as a life time chronic to have a regular price and choose where I give my extra cash . I wanted to love this store, it's close to my house it does have a unique atmosphere. This is where the one star comes in.
