My cousins and I (13 of us) took a trip out to Breckinridge, Colorado for fun and we decided to hire a private chef to cook dinner for us one of the nights. We had two chefs arrive completely prepared with their own cookware and food to cook. They were very friendly, professional, and respectful. It was such a pleasure to welcome them into our Airbnb. They really made sure that we were comfortable and served well. The leader in me tried to help deliver the plates to the correct people, but they did not let me haha, which was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend booking a private chef through this company. It was such a great experience and let me tell you the food they prepared was PHENOMENAL! Every dish was prepared so well!! We had a great experience planning and enjoying a meal for 12 for a big birthday/family gathering this summer. Jenny provided many appealing options for the menu selection, and back and forth via email was easy and clear. Chef Zach cooked us a wonderful meal that everyone raved about. In particular, guests loved the elk nachos and brown butter scallops, but all the food tasted great. The pricing was more than fair and the evening cost less than what we would have paid for the same meal at a restaurant. Chef Zach was professional and personable. Wanted to do something special since it is challenging to dine at restaurants with an 8month old baby and booked The Happy Cuisiniere. There are a few services in the area but i chose this one because it offered a multi-course and plated experience - as close to dining at a nice restaurant as i could get! Chef Matt was punctual and had everything ready right on time! Not only did he cook up a 4 course meal for us, he also served and cleaned the entire kitchen spotless when he left. Both Jenny and Chef Matt were fantastic! Jenny's communication was prompt, clear and always so helpful leading up to the day of. My friends (12 ppl) came to breck for the weekend and it's so hard to get reservations for that many people somewhere so we decided to have Jenny come out to the house we rented to cook us dinner and she exceeded all of our expectations. My friends and I are still talking about how good the food was and just the overall experience. We started out with elk nachos, meatballs, and shrimp lettuce wraps, everything was so good. I checked out other personal chef services in the area and yours was by far the most reasonably priced & accommodating of all. So happy with the choice! Chef Vanessa, you made the best of our tough kitchen prep space up 3 flights of stairs in a condo & somehow created a scrumptious 4 course meal that we are all still raving about. After toiling non-stop prepping our meal, you topped it off with creating those great breakfast burritos! If you want a great easy breakfast for the day after, don't miss out on inquiring about that option. The local wine pairings were on point. The 2 appetizers we chose I would highly recommend to all -elk nachos -phenomenal! The General Tso's sliders were the perfect balance of sweet & savory. The mixed greens salad with bacon, figs, goat cheese & bacon vinaigrette was absolutely dressed to perfection & I am picky about salads that are too often drowned in dressing. The dual entree recommended by Jenny-OMG the trout was the best ever! That Alabama sauce complimented the flavor of the trout without overwhelming it. My son/in-law is a steak grill master & the Cowboy Coffee Rubbed Ribeye exceeded even his expectations with the perfect mouth-watering char surrounding the juicy, tender medium rare center. Yes, it set off the smoke alarms, but boy was it worth it! The mashed potatoes & kale slaw sides-yum! Topping the night off with the S'mores lava cake -a dessert to remember. Of course the kids loved the spaghetti but devoured lava cake as if they hadn't eaten all night. Again thank you & kudos. Jenny's cooking was the highlight of a weekend getaway. We were doing a bit of a 'planned elopement' (we were already married but enjoying a fun little weekend with family). The family wanted to celebrate by going to a really nice dinner somewhere in Breckenridge. After exploring the menu options and ambiance at a lot of the local restaurants we kinda tripped on the idea of a private chef coming to the amazing house we'd rented and cooking for us. Full disclosure; we also had a 1.5 year old with us so staying home was particularly appealing. Jenny was easy to contact, easy to work with, cheaper than a full dinner at a restaurant would have been (or at least in-line), and she makes some damn incredible food. We browsed her 2018 Winter Menu for options and chose quite a few. I won't dive in to each single piece, but some highlights: Caprese stuffed mushrooms - kind of incredible. They'd make a really great heavy app for a vegetarian group Lobster mac + cheese - we were drunk a little later in the night, much after Jenny had left, and we actually fought over who would get to enjoy these leftovers Earl Grey French Toast - This was the real standout. One of the best things I've ever tasted and we all agreed it was our favorite dessert we'd ever had. It wasn't too sweet and had so much depth of flavor. I know we would not have enjoyed something even CLOSE to this delicious at any restaurant in town. Heck any restaurant in the state! My brother asked me to plan his bachelor party in Breckenridge, then told me he was inviting 17 guests. Are you kidding me :) My dad recommended that we ask Jenny for some help. I have no idea how we would have done it without her. When I arrived on Wednesday, Jenny met me with a big smile and a car full of great stuff from the store. We stocked both houses with groceries -- breakfast basics, mountain grub, easy lunches, alcohol and mixers, bottled water, late night snacks, everything. Everyone arrived later that day and was super impressed. That Wednesday afternoon, she made 40 breakfast burritos -- half bacon, half chorizo -- that we split between the two houses and that fueled our mornings for the rest of the long weekend. These hangover killers were delicious and much appreciated, and starting the day with convenient, high-quality calories was a boon for our trip. She also whipped up a quart of delicious fresh salsa for those burritos. Jenny returned to the house on Saturday afternoon and began preparing the end-of-trip feast to celebrate my brother. The fact that she works the magic she does in unfamiliar kitchens and with other people's tools is really something else. Not to mention that in this case she was cooking for seventeen. Oof. This lady is an amazing chef. Jennifer took on my family reunion after my other caters fell through on short notice. Her calendar is on line so you can see if she is open for your event. She can do small intimate groups, or even our party of 50 went well. She was able to make our menu for a bit less then we were quoted by the bigger company, and the food was outstanding! She made special food for the gluten-free (gf) people. The gf main course of Zoodles and veggies was the one thing there were no leftovers of, we all ate it. The meat balls for the spaghetti in marinara sauce were also gf but none of us could tell they were so tasty. Chicken Alfredo was also great with it's scratch Alfredo sauce. The Caesar salad was very good and the homemade dressing got rave reviews. The croutons on the salad were made from croissants! Yummy. We had grilled asparagus with prosciutto and lemon, it was a hit with all age groups, 1-80's. For dessert she made Cream puffs with vanilla filling. It had a secret ingredient but no one, but possibly me detected it, because it is a favorite of mine and it was so subtle that only a true lover of this flavor could detect it . It's inclusion made the creampuffs very authentically Italian. To say they were heavenly would not be a stretch. One of the youngest children had three of them. She also made these in gluten-free so that everyone could enjoy them. She usually cooks in your home or the kitchen at the event. Our venue did not have a kitchen so she cooked at my house. My house smelled amazing. Please, if you are in Summit county give Jennifer a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

Got an email back saying she could do exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted. She went to the house the day before while they were out and cooked breakfast burritos (accommodating everyones dietary needs) , brought muffins, fruit , and homemade chocolate chip cookies ( son in laws favorite) and left all wrapped up for them for the morning. I got the invoice and was thrilled that it was less than I thought but right on budget. The honesty on price was greatly appreciated. Could have varied because charges were service plus grocery's. I highly recommend this company and have already told all of my friends who have homes in Breckinridge.
