What am I going to do when traveling back to NYC and have no office to work from? Cue Workville and boy did they deliver. The location in mid-town is central to anywhere I need to travel to in NYC. Plenty of food options around and safety is paramount at Workville. Hand sanitizer is available throughout, counters are wiped down constantly, Workville residents respect mask-wearing in public areas. Most importantly, support is on hand at all times with Sue, Sabrina, and DJ. If you ask nice enough, they will even let you play your own personal Spotify playlist so you play DJ for your office mates. I love Workville not just for their office layout, nor the wrap-around outdoor deck from the 21st floor, or the free coffee... it's a vibe. A vibe that I need and crave when I visit NYC. As "Ahnuld" said it best, "I'll be back!"

Fortunately, Bevmax offered very competitive rates and flexible terms, along with everything we needed as a company. The Columbus Circle location was perfect for me and offered very attractive spaces to host clients and hold meetings. I had a private office with generous space, all at rates below what competitors were charging. I contacted Ray and later Samuel Poku regarding a policy issue and requested a copy or reference to the specific written policy being applied. Instead of providing the requested policy language, I was told that a separate detailed policy was not required and that the general rule applied. If a coworking space is going to issue warnings or threaten to terminate a member's access, the standards being enforced should be clearly defined and available in writing. Additionally, when a space advertises 24/7 access, using the amount of time a member spends in the workspace as a point of concern creates confusion unless there are clearly stated limits or guidelines. The back-and-forth communication took significant time away from the purpose of having a workspace. I ultimately decided the membership was not the right fit for my needs and canceled. I would expect a professional coworking space to provide clear policies, transparent communication, and consistent expectations for its members.

I was never informed about this prior to my reservation date/time and I was never given the phone number to call. None of the phone numbers listed at the front desk worked. If that other renter had not been there, I would not have been able to see my paying clients. It was a very disappointing experience. None of the numbers listed on the front desk worked. I called each one to try to find out how to get into my reserved office, which I reserved over 3 weeks in advance. The only person in the office was another renter, leading a group. If he hadn't come out of his room, I wouldn't have had any way to get into the room I reserved and paid for. He called the owner of the space and she remotely let me into the room. Then I got locked out of my room after I walked a client to the elevator. Good thing that same renter was still there and could call the owner to give him the pass of the door lock. My phone and computer were in that room and I would have been ****ed if he wasn't still there. This was the most unprofessional office space I have ever paid for. The office smelled like a cheap NYC massage venue, was incredibly hot, disgusting kitchen. When the other renter called the owner, I had to wait 20 minutes until they got back to him so I could get in the room I paid for. The waiting area and kitchen had no filtered water as described in the listing. The coffee maker -- which was disgusting and not clean -- didn't work and the other renter told me it hasn't worked for a while. The bathroom next door was horribly disgusting and could be smelled in the hallway. If need someplace cheap, this should do. If you need someplace that is even somewhat professional, go somewhere else.
