Recently we were thinking of where to go to lunch after the movies and remembered the Pampered Palate, which we hadn't been to in forever. The sandwiches here are so fresh and have some unique creations. It's not your boring white-bread ham and cheese sandwich, although if you want to be generic by all means go ahead. This place knows how to dress up a sandwich for more adventurous palates. I got the Thanksgiving club- roast turkey, bacon, swiss and cranberry mayo on sweet whole wheat. My mom got the Reuben, and we swapped halves. The breads tasted really fresh, and the cranberry mayo added a nice sweetness to my sandwich that left my mouth watering for more. The only little gripe I have is that the sitting area where you eat/drink your coffee isn't all that inviting. If it had carpet it might feel a little cozier. The cute iron chairs and tables are great, but the tile floor seemed sterile and cold. They also cater- my parents used to get sandwiches for their cross-country skiing parties and said they hold up really well- unlike Subway/similar. The quality of the meats/cheeses are superior than other sandwich shops. When I come home for Christmas, you can bet I'll stop back in! Maybe, just maybe, it's the best arcade that I've been to in the last 40 years! PTA has the largest "open to the public" selection of pinball machines that I've ever seen...this includes the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas and both of the big venues in Pittsburgh. There might be occasional pinball expos, and private collections, where more games are on display...but these are usually not open year round. Rare and cool AF games are everywhere! There are tables from 5, maybe 6, continents! Tables from "every" era in pinball history are represented, IN LARGE NUMBERS, at PTA! And critically, almost all of the games are playable AND are in GREAT CONDITION! I'm not sure how the owner and his team keep this many tables in such good condition, but somehow, it is the case. How about video games? You bet! PTA has over 200 of these. Selection? Lots of rare games and almost all the blockbusters as well. Are they in good condition? Yep. Less than 5 were not operational. Not a single game (that I played) had an issue with the controls or the screen. Amazing. Also cool: There is a fair number (50ish?) of pre-transistor electromechanical games. Many of these were operational, but many, (such a Sega's Periscope) were, unfortunately, not up and running. Still though, it was nostalgic and (maybe even a little) heart warming to see them again. The games are set on "Free Play;" you pay 20 bucks to play all day. You get a wrist band and you can come and go as you please. If you're a kid, it's cheaper. If you're a veteran or a first responder, it's cheaper. Food? Yes. I admit that I didn't eat anything, but the kitchen and diner area sure smelled good! It was also amazing how clean PTA was, even the crapper was spotless. Booze? Yes. I didn't drink but the selection of canned adult beverages looked pretty extensive. Bottom line: I've been to some of the biggest and best arcades (and coin op museums) in the country. Past Times Arcade just might be the best. No shit. 5 Stars.

We saw they had a band playing - it was cold out - so decided to give it a shot. All seats were filled when we got there .. but as soon as a seat opened up .. we grabbed it! The band was great - the beer was good and the pizza was delicious. Will def go back - next time on a nice night when you can enjoy all the outdoor seating that is available too!

The front desk and the housekeeping staff are very friendly and will always smile and say hello or have a nice day as you pass by, a nice touch. The bed is just as comfortable as I remember and I found myself checking the tags on the bedding and pillows so I can buy them- they are very soft and cozy. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are in the area, and it is not too far from Conneaut lake area if that's your thing too. We were trying to find some kid friendly fall activities when we stumbled upon the Port Farms website. We took the (easy) 30 min drive to Waterford and it did not disappoint. We arrived around 11am, an hour after they opened. Plenty of guests were there but the parking area is very well organized and large. We had no issues parking close to the entrance and only waited around 2-3 minutes in line to pay for admission. While we were there my daughter had a blast. We went on the Wagon ride down the trail by the cornfields and she loved all the funny/creative scarecrows along the way. Another big hit was the climbing jungle gym area. She visited that area about 3 times while we were there. The bubble station seemed to be a huge hit with both kids and adults, as those bubbles they were creating were massive. I saw a few flying all the way above the parking lot. Very cool. There's plenty of activities for all ages and some extras with additional fees. We didn't try any of the extras but for a kid her age, what we did was perfect. We did also eat lunch there, over by the massive tire area that kids seemed to love for climbing. The giant pretzel was bigger than my head and my daughter loved her pizza. On our way out we stopped at the store and purchased some of the odd shaped gourds and beautiful little white and mult-colored mini pumpkins to take home. My daughter also had one of the apple cider slushies available within the gift shop at the bakery counter area. It was really good! Lovely fall trip - well worth the money for us to both have a great time while away from home. This is easily one of the best fall harvest type events that I've been to. We got there around 10:00 and the parking was really easy and they had an attendant that showed us where to go. I was able to bring my little wagon into the farm which made going around very easy. If you are a college student and have ID the price of admission is $10 and kids under two are free. So it's an affordable event to go to for as much stuff as they have inside. We immediately went to the corn pit and I had to take my daughter out of it kicking and screaming. The goats were also a big hit but I didn't have a quarter for her to feed them herself. Next time I'll know, bring quarters. She also had a great time in the little kids village where she sat in the rocks with the Tonka trucks and just had a grand time. The slides and the balls were also fun for her. I had to take her out of the basketball area because it was giving me a little bit of anxiety since she's so small. But she loved it. My favorite part was the fresh squeezed lemonade. Just to tell you it's all the way in the back towards the trampoline jumpers. But totally worth it even though I had to ask three people where to go. I even got one for the road. We ended the day buying a few mini pumpkins and a gallon of cider. Overall it was a great day and a great place to spend time with young kids.
