Petite pots of tea. Small bites
    Felacia W.

The Hawthorn is an amazing place to sit and have a traditional pot of tea. The ambiance is so whimsical of being in Hogwarts or pretending you're in Downton Abbey having tea with a friend. The tea selections are amazing and you can choose from a petite pot or a large pot. Macaroons and cucumber sandwiches! It is an amazing tea experience. Sometimes my husband and I go just for after dinner tea. P

Excellent quiet, quaint little Café. Service was outstanding! Very large selection of tea services hot or cold. Walnut danish was wonderful!

I found the duck and sausage gumbo to be incredible. The spice was perfect, for my taste, and I'd order it again in an instant. I also enjoyed the empanadas - they reminded me of Jamaican beef patties, and I really enjoyed them. Their preparation of red snapper was perfect, in my opinion. Their draft options are limited, but the staff was very helpful in choosing other drinks. They had two different bartenders in my visits, and I believe both tried very hard to make me happy, even though I was just a random walk-in. They had quite a few locals who got to-go orders during my visits, and everyone seemed very happy with their food. Desserts are all homemade, and are good, and very large, even if not what I would traditionally call by the same name. Bread pudding was outstanding, but the cannoli was closer to what I would call a creme horn. In all, I would certainly return, and strongly recommend the duck/sausage gumbo. I'm

The country boil was the Friday's special and I also treated myself to some Boudin egg-rolls and Crab claws. I furnished the claws with tartar and cocktail sauce. The place was cool
