It was exciting reading the 5-star reviews and seeing photos of the beautiful apartments. We contacted SkylinePMG to inquire, and they worked with us and our move-in schedule. From that moment on we felt like family. The property managers Kay, Bruce, and Kash really care about their tenants and take amazing care of us and the property. The building maintenance crew are very quick to respond to any issues: Either a major appliance needing repair or a minor faucet adjustment, you can count on a fast response and quality work! Two-plus years later in this wonderful apartment we've called home, we have always felt taken care of and a welcome part of the community. This is a place where your neighbors say "Hello" and you have the chance to make good friends - like the members of The Cat Sitters Club, which we formed using posts on the Community Bulletin Board. We've also enjoyed the maintained Community Garden in the courtyard that was started by the property managers for the tenants. The garden has produced fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs. You get so many benefits from living here. They even installed charging stations in the parking lot for electric vehicles after they saw a need. However, when we arrived, they tried to send us on a self-guided tour, claiming that this was my request -- which is simply not true. I did have questions, as discussed in advance, but there was no one available to help. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or trying to resolve the situation, the staff chose to blame me and offered no real help. This level of miscommunication and lack of accountability is frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend based on this experience.

The important key to all of this lies directly with the Property Manager, Charlie. I can't say enough about him. He's professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to get to know his tenants. He not only successfully manages everything, he anticipates and tailors things to make each individual feel this is home as well as a community. He exemplifies what a property manager should be. The office staff and maintenance are very friendly. They even accept packages for you if you are at work and keep them in the office till you can pick them up. The location is great for me and the hubby as I work in SF and he works in the South Bay. I love San Mateo itself and being here you can get to all parts without driving on 101. I can even walk to the farmer's market at CSM on Weds or Sat or to Piazza/Safeway for groceries. We are lucky enough to have an end apartment on the third floor with a great view of the bay and the San Mateo Bridge. On clear days we can see the East Bay. Fireworks on the 4th were fun to watch. As mentioned, there is a pool, sauna (never used it though) small weight room, extra storage and covered gated parking. We originally had a 1 bedroom and when our family expanded we were able to move to a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath over 1000 sq ft. There are lots of closets which I of course have filled.

Every time I've gone into the office she always helps me out and if she can't she gets the person who can. This is a nice sized community and she sees so many people daily and every time I see her in the office or we pass outside she always greets me by my name. I wouldn't expect her to remember my name but she does and it's a nice personal touch. The maintenance crew David and Fidel are the absolute best. They are fast to respond whether it's a big or little problem. They always have a smile when they come in. They do great work and fix it right the first time. The apartments are spacious and get great natural light. Plus there is plenty of storage space. Each building has a laundry room with nice machines and the price to wash and dry is good. The price and the machines are so much better than the laundromat. The hallways are kept clean. They did landscaping improvements and there are nice places to sit outside. The 2 pools are wonderful in the summer. I looked at a lot of apartments when I was moving and I'm so happy I chose to live here. Nice apartments and amenities and the staff are top notch.
