This is a hipster brunch cafe based on American diner bites meets Canadian hunting lodge decor…read more There's quirky moose decor all over including funny military historic portraits made over with moose faces. The menu is massive featuring many variations on Eggs Benedict served on a bagel, plus pancakes, waffles, French toast, and other hearty American breakfast bites. They also serve more brunch bites like sandwiches, burgers and breakfast burritos. I ordered the Fab Five Freddy which was a sandwich with a hamburger patty, pulled pork and an egg on top, served with their potato hash, a grilled tomato and a dill pickle. It was delicious. I also ordered the chocolate and peanut butter milk shake (£3), which was delicious but could have been colder and thicker. My fiance ordered the breakfast burrito which I tried a bite of, which had way more fillings than a standard California breakfast burrito like olives, but it was really good too. His family came with us and loved their dishes too; they've been before and took us here. The only downside is this place is popular meaning when we came, they were out of a lot of items like French toast, waffles, bagels (and most of the menu items are served on a bagel), and a few other items too. Plus, they tout their specials of the day, so I asked about those, but the special was... They're out of a lot of things! Plus, we ordered a dime bar milk shake, and the waitress returned to say they are out of daim bars too.

I don't really know what moose and coffee have in common, to be honest. One is furry and horny…read more(ahem), whereas the other is hot and drank by millions around the world. Maybe if you milk a moose, coffee comes out. Somehow I doubt it, though. When I first saw Moose Coffee, I expected it to be just another Starbucks or Nero clone, offering posy coffee flavoured milkshakes at expensive prices. However, when I actually ventured inside and looked at the menu, I realised that perhaps my assumptions were wide of the mark. Offering an 'American diner influenced breakfast and brunch experience', Moose Coffee has a fairly decent selection of hot drinks available for your enjoyment without going to mocha-locca-latte-crazy like its rivals. They also offer a small selection of fruit juices and milkshakes, all of which are reasonably priced and refreshing. Their breakfast menu offers a wide variety of interesting takes on the traditional English cooked breakfast, including the 'Smoked Moose' (scrambled eggs and salmon) and the 'New York Moose' (eggs Benedict), all of which pose an attractive alternative to toast or cereal. Their breakfast prices are perhaps a little more expensive than your usual greasy spoon, but Moose Coffee is well worth a visit if you're in the area.

They aren't serious golfers, but they are always ready to have fun. This place has a pitch and putt that is super fun! And just $5 ea! It's great for all ages and abilities. The greens are artificial, so temper your expectations, but you still have to hit creative shots! The best thing about this place is the staff! the pro shop guys are unreal friendly and they make it fun and accessible for everyone! They will give you free rental clubs and free balls for the pitch and putt. I've been playing fir about 30 years and have never met a better staff. They took care of us, even though we weren't locals, they treated us so good. It really made our trip. The previous day we went to riyal Liverpool for the 151st open championship(amazing!!!), but we got absolutely drenched. This was a great way to end the trip. And just 7 pounds for 100 balls, great prices!

The driving range is good (although some bays do lack tee's) and the pro-shop is well stocked. However the gem of this whole place is the 9 hole pitch and putt course. It is set out like a mini championship course with proper doglegged holes, bunkers, water, everything!

They prefer you make an appointment, mostly so they have a table big enough for all of your goodies (should you choose to have the proper afternoon tea, which includes lots of different items). We arrived on Friday for our reservation at 1 pm and there were two or three other groups there. The place is charming, with that homemade feel. They offer several options for afternoon tea, ranging from about £5 for a cake/scone and tea, to around £15 for the finger foods and lunch options. I opted for the former and had a scone with grapes (they were out of plain scones) and lemon ginger tea. My wife had the same scone with chamomile. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food and the lovely service we were given. They have more than just tea. They make proper cakes and serve breakfast and lunch, as well as offer unique specials. This is place is a must try!

It may be somewhat hidden down St Johns Road, but their tables are always full of diners whenever I go past, which is always a good sign for such a small establishment. Interestingly, they also offer free wi-fi internet (no doubt in an attempt to swing those Starbucks fans who like internet access with their cup of coffee) as well as access to a photocopier, scanner and fax machine. Quite what the old dears in there would want with a fax machine, I don't know, but it's a nice touch nonetheless. The food there is all very tasty and reasonably priced for what it is, meaning the Copper Kettle is a lovely place to go for a cup of tea or for a spot of lunch or dinner.

A building site and the promise of an even larger Sainsbury's. Excellent. Anyway, I was delighted to discover that the Copper Kette had opened up in new premises on St John's Road, this is not really the best location aesthically and the shop looks a little pitiable externally, however, Copper Kettle's doing well down in Waterloo. The cafe is nice inside and continues to offer the same hearty breakfast and lunch meals. The staff are really pleasant locals and welcome everyone with a smile.
