Like the other one star reviews I too felt that the service was crazy rough both the massage and the hair treatment. I have thin fine straight hair. When I left it was so matted and frizzy I was dumbfounded. I have no idea how they managed to mess up my hair so bad. My body was sore for a week. My daughter and I had our appointment yesterday - LOVED it! This was our 2nd time - once in Chantilly and then this one in Fredericksburg. Both were very good. The room has low level music which is nice. Just close your eyes and relax. Head massage is super relaxing. I have a sensitive head so at times it felt like she was pulling hair out but I have a low pain tolerance so it's not a 'ding' against the young woman doing my treatment. I came here on my birthday and booked the Luxe Full Body Experience which included a 60 minute massage followed by a 60 minute premium scalp treatment. Upon arrival, the spa was very clean and decorated nicely. I was greeted by two workers when I entered. They checked me in and confirmed my services and when did the camera to my scalp. I was taken back to a private room for my treatment. It was spacious, clean and quiet. I was given privacy to undress to my underwear for my massage. Massage was great and included the use of oil, hot stones, hot towels and great pressure. Most of the time it was focused on my back and neck but my buttocks, legs and arms also received treatment. The table was very comfortable. After an hour, I was turned over and prepped for my scalp treatment. A blanket was provided on top of the sheet which was used during my massage. A self heating eye mask was applied and a dry massage plus brushing with tools began. My hair was washed twice. I'm not sure what was used but the first product smelt like apricots and the second like honey. There was a bit of a burning sensation but it wasn't uncomfortable, just noticeable. Not only was my scalp treated but so was my neck and upper body. It was so relaxing. We finished off with some hot water that my hair soaked in and it smelt like chamomile tea. My hair was then brushed gently and blow dried to my liking. My hair felt soft and shiny. For all that was provided, it's amazing the price is only $140. read more

Went in for a head spa and it was AMAZING. The staff were kind, gentle, attentive, and professional. I don't know why the negative comments on here. They explain to you each product and what it does/what it feels like. The negative comments about it being too hot are ppl that are too sensitive.. it literally feels like Icy Hot when it gets hot nothing crazy. Let me start off by saying THEY'RE NOT LICENSED TO BE DOING ANYTHING WITH HAIR!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This was super out of my comfort zone to even go and do because nobody knows how to deal with long, thick curly hair and they reminded me of why I am the way I am with my hair. They start off with a massage that is entirely to rough. Then they will wash your hair and they use Dr. Bronners Castile soap which is NOT supposed to be used on hair. It's used as an all purpose cleaner for your house and to do laundry. They also use tea on your hair.. tea that you drink!! I left the salon in tears because my hair was so extremely matted!! I spent 6 whole days and countless hours in the salon having my hair dematted. My hair was down to my butt and when I left my hair was matted up to my shoulders!! I lost so much hair during the dematting process. My hair is nowhere near as thick as it was and I had to cut off about 5 inches because my hair was dead. I went in the salon the next day and the lady that matted my hair was working there still and was in the middle of doing the service to someone else.. not only was my hair extremely matted I had chemical burns on my scalp from whatever they used. Halfway through the spa treatment the lady lifted my eye mask up and showed my a conditioner bottle and told me not to buy this for my hair because it wasn't good for my hair and that it made it tangled and told me she was going to get a different conditioner to use on my hair. At this point, she knew she fucked my hair up and continued on with the service. Any LICENSED PROFESSIONAL (they are not) would have known what to do but instead they continued and made it worse. When she got back I told her to let me brush my own hair because I know my hair and I felt more comfortable doing it myself. She refused and started brushing my hair starting at my scalp which also made it worse. To top it all off, at this point I'm freaking out and just wanted to leave. I told her to stop touching my hair and that I was just gonna go! I had to yank the brush out of her hand and force her to let me get up off the table. She called the owner and he tried to get me stay and let them fix it. I said absolutely not and told them I was going to a professional. DO NOT EVER GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR MONEY. read more

I found Head Space by accident while looking to get a steak dinner after traveling I-95. I'm a guy, so I chose the full body massage with scalp treatment. I was able to finally relax and begin centering on my own health needs. The therapists were attentive and professional. The place is clean; it's new. I try hard to keep stress levels down due to their impacts on hormone levels, aging, and stresses leading to hypertension, weight gain, heart attacks or worse. We only have one life and one body. The most uncomfortable spa service I have ever had. The person was very rough. It was not relaxing. She kept telling me to relax, but my head was burning from the product and her nails were digging into my head painfully. I kept trying to address her with my concerns & she kept saying relax.
