I went there yesterday for my first time and was blown away by the amazing customer service; from the receptionist, to the other stylists who greeted me and then I met Allie who was my stylist. I have never met such a warm, caring and professional stylist in my life. we spoke at length to make sure she could envision exactly what I wanted, she talked me through the whole process and her fellow stylist, Nicole whose booth is next to us even helped out for a bit. I was a client at Salon Voss for years, close to 5 if not longer. Recently Ive had the worst experience ever. Gina, is the reason I will never return that along with the fact that the owner, Tom has not responded to the 5 calls Ive made. She butchered my hair to the point of me being in tears in the chair. I asked what she was doing and she abruptly stopped and walked away getting another sytlist. No remorse, no apology. Ive never experienced a salon visit like this especially from Salon Voss. A few days back I had an appointment with Skyler Link to have her work her magic on my hair. As I have aged my red hair has turned dull and washed out looking.. She spent the time to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I had requested Deeper red Low light and Golden High lights and a fresh stacked look that would be manageable for my busy schedule. Due to my last experience I just wanted to make sure people know how unprofessional this salon was to me. I have done my hair color for years all by myself and I just wanted my hair longer. After a quick search I decided to check the price with this salon. I went to get extensions (tape-ins) on my hair and at first everything looked beautiful, though what I really wanted couldn't be done I came out with purple hair and pink highlights. I was advised not to wash my hair for the max 2 days.. so I didn't. After a gym session on the third day I went to wash my hair and a bunch of my extensions simply fell out and my pink highlights went purple. I do color on my hair, gradient colors to be specific this should not have happened, I did everything right, cold water, safe color shampoo on the roots and conditioner ONLY at the ends. The salon's solution was to just put them back in and a week later I came back for a color correction, only the pink extensions should come out but again was noticed that my extensions were slipping out after only washing 2 times. I had to have all extensions removed and by removed my extensions got yanked out of my hair, the solution that removes the glue did not have enough time to act so they took all extensions out like that, by pulling. After the extensions were put back in, a week later I washed my hair and the pink is all gone again, this was my 4th time washing my hair, and surprise surprise my actual hair is now going from purple to white, my pink extensions are now purple again and I decided I will not be going there for color again. So I call to ask the manager for a refund ONLY FOR THE COLOR. His answer to me was that he could maybe give me half of the refund for color but that I have no idea how color works, in the phone call he also gaslighted me like the fault of all of this is mine, they did nothing wrong, even when I questioned him about the falling of the extensions he would still say they did nothing wrong. I decided I am coming in to speak to him in person, since he claims all this mistakes are mine I want him to clarify why.. All he did was speak over me.. his answer to me was " NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOU, STEP A FOOT IN MY SALON AND I AM CALLING THE COPS." Less than 20 minutes later he is sending me a $520 refund for the color after speaking to me in the worst way ever. I asked for other hairstylists opinions and all they said is badly done tape ins will fall out and good hair dye should not just keep bleeding like that, so was definitely a lesson but they really don't care about the clients I paid for over 2k for my hair, completely regret. I got my hair colored and asked for something very simple. When I got home I noticed all the color lines all over and when I told the manager she told me the owner would call me but it's been a week and I haven't heard anything from any of them. The stylist was very nice but she was busy and even asked the assistant to finish my foils. Im very disappointed in the service I received and even more disappointed in the way the owner handles the business. I included photos for reference and also a photo of what I asked for and what I received. Update: the owner called me back after a week of waiting and didn't even offer a refund. She told me that the "assistant" was an apprentice and that it was common practice for them to "help" or "finish" with color applications. My frustration with this is that I'm paying the price for a master stylist, not an apprentice. I paid $375 for this service and my hair is so over processed it won't hold color and the lines are almost impossible to keep covered. Overpriced and Rude. Went in for a new color aa I was unhappy with my previous salon. Sara at the front desk is rude. I saw a stylist and the color was completely opposite of what I asked for. I was so unhappy she added three foils to the back of my hair to change the color before I left. Paid 392 for this visit. Crazy, what was I thinking. Went back to them for a correction with a new stylist. According to the salon this visit was "free" interesting nothing is free and they were trying to fix their mess up. Not to mention my hair was so irreparably damaged the new stylist could only do part of the original job. The third visit they charged me 300$ even though this visit should've been covered as well seeing as how only half the job could be completed. I got taken by this place. Loved my stylist. She is absolutely brilliant. I want to warn those who are considering coming here, they have a very expensive cancelation policy. I called a day in advance in extend my appointment as I dont need a cut. I was told I will need to leave $50 deposit for my next session as I am cancelling in 24 hours. After spending over $1000 in the last year at this salon the customer experience and consideration for repeat service should have been considered. If you are thinking on getting your hair done with them THINK TWICE, DONT DO IT! Second picture was sent to them via email before hand as an idea of style wanted; the other pictures is what we got. I was told that it was going to take 45 min to an hour. Spent a hour and a half waiting for my daughter when I decided to go in and check on her. To my surprise Olivia (the stylist) had no clue what she was doing. She did not had the skills to do something like that. After I asked what was happening, and many excuses from the "stylist" she decides to say that she was not going to be able to achieve what we wanted. Not only that, nothing was done to resolve the issue. Nothing! The braid was poorly done and the ponytail was falling apart. It was a complete disaster! Nobody in the salon pitched in to help with my daughter's hair, but everyone made sure to make me feel bad by looking at me and my daughter and gossip between them. There was no accountability. The owner should be ashamed of letting a stylist do something that they are not ready for. No owner or manager came to talk or apologize to me, only the lady at front desk; they just decided not to charge. It was very unprofessional. I was left to go home and fix it my self. I have naturally curly hair.. so after going for the short Halle Berry haircut done by the Haircuttery While I was in college low key scarred me for years. We found an amazing stylist at another local FXBG who let me bring my daughter and also cuts her hair while I'm processing. Her cute and cozy salon is warm and inviting. We social distance, wear masks, and she is extremely well behaved and enjoys her mommy and me time at the salon. I made the appointment initially at your salon based on the stylists Insta reviews, but after actually seeing your cold salon I'm very glad we never stepped past the receptionist desk. read more

Good quality products are always used on my hair and I can tell that she and the other stylists really care about the health of their clients hair. (As a natural grey, I color my hair a vibrant red every 5 weeks) Salon Voss has the colors and tools they need to pull off anything...from something simple to something vibrant and unique. I love that the salon invests in the education of the stylists...these guys are definitely not fresh out of school and then just hung out to dry. All of these things should be considered when choosing a salon and comparing prices. Terrible. The stylist kept having the owner come over, like something was wrong and assured me it was "looking great" after she kept adding color, and finally rinsed, the owner said to the stylist "you just have to ask for help when you get caught up like that" NOT something a client wants to hear. I did not get the color, or cut I paid for, and I spent $220.00 and 7.5 hours in the chair. I didn't want my hair curled, but she insisted. My hair has never felt so damaged and fried on the ends. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend this place to anyone else. Today was the first time I got a wax and I don't think I could've gone through with it unless it was for their specialist Naomi. She was so patient and gentle. Not only that, she made me feel very comfortable for my first time and her sense of humor definitely helped with the little bit of pain I felt for it being my first time. I don't wanna leave a bad review because the stylist that did my hair is very nice but I just wanted to share my experience. I'm a return client, always on time, never cause any issues, I tip well (cash) every time and tip the shampoo girl. I had an appointment on Tuesday for a partial highlight and cut. I ended up doing something different and cut 8 inches off my hair which is a big difference for anyone. Of course she did a good job with my highlights and my hair looked good after being blowdried and styled by a professional. Wednesday when i got up and styled my hair on my own i realized i wasn't happy with the length. I paid $170 for a partial highlight (cuts are free with a color service they said) so I called Wednesday at 5 (a day later) and asked if i could come back in at a discounted rate (not looking for a free service) to get a few more inches off and they said 'since you left happy and said she did a good job you would have to schedule a regular appointment'. But if i said she didn't do my cut right and complained im sure they would have accommodated me. I could have said i told her i didn't want my hair resting on my shoulders sticking out which is exactly how she cut it but i didnt. You dont get a salon style blowout everyday at home doing your own hair. Everyone knows that. m not happy with the customer service so i wont be back honestly. I went in based on many recommendations from locals, and I ignored the bad reviews solely based on the portfolio of the master artists there I could tell it was worth going. I was quoted $160-180 for a balyage on the phone. I was quite clear with the state of my hair BEFORE the quote. In addition, they require a $50 deposit for appointments (which is deducted from your total after the service). That was new to me, and a little strange... but I went through with it. Upon arrival, I told my stylist what I wanted. She said it would look great! She said it would look nice and cool for the summertime. Not once did she state, "I don't think I can get you that light today, did you still want to do this type of color" or anything of that sort. I was under the impression I would get what I asked for or very close. Then, she walked away to give me a more accurate quote. I WAS QUOTED BETWEEN 340-360$ FOR A BALYAGE. That is outrageously priced. I was in a time crunch for an event, and I was happy with the portfolios I had seen online, so I went through with it because good hair is worth it (i'm not sure about 300+ though...). Long story short.... I spent 4 hours in the chair (not complaining about the time, I know it takes a while). When the lightener was washed out BEFORE toner, I immediately noticed it looked very similar to what I already had when I walked in. So, concerned, I asked my stylist "is this as light as it will get? I wanted a looooot lighter than this" and she assured me the toner would lighten it. So I trusted her, and we toned my hair. Once that was done, she told me she would blowdry a section for me to see if it was the color I wanted. And wow.... not only was it no where near the color I asked for.... it wasn't even the service I asked for. I literally looked like I had gotten highlights and lowlights. I will not lie, my stylist was quite talented, it did look beautiful, and it was blended perfectly. It definitely doesn't look bad. But it is nothing like what I asked for... especially at such a high price point. So I was honest, I said I didn't like it, I wanted my tips a lot lighter. Next thing I know I have 2-3 other stylists coming up to me trying to convince me it looks great and its simply not possible to get what I asked for the first time. I get that. However, it was not comminicated to me, and i'm upset that no one is offering to fix it. I explained I can not afford to come back, especially with prices like those. One of the stylists offered to do more highlights (again, not what I want) for free. I was just frustrated at this point, so I took it and left. It really does look beautiful, but it is EXTREMELY overpriced, and not what I asked for at all. I simply look like I got highlights. Made an appointment on line as I was recommended to a particular person at this salon - which is an hour away - but I thought I would give it a try as she was recommended. I made my appointment indicating what I wanted and received a call back, I guess to officially set the appointment. I asked for a cut and style with low lights but was not sure what color I actually wanted - so the person setting the appointment up scheduled me with a cut and style and said I would consult with the stylist about color when I came in. I arrived and was sitting in the chair and the stylist looked at my hair and we discussed what my thoughts were and she went in the backroom and came back out several mins. later with several pictures for me to look at. I picked the one I liked and she said she needed to go and calculate a price. She came back and gave me a price - I said ok (though it was high). She then started saying her next available appointment for a color was later in the week - this stumped me a little but I went with the flow - maybe I misunderstood when I booked - so no color today so getting ready for cut and style - so I thought - only to have her come back and say "Cut in Style is in the cost of the color - do you want to just come back and do it all in the same appointment?" Now I am upset - so no color and now she is trying to get me out of her chair - figuring she does not want to work - I get up and walk to the desk to set an appointment up for later in the week - We go back and forth on dates and times - being that I am an hour away I can not do during the week as I work and when I go to work I expect to work the full day and not dictate or fluff people off - so I asked about a Saturday - well the girl that was recommended to me can not do it on Saturdays but they can put me with another person - who is a step above her - so price may change and by the way I need to book the appointment and give them $50 to hold it - so I drove 1 hour to get here and I got jerked around for 30 mins and then get booted out cuz she did not feel like working and I now have to drive an hour back home and they want me to pay them for wasting my time and nothing to show for it - NO NOT HAPPENING AND YOU CAN BET NO BUSINESS FROM ME EVER AND I WILL TELL THE PERSON WHO RECOMMENDED ME TO THIS PLACE IT SUCKS AND ANYONE WHO ASKS IT SUCKS - I NORMALLY ALLOW THINGS TO ROLL (I am so not a Karen) BUT THIS WAS JUST TOO MUCH read more

One of my friends worked at the salon and I went in to see her. She is awesome per usual. I also got some hair products. Well the the hair products made my hair super greasy. And I only used it once. So I had the receipt and the bottle and I went to take it back. I was told that they don't accept returns on the products. I paid alot of money for this product. Who doesn't accept returns on the products they sell in there store?!?! I was furious and I made a scene and the owners bf or whatever. Pretty much tried to shut me up by taking the product back and giving me my money back and all the while trying to save face. I haven't set foot back in that establishment since. I've waited to post this review. I had been going to Salon Voss for about a year and was pretty happy with the results, although I thought they were out of their minds with the prices they charge. I paid less in Manhattan for a cut and color. I took a little break from the salon because I was out of state for a while. When I called to make an appointment they asked for A BOOKING DEPOSIT. Uh, no. I don't DO booking deposits. And as an existing customer who had never missed (or been late to) an appointment, this is absurd to me. They also quoted me a price (I don't remember exactly what it was, to be honest) that was high, but palatable. They made the appointment without a deposit. And my original stylist, whom I loved, no longer works there, so I went with another of their "master stylists". (I have no idea what qualifies them as "master stylists" other than maybe upselling their services. The quality of the service certainly didn't indicate it. But more on that later.) When I got there, they started upselling me from the second I walked through the door. The receptionist wanted to sell me a "membership" that would get me a discount on services and invitation to their "events". I'm sorry, I'm not interested in "events". Those events are just an opportunity to sell me MORE stuff I don't want or need. I got to the chair and the stylist once again tried to sell me a membership. No thank you. No means no. Don't keep asking. He must have asked me another four times. JUST STOP!!! I don't want to come to your events; I'm not interested in your overpriced products; I don't want samples of your crap. He also quoted me a price that was significantly more than I was quoted on the phone. I should have gotten up and walked out then, but I needed a haircut. Staying in the chair was a big mistake. If I ended up with a decent cut and color for a decent price, I could have overlooked the hard sell. No such luck. My hair is very short (less than 2" long) and most of the color had grown out, so it was pretty much cut off. They charged me for a "color correction" (huh?) and I ended up with the second worst haircut of my life! HORRIBLE. The whole time he was cutting, he had me turned AWAY from the mirror and was distracting me with their "video wall" of chi-chi stylists, none of whom work at that salon. To make things even worse, the cut has grown out into an even more awful mess. And decent price? Um...no. $230 later (plus tip) and having to listen to a constant sales pitch? Methinks NO, never again. When I got to the register, the receptionist tried once again to get me to buy a membership. NO. JUST NO. And then the stylist tried to sell me product. I told him that I still had color shampoo remaining from the last time I was there. He said, "oh, that really doesn't work with color." Well, why the heck did YOUR salon insist that I buy it last time? Hmmm...sounds fishy to me. The moral of the story -- they may be flashy and edgy and cool, but they stink at providing their core service -- a decent cut and color for a fair price. Stay away. I've had my eyebrows microbladed at this location several times and it truly was one of the best decisions I've ever made. They do such an amazing job and the eyebrow shape is nothing less than perfect. This service has made my life much easier as I don't have to spend 10 minutes a day penciling them in. I recently went back to add hair extensions, which I've always been apprehensive about. I have very thin hair so I had concerns about the extensions being too heavy (which would damage what little hair I have) and I had concerns about my hair looking unnatural. Salon Voss really took the time to walk me through the process and explain what they would do differently with me to ensure that my concerns did not become a reality. They completely catered to my specific needs. My hair turned out better than I could have imagined and I love my extensions! You know I really had high hopes when I went into salon Voss. I wore my work shirt which sparked conversation about my business. I was quoted $190 for a full highlight and cut from their platform stylist. I admit I wasn't specific of what I wanted but I knew I wanted to go blonde. No suggestions were made just you have to decide. I asked about the ombré and rushingly said let's do that. She went over and got a price quote of $550!! I am pretty sure my jaw hit the floor. I expected $250 , tops 300. I told them I was not good with that at all and told them how shocked I was. The stylist seemed so annoyed with me. She came back and gave me a price for $450 for a full highlight! She said "well... I can find you another stylist. I I am a platform stylist sooo. " ... okay.. cool get another stylist. A price of $190 to $450 is a HUGe price increase. Then shortly the manger shows up to tell me they don't have anyone else but would and agree to take $40 off because " after all we want to keep you happy " Then she asks I am okay with that ? When I hesitated for literally 10 seconds , the stylist blurts out " you need to decide like right now" . I painstakingly agreed and hoped I wouldn't be disappointed. The whole time I felt the tension with her and she made comments about knowing her I am a business owner. Telling me I need to be the face of the business and invest into myself . ( I am positive the dogs don't care about my hair). All in all it was not a "wow!" Definitely not worth the price or pushy overpriced services.
