I'll start with the positives ,the staff were top notch as always, and the music was great. Early in the night, the ratio of couples to single men felt balanced, and we knew going in what the atmosphere would likely be.Unfortunately, as the night went on, more single men arrived and some did not understand or respect "no." We had multiple pushy interactions, and one particular guy repeatedly followed us around the club after we clearly said we weren't interested. We'd move to another area upstairs, and somehow he would appear again. That completely killed the vibe for us.What really sealed it was when we decided to leave early and walk back to our nearby hotel. Another man we had never even spoken to came running out of the club asking where we were staying and if we were coming back. At that point, the atmosphere no longer felt comfortable.Overall, we still believe Colette is a great club and this experience did not reflect our previous visits there. If you're a couple going for the first time, we would strongly recommend attending on a couples night instead of single men's night, because the environment can feel very different and may give the wrong impression of the club overall.

How do you charge $100 for men and $10 for women. This is sexual discrimination. Fuck you people.read more

This is holistic establishment. Mocktails are infused with all types of herbs and all natural ingredients. They serve non-alcoholic liquor (example: BARE tequila) so the mocktails really do have the liquor taste without the negative side-effects. They also have egg rolls (try the brisket), made fresh to order. Favorite thing to try was the oxygen machine where you breath in purse & scented oxygen. They had a rosemary type send and another with lavender & lemongrass. You have these non evasive tubs that were surprisingly comfortable that go into your nose. I definitely felt refreshed afterwards. My girl and felt a real difference in our bodies after a night in NOLA & it improved our moods (mainly hers ) towards each other. Avi helped us out and gave great service. Rectified an issue we had with 5 star service Cherry on Top: military discount. *chef's kiss* thank you for recognizing our service members Love this place. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in NOLA. ‍‍

The owner David is such a delightful and super knowledgeable about spiritual and wholistic wellness. I really enjoyed the conscious cocktail I had. One was the lavender dreams I believe and it was quite delicious. I also really enjoy the oxygen bar as a relaxing mindfulness moment.

The staff is great and very patient with the drunks in front of you...because you're never that person, right? The restrooms are older but clean and they have sinks. Washing your hands on the parade route makes me feel like the Queen of England, so fancy. The snacks are those that appeal to the kids: hotdogs, nachos, blowpops but maybe that's your carnival diet. And this year they actually had a liquor license so had a selection of alcohol for sale, church fair style. (What do you mean your church fair didn't sell liquor? Hmph.) Love the work they do and appreciate that they allow me to crash their party for a bit each year.

In fact, my Aunt, Alice Padel worked initially for Rutter Rex and then she went on to own her own manufacturing facility on Magazine Street named SegMar. This facility made uniform blouses, fashionable blouses, and dungarees. My Aunt Claire sewed and worked with my Aunt Alice at this facility as well. I lived in Gentilly and every time we had a hurricane, our family went to SegMar and we slept on top the fabric cutting tables. Those cutting tables and sewing machines were donated to Strive by my Aunt Alice. In fact, her photo is on the wall as a Director. I still have many carnival souvenirs that were made by the students who went to school at this facility. Those students who work there are the unsung heroes. This is a wonderful place to get a snack on Mardi Gras weekend. What a great way to show support for those less fortunate. The staff will be friendly, they always are! If you need something put together for carnival, you may hire these students. A WIN/WIN
