We were provided a cheap, but working oscillating desk fan. We werent moved rooms due to "unavailability". The last few days of our stay, the airconditioning came sort of online, which was better than no air circulation. The rooms are TINY. We reserved a double bed room. We were assigned a room with 1 full size bed and a pull out couch. Staff had to bring the bedding for the pullout. We had 3 adult sized people in this room. It wouldnt be a big deal if we werent charged full price for less than full accomodations. The bathroom was clean and okay. The tall people in my group suffered in the short shower, but I had no trouble...LOL. Free breakfast! That motivated my 3 star review. It was local food choices and cooked very well! The bar was fun too!

The shower was small and hard to move in. It was fine for 1 night but I wouldn't want to stay longer than that.

We stayed in the main facility because it had a lift. The room was smaller by US standards, but very comfortable and very clean. We stayed in a room with two twins that were very comfortable and had a nice comforter on them. The rooms were very well lit and included a wall mounted reading light for each bed. The flat screen had a large channel selection, was wall mounted and easily viewable from the beds. The bathroom was also well lit, very clean and had a shower that included decent quality body wash and shampoo that was wall mounted. Our room package included the free breakfast. There was a hot selection of eggs cooked in a variety of ways, bacon (Canadian style), sausage, beans and tomatoes. There were also a variety of cereals, baked goods and fresh fruit. Everything was being monitored by several attendants so food never ran low and tables were cleared very quickly. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I also had a fab time with my friend and her friends despite the foul ups. The problems with the staff started almost from the very beginning. I would say most people were seated by around 3:10pm but at this time the prosecco bottles for the bottomless mimosas still hadn't arrived. My friend's friends had to start inquiring and bottles were finally placed on the table about 3:30. At this point, for those who had ordered, STILL hadn't gotten our appetizers. Waiters told us "it's coming, it's coming." At this point the restaurant wasn't even that crowded so I'm flabbergasted as to what the holdup was and can only attribute to incompetence. The staff also did.not.seem.to.understand the basic instructions on getting multiple carafes of water for our side of the table; rather they kept refilling the same carafe which obviously went quickly among six women on my side of the table!!! Rather we kept getting carafes of juice, which of course cost something. Cheeky eh? When our mains arrived, about 4:15pm or so there were also issues. My rosti was lukewarm and the woman across from me had a burnt burger bun and her burger was cold, as was the friend across from her. I saw a waiter take it away and make a scowling face in the back with his other colleagues (a tall,blond guy) which is outrageous considering YOUR kitchen is messing up! With the delayed start, one of the waiters had the audacity to try to stop the bottomless aspect right at 4:45 but thankfully some friends explained and the bottomless brunch continued. However, with all these delays, my friend lost her rooftop bar reservation slot. This is just another indicator of the rubbish (I would say much stronger words here if I could) "service" this establishment offers as my friend was penalized for the restaurant screwups. Desserts also arrived much later. My friend had a surprise birthday cake. When it came to pay, a sweet but what I can only think of as an incompetent young woman (brunette, slim, ponytail and accent) gave my friend the bill, which was quite confusing. My friend gritted her teeth and explained she had given the restaurant a spreadsheet with everyone's costs broken down and could she please use that. The dim server seemed very confused. In the end, my friend somehow ended up paying £80 or so worth of service charge when she should have paid far less for the appalling service. South Hotel, shame on you. This is another reminder to me, as a US expat, how AWFUL service can be in this country and you get away with it. Manager should have come over to apologize profusely to us at some point and given significant discounts off the bill. I'm going to make sure to post this all over so that more people don't make the mistake my friend did. I very rarely write reviews this terrible but this is well-deserved.

There is a private bar in the 1st floor which can be reserved for smaller gatherings. There's also a bar and a restaurant in the ground floor. I ordered breakfast twice and the food was delicious. Checkin/checkout process was fast and straightforward, the staff is also nice and friendly. It's very close to the train station and about 10-15min walking distance from St Pauls Cathedral. Review of London Bridge Hotel…read more I am compelled to write this review due to an unacceptable experience at the London Bridge Hotel, where safety concerns, poor service, and shocking levels of rudeness left a lasting negative impression. Our stay was marred by an incident where a member of our group slipped and fell on the poorly designed stairs. The steps are barely distinguishable, posing a clear hazard that has reportedly caused falls for both staff and guests. When we reported the incident to the duty manager, the situation was handled appallingly. The individual on duty--later identified as Alpay, the head receptionist--initially did not even seem to know who the duty manager was. After checking, Alpay confirmed it was indeed him during the incident but admitted he failed to act despite claiming to be present when the fall occurred. No first aid was offered, no basic care protocols were followed, and when asked to see the report that should have been logged, Alpay flatly refused. It was painfully clear that no report had been made, and his dismissive and rude attitude compounded an already unacceptable situation. His behavior in front of another receptionist was unprofessional, and his need to always have the last word, coupled with the unpleasant smell of cigarette breath, made the interaction even worse. This level of service is not only disappointing but also fails to meet the minimum standard of decency and care expected in the hospitality industry. The fact that someone like Alpay, who demonstrated dishonesty and rudeness, holds a position of responsibility as head receptionist reflects poorly on the management of this hotel. The experience at breakfast only reinforced the poor service culture. Staff were abrupt, and at 11 a.m. sharp, we were told we needed to leave, even if we hadn't finished. Room service was equally inconsistent, rounding out a series of service failures that made this stay intolerable. In the interests of being fair and balanced, there was one receptionist who was present at the time of the appalling interaction with Alpay, and he was kind and polite throughout the stay. Unfortunately, I cannot name him in this situation because I didn't catch his name. Alpay, however, should be reprimanded and given further training on basic customer service because he is not someone who should be leading the reception area and claiming to be a duty manager. These are titles that far exceed the communication and professionalism received from him. I do hope the general manager takes the time to review CCTV footage and address the serious concerns raised here. This review reflects my values and expectations for basic human decency and customer service--both of which were utterly lacking at the London Bridge Hotel. For these reasons, I cannot recommend staying here. Avoid it if you value safety, professionalism, and respect.
