They treated my brother like family and worked with us so we could visit via FaceTime and window visits so we could see him. It is always stressful when a loved one is in a facility -- but even more so when you can't see them in person. Fox helped with that stress by ensuring we could call at anytime and my brother always looked well groomed and content.

Don't ask management for help bc they won't ... and secondly , they are sneaky slime which includes Human Resources , administration , respiratory manager , CEO , etc. seriously , the whole company ... they are always short staffed and trying to take one employee to another location bc coverage is so short bc of the high turn over rate . Respiratory management tries to bully you on breaks as if you're not allowed to take them as your getting run in to the ground for 12 hours . Don't send your loved ones here . This place is a death trap . My was refered for rehabilitation so I look up reviews so we thought…read morethey would help . My mom was in Cathedral village for no more than a month. First couple in the place a nurse cuss my mom out for asking for some pain medication after waiting for over a hour the nurse told her she not the only patient. I talked to the administration they said they would handle the situation. The food was trash . My mom complained saying she was feeling well chest pain mucus and a few other ask told the staff the my mom should be sent out to the hospital they kept saying that they ran test and that nothing was wrong. So we said well maybe she was caught a cold . I wish I would have listened to my soul and not the staff , mind you my mom was on blood pressure medicine so they said they would make sure that she was strong enough before they would change to a different pressure medication. I took the word for it and the next they put my mom on the new medication now that I think about it she went down fast after starting her on the new medicine. She pass away in two days of the medication. Also my mom went to this nursing home continent they was to lazy to take my mom to the restroom so they talk her in to diapers so they wouldn't have to take her to restroom when the rehab people came to work with my mom she was never wash and ready for rehab I had to start washing my mom because I noticed that they was washing her , one day I gave my mom a wash cloth to wash her hands and face . It look like mud on her wash cloth. after speaking to the administration again the staff would pretend to be so nice and harding , those couple of day prior to them give my mom the new meds when I came up to visit the halls was a ghost town . I knew something wasn't right, but it was to late and now she's gone ! I pray that this stop and they don't get away with this nonsense again with any body else family! God bless and stay away from this dump!

The moment I walked in, I noticed something different--there was no odor, just a clean and welcoming environment. From Admissions Director Raquel Jones to the nursing, rehab, and support staff, everyone treated my mother with kindness, dignity, and respect. The rehab program was outstanding. They went beyond traditional therapy by helping her practice real-life activities in their rehab kitchen and laundry area, and they even conducted a home visit before discharge to ensure she could safely transition back home. The team also worked closely with me to make that transition as smooth as possible. My mother is very particular about her surroundings and her appearance, and the staff embraced that. One of my favorite memories was bringing her church outfits on Sundays. The staff would wait to see what she was wearing, compliment her, and make her feel special. I would just smile because they treated her like the queen she really is. The food was good, the activities were thoughtful, and my mother especially enjoyed the church services and even an ice cream truck visit during her stay. Perhaps the greatest compliment I can give Ambler is that I never felt like I had to be there every day to make sure my mother was okay. As an only daughter and caregiver, that peace of mind was priceless. Thank you to the entire Ambler Extended Care Center team for helping my mother recover while making her feel safe, valued, and cared for. I will always be grateful.

This place was so seedy, with old furnishings, dim lighting, zero security, no nurse call button, and no walkers available. If this were a hotel it would not be anywhere I would spend the night. After she was served a sloppy joe, cole slaw and cold fries on a beat up old bed tray I knew I couldn't leave her there one night alone. I am disgusted with Jefferson Health for offering this dive as a place for rehabilitation services. Ambler Extended care seemed like a shelter for homeless people. Absolutely scary and horrible!

this was a VERY harsh reality! at first..when tou walk into the facility, you think..ok, not so…read morebad. i think its just a false idea of what the rest of the place looks like. at the entrance, it smells like lysol and seems to appear clean. we checked in (where it took so long).."up to the third floor" they said. we entered the third floor, and we smelt nothing but urine and feces. the nurses could give absolutely 2 shits about anyone there. it seemed to be the social workers lock themselves in an office, in which THEY dont even want to come out. we sat and waited in the area with the desk in the middle, which was falling apart and literally rhe paint was coming off the walls (which from the smell of everything, prob did that!) The Patients couldnt of been in worst shape...people with missing limbs and have compketely lost their minds. there was no support or love or anything for that matter from ANY of the staff. i have never been so horrified in my life (worse that the WORST horror movie you ever saw). i know this is a state line facility and i shouldn't have anticipated much, but wow! is this really how our country takes care of us at the end?! the place is so bad, i would say people in prison are getting a better deal or maybe even a dog kennel. i wouldnt even bring my dog there to WALK AROUND! it really makes you think about the things you want for your loved ones as they reach a ceartin point. its a VERY harsh reality. so people...work hard!, take care of yoir loved ones...MAKE SURE THEY NEVER END UP HERE!!!! ITS HELL ON EARTH!

Hello, my name is Jimmie Mitchell a current resident at Fairview Nursing Home second floor rm#226A…read more I am posting this review to tell exactly how horrible it is living here..it has been in the 90's weather wise, and my rooms thermostat is at 79-81 constantly, the air condition system works when it wants to. My roommate and i have no working landline phone and have been without one for a year. The call bell only works if i literally take the cord out from the wall, even then only the light up top the door lights up, no one would be aware of the call bell light because it doesn't buzz at nursing station ..they allowed an employee yesterday that was unknown to any residents to take swabs on their gums clamming it was for a COVID test, which no resident was made aware of nor signed for.. upon information and belief i but not limited to believes that the administrator but not limited to and other staff members and employees are purposely misleading and manipulating residents and now are going above and beyond the calls of duty and are starting procedures to evict and displaced residents who really don't have any safe and secured places to go, clamming money being the primary cause and reasoning for doing so. Mean while the quality of living suffers, dilapidated building, subpar medical aid, and to be constantly reminded that Fairview Nursing Home controls ever aspect of what little life we have left....If you truly love your kin folk and loved ones PLEASE DO NOT PUT THEM IN FAIRVIEW NURSING HOME.

I recommend families verify current inspection reports, ask about staffing levels and infection‑control procedures, and contact the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health or the Long‑Term Care Ombudsman before considering placement.
