Unfortunately they couldn't replace it due to the battery placement in the car but recommended I go to Ford to have it done. The guy was kind enough to pull up his van and use his jumper cables to get our car started again. We called Ford and they're booked 2 weeks out (which is literally insane in itself but I digress) so we went back to this store to purchase a battery and have someone else install it. The same guy was still working and so helpful, friendly, and kind. I believe his name is Tyler but I could be wrong - he had long brown hair, a beard, and a wrapped hand from what I assume was an injury. Whoever owns this store needs to bump this guy up to management and give him a raise. 10/10 experience and this guy just earned the store a forever customer.

i was in a m.v.a. on august 14th and was injured and was taken by ambulance to the hospital…read moreunresponsive and the officer at the scene called carl's towing. i had no choice in the matter and when i called the next morning, literally as soon as they opened and he told me yes come on up and we will talk about it. when i get there he says you can pay almost $500 for his services or pay $150 and sign the recipt and that would give him my car plus the $150 i had to pay to even look at my car, i only needed to get my important stuff from it and wasnt allowed until the money was paid and i signed the recipt. i had several personal belongings on my car and inportant papers that had my personal information on them, when i got to my car my laptop that was in my purse in the front seat was shoved up under the passenger seat and my medication i had in my purse was gone as well. the personal papers were gone to and i have had calls asking me to finish my requests, one for a walmart card and another from a car lot wanting to sell me a new car based on my request. i have not done anything to try for a new car because of insurance companies. the driver in the oposite vehicle gave the wrong information and i cant get anything done and i cant scrap my car for a possible down payment for a car because carls took my car. i have spoken with several diffrent organizations that say he is not allowed to do that, espically since my insurance company had not been notified of the accident and had no chance to even look at my car. in my opinion carls is a thief and shady. would not reccomend to anyone, not even someone i hate.

The best thing about this place is their honesty. For most people who don't know much about mechanics, me included, you won't have to worry about getting up sold unnecessary repairs or simply getting cheated. I've been coming here since we moved to Elizabethtown some 12 years ago and have appreciated the wonderful service Nelson, Fred and their team have provided to me and my family. They are always looking for ways to pass on the savings to their customers. All of our cars require full synthetic motor oil and that can be expensive. At the dealer or one of those quick lube places it runs about $80-$110 dollars for an oil change. It started out like that at discount tire then about 5 or 6 years I got a bill for about $45. I asked Nelson if they had used full synthetic since the cost was significantly lower, and he assured me that they did use full synthetic and the price was lower because they were buying it in bulk and it was much cheaper. Instead of profiting from the increased margin, they passed it onto their customers. On another occasion I needed a replacement part and if I got it from the manufacturer it would cost about $800 just for the part. Nelson said he could find a used part in good condition that was gonna cost me a fraction of that $800 (about $150) and that's what he did. No problems for a couple years to when I traded that car in. These are just two of the many examples of why they are the best and most honest auto service. I'll end my review with this anecdote. My daughter was home on a school break and I noticed her tires were worn and needed to be replaced. I did notice that all four had not worn evenly though I routinely rotated the tires. It may have been that I'd replaced 2 a couple years back but didn't remember. Regardless, I sent my daughter to get all 4 replaced so they would all match. An hour later my daughter called to say that Nelson recommended only two tires be replaced. I disregarded it and told her to get all 4 changed. She called me back and said, they refuse to replace all four tires, the two are barely worn and will last for another 40k miles. Haha. Two years later, no problems and yeah they look to have about the same wear, I can't tell the new from the old.

However, no one came and talked to me about my car of what's going on. If they notice my tires low or worn they will let me know and advise me on an offer from the tire place next store. They always been great with topping off my fluids and giving me a heads up on something they see may cause an issue down the road. I haven't got that kind of service and concern for the customer else where. The workers are pleasant and once they get use to seeing you, they know exactly what do to, before I even turn off the engine. They put a sticker on my car for a reminder of my next oil change and will reset my stats on my car so I don't have to do it. I will keep coming back, just for the customer service and they keep my car going.
