I also remember when I was pregnant, I wanted to get off Valium due to the effects to pregnancy. I had been on Valium for over 20 years at that time. They dropped me SO fast and unsafely. I was prescribed 10mg 3x a day which is quite high. Then they detoxed me in about 4 days. It was ROUGH. I had major panic attacks to the point of driving to them begging them to do a slower taper or give me a one time dose. They wouldn't do so. They also won't see you without a card on file or paying first and they charge you for every little damn thing. I don't know why after pregnancy and birth I came back to her. Each time, I was seen by a PA instead, without that being clearly communicated in advance. I was told it wasn't a significant concern and didn't need to be addressed. After seeking a second opinion from another vein specialist, I learned that the issue does, in fact, require further treatment and that the original treatment plan was not effective.

This is the small but superior team that makes up the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation office in Frisco. They are under the umbrella company of The Clinical Research Group, hence the confusion in titling. I can say with conviction that they are all quality individuals! How does this family of employees go above and beyond? Well, it begins long before I even first met them face-to-face. Granted, they would prefer this occurs sooner rather than later, but me from being out of town they were more than understanding regarding my transportation travel concerns and wanting to make sure this was the right thing to do before I relocated. From months before I ever set foot into their office, I spoke various times with Donna and Jenny to figure out and ensure my insurance's approval. I did a phone consultation with Doctor Mech, tied up many loose ends with Justin (even including him assisting with locations adorable housing!). Once I arrived, they were exactly as expected. Welcoming, reading to answer any inquiries I had, prepared to do anything in their power to make my treatment as easy and successful as possible. For right now, there are limited facilities offering specific BrainsWay coils, and I can say from scouting other establishments that, without doubt, this is one of the best choices in the area. At first, everything was going good. They have a cozy building, adorable service dogs, and I wasn't in a rush during the evaluation. But on the follow-up, my symptoms and struggles were downplayed. I didn't complete my education, so she blamed all my scores on that, then implied the only reason I wanted to get a diagnosis was because I mentioned filing for disability benefits. It felt like a slap to the face. She said I met all the qualifications to be diagnosed with BPD, but she wasn't going to because... well, she didn't really give me a reason. She advised I don't get a second opinion, as well. Going on their website, it looks like the LPA(?) who invalidated me no longer works there, and I'm still struggling to pay off everything. I don't want my money back, I just want to be taken seriously and have my assessment redone by someone else, because otherwise it was just a waste of money.

The testing was set for a Monday. Unfortunately, the Friday before the appointment, my grandfather passed away. I called that Friday to cancel and left a voicemail, as I was unaware that their office is closed on Fridays and no one was available to answer. At the time, I was not aware of their cancellation policy. I had not been given or signed any paperwork related to this specific appointment, only paperwork over a year ago for a consultation appointment. No one informed me of the policy over the phone when I scheduled. Their team should have communicated the following at the time of scheduling: that I had not completed any paperwork in over a year, that no paperwork had been completed for this specific appointment, and that there is a $1,000 cancellation fee for appointments canceled less than 48 hours in advance. I did, in fact, cancel 48 hours in advance -- I called on Friday to cancel a Monday appointment -- and my voicemail should be present in their voicemail log. The lack of communication, failure to review my records, and lack of assistance from their team have been extremely frustrating. I have called approximately nine times and have received no resolution. I have requested to speak with the advising director multiple times, and they said he'd "shoot me an email." A $1,000 charge is an unreasonable amount to impose under these circumstances, especially when this situation was not due to any fault of my own. Do not make an appointment here unless you want to be treated like you're worthless.

All of the people I spoke to were friendly, good listeners, and asked lots of questions, not only about my health, but also just about me. They made sure to ask if I had appointments lined up for the other annual visits I'm supposed to make. The doctor was very friendly and let me know that if I ever need an appointment and a time isn't listed on Zocdoc, I can just call and they can fit me in. This practice seems to really care about their patients. I came back in the morning after fasting to give blood and urine samples for my checkup, and everyone was kind and reassuring despite my needle-phobia. Definitely recommend this place!
