I love this store and the prices match the quality! The plants are beautiful. The paint selection perfect colors and all. I also love to visit the household cleaning items. Zep, micro blue towels and trash bags 150 for less than $20 a must! I'm always in and out with a special greeting each time never fails. Terrible curbside pickup system. Took 3 days to have order ready when placing order for same day pickup. When I arrived to pick up my items, I followed the directions that were emailed to me by Home Depot. After 20 minutes on hold I walk around to find different directions posted at the site. This put me past the 6 pm cutoff and I was unable to pick up my order. Disappointed by the delay and incorrect instructions. read more

I don't normally write negative reviews but this one I felt was needed. There is such horrible customer service at this store. Waited forever to get assistance with purchasing a 3500 stainless steel LG fridge. No matter how many associates walked by, no one bothered to ask if I needed assistance. The store was not busy either and another couple were also waiting and getting annoyed. After asking twice and having someone call for service in appliances, no one bothered to come to help any of us. After leaving and going back to Home Depot hours later, I observed 4 associates doing nothing but socializing in the appliance section. When I went over to ask for help one guy barely turned to look at me and with attitude asked me what I wanted. Although he addressed my question on a product which turned out to be only available online, he did not even bother to offer to order it for me, he left and went back to his friends at the appliance counter. Oh well home depot great job to you! You missed out on a good purchase from two separate families that walked away and frankly I am in the middle of an entire kitchen remodel so I will be purchasing my appliances at Lowes instead! My first trip to this Home Depot I needed to have keys made. Employees paged fir someone 3 different times and nobody showed up. After half an hour one of the other employees who had paged for someone in keys made them for me. Second trip I bought a new range. I paid to have the old one removed. The day of delivery they took the old range minus the door to the old one. I noticed it within 5 minutes of them leaving. I called them and they said sorry and hung up on me. Today I went to buy a new garage disposal. Only one person is actually helping customers in the appliance department. After waiting 45 minutes I inquired about getting it professionally installed and asked how much that would be. Employee said I don't know. She couldn't be bothered to look it up in the computer. Icing on top of the cake today. As I was leaving the store one of the employees was talking to a customer close to the check out lines the employee had his mask down around his chin. I'm done Home Depot. I'll drive the extra miles to Lowe's. read more

No wonder why this store has 19 reviews and only 2.5 stars. I wish I came to Yelp first. The assistant manager WILL & JEFF are not willing to listen to any issues they you may have on your order. TERRY the COS is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with and they need to admit that they need to hire more help instead of blaming the customer. I bought a special order carpet and tried calling to cancel for several days. I even called the install company who said they cannot return for me that I have to call the store- they also said they had trouble contacting the store. WILL hung up on me TWICE when I asked him not to. He would never let me get a word in. I asked if I could speak to another manager he said there are no other managers on. I called back and sure enough JEFF & Jaclyn were also working. I got Jeff first and asked to speak to Jaclyn (bc I felt as if these men did not care about my concerns as they would laugh at me and not answer my questions) Jeff said he would transfer me to Jaclyn and he transferred me to Will. I told will I refused to speak to him. He transferred me back to Jeff. As if my run around with communication wasn't bad enough this is what I now had to deal with, with "MANAGERS". I am very upset that they would not take any accountability for what has gone on. Jeff told me he Is doing what Will and Terry told him and he agrees with them and I asked him a question about my order and he couldn't even answer it so why would he agree with them when he hasn't even heard my point of view? If Home Depot corporate is reading this I really hope you have recorded lines and go back to listen to how I was treated. These managers are ruining your business. The sad part is- I gave 4 years of my life to this company when I worked for them years ago and this is the thanks I get. NO customer should be treated the way I was treated. I would cancel the whole thing if it wouldn't end up costing me $500 for the craziness I have been through. Also this order was a phone sale and they never spoke to me of the cancellation policy - they just sent me a copy today (purchased on 8/27) and none of them had an exact grip on it when I asked them questions on when my carpet was shipped and how long I had to cancel. I would like to Honor the employees of this Home Depot. As a patron last evening, I witnessed numerous patrons not abiding by the rules of wearing masks and social distancing. These employees should be provided with N95 masks to protect them if some members of the public are not interested in protecting others. My mask protects YOU, YOUR mask protects ME. Thank You Home Depot employees for putting yourself in harms way to keep the store open. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating was because of the ignorant patrons not abiding by the rules. This is my Home Depot of choice (and the closest one to us). I prefer Lowe's, but if I just need a few quick things, and the Dries Do-It just down the road is already closed, Home Depot is a fast choice. We've had pretty good luck with our staff encounters when we can find someone - the worst part is finding help, especially on the weekends. I've waited 20 minutes or more for assistance. Not too long ago, we spent 30 minutes getting assistance in the plumbing department, but the older gentleman who assisted us was unbelievably friendly & helpful. When a blind order went haywire (three deliveries later, they still were not right), the manager came on board and tried to make things right. Prices are on par with Lowe's...sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower. read more

Horrible customer service! The manager (Jeff) at The Home Depot off Lehigh St in Allentown needs a lesson in SAFETY and customer service. We went to HD to get lumber for a deck we are building. We planned to get the lumber and then return at a later date to special order our Trex deck boards, railing, etc. Today we were going to buy 20 of 2 x 10 x 12 pressure treated lumber. Rather than roll 1500+ pounds through the parking lot my Father in law asked if we could pay and then use the contractor loading area. Jeff was very rude and kept repeating "You have to get in line and pay there." Yes, Jeff, we understand that but all we requested was a place to SAFELY LOAD our purchase. Not once did Jeff offer help or an employee to assist us. As we left the store my FIL asked Jeff why he thought it was a good idea to not allow us (or anyone) to use the contractor loading area. His response "what do you want me to do?" Well, Jeff, we want you to consider that it would take a few minutes of your time to come up with a solution in order to keep a customer who was going to spend over $5,000 at your store. So, if a $5,000+ sale at your store is not that important then we just had to leave. We decided to take our business elsewhere. There is a nice family owned hardware store on Brookside Rd who not only were a few dollars cheaper per board but were friendly and even helped us load everything up. read more

He was nothing but rude and obnoxious standing at the door, speaking to customers as if they are idiots. It was a surprise he even had time to speak to the customers in such a rude manner as he was fiddling on his phone and talking about girls with the two other associates. This review is for truck rental at Glenwood St. location. DO NOT RESERVE ONLINE. I reserved a box truck online from this location for my daughter's move. It guided me through the entire process including entering credit card information for the deposit. I received an email with a confirmation number. The day I went to pick up the truck I was told that the online reservation system didn't work (sounded like it never had). You needed to call to make a reservation. I was told "Some mornings I have seven or eight people standing in front of me and three trucks available". I am not sure why the online option is even available if it doesn't work. Luckily there was a large van available that day and we took it. We soon realized there was no window washer fluid and the tires we're extremely low on air. The low air pressure light was on when we picked up the truck and had probably been on for a while judging by how low the pressure was in them. Once we resolved the van issues we were able to make our move, but what a hassle. read more

The Home Depot Allentown, conveniently located right off of route 309 in Allentown, is one of my favorite Home Depot locations I have been to. They have a great selection of items, most of which are decent quality and also at a decent price. Never had a problem with the customer service at this location and the place is always kept clean. Recommend to anyone looking for a decent hardware store in the area. read more

The online ordering system/in-store management is deplorable. I ordered a $150 item online. Well over 24 hours later the part still wasn't ready to be picked up. I had to drive to the store to pick the item off of the shelf (15 pieces still available) to purchase it. I then cancelled the online order. I should not have to do the job of an employee. Additionally, their COVID-19 plan badly needs revisited. Waited in line approx. 10 minutes just to get in-store. This isn't the first week of the pandemic. Corporate very much needs to step in to retrain/rehire management. Average employees are terrific. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. The only positive thing about this store is that they have kept items in stock for the most part. read more

My family and I have had collectively one horrible experience after another. The store I find is hard to navigate. The staff is usually unhelpful and clueless. We've order things from them several times simply because there's not a whole lot of places to go around here, and they have yet to order the correct thing, get it on time, or call and let us know it's there. My parents even had a carpet they ordered stolen right at the front of the store, because the staff wasn't watching. The place is run by idiots I tell you! I love this Home Depot. I've frequented this place now and then throughout the years and never really had a problem. Nothing great, nothing bad. During this past summer we decided to do some renovations so I was there quite often. I distinctly remember being there 6 times in one day due to being unorganized and not remembering to grab all the things I needed. The staff working there is hit and miss. There are "experts" or guys who really know their stuff and are very helpful with advices and suggestions. And there are the ones who are hired temps who don't know any more than what's written on the box. But I know by now who's who. It does get busy on weekends, especially during the warmer months, and with limited experts to go around, it can take awhile. I believe John (IIRC) in the plumbing department was a lifesaver when we encountered unexpected problems, one of another, when remodeling a bathroom. I like this one better than the other locations only because of distance and IMO isn't as busy as the others. Definitely recommend. read more

Only flaw is early morning pickup of purchases, store is open, but finding someone at the customer service desk can be difficult... recent service has improved, however... might have caught them on an off day. Asked where to find a handsaw, the employee sent me on a wild goose chase when the product wasn't even in Stock. Rude employees who seem as though they don't want to be there. Will take my business to Lowe's, Ace or elsewhere. If you have the opportunity to do the same, I recommend you do so. read more

'Been shopping this store over 30 years and they just seem to keep bettering themselves! As I get older I appreciate how they reach out and go the second mile for the elderly. I've made a few mistakes in my shopping and there is never a problem returning. I've also brought my grandkids to the "kids workshop" and they always enjoy the process of learning DIY projects! As of recent I understand they have a program in their system that they on-the-spot can put in a request for pros/contractors to contact you about something you need assistance with (my fuse box is a bit outdated). I know I can find my own electrician, but I feel a bit better knowing the electrician is connected with Home Depot. In my opinion no other hardware store matches up! read more

What a horrible experience buying appliances. Sent an email to Home Depot customer service on 11/11. Receive a responce 5 days later asking for a phone number to call to address the issue. Replied with phone number and no call back. Microwave was defective when installed called the store the next day to report and was told would get a call the next day from Jessica. No call back. Guessing I will get absolutely no responce from this review also but alas. Be prepared guess they are great when everything works and you get good service however will more than likely go to Lowes in the future as at least they care about customer service read more

Have been trying to order a door for four weeks, since 2/20/18. After the measurements were taken there was a ridiculous amount of back and forth about what was the right measurement of the door. Could never get a straight answer. Finally on our fourth visit to the store was told again that they didn't know if the measurement was correct. Gave up and asked for my deposit back. Store manager Jacklyn was worthless and didn't seem to care. However I did receive my deposit back. Luis never returned phone calls. Bob and Luis did not seem to agree on what the best course of action was. When we got there on fourth visit, there was another couple lined up to complain about problems they were having. Luis was allowed to take a break within an hour of the store closing. Employees have an attitude and seem understaffed. Either pay and staff your people appropriately or close the store down. Needless to say will never enter this store again. I used this store for over ten years and had ordered and had another door installed and have never had these kinds of problem. My 80 yr old Mother bought a 56 inch Montero media console, electric fireplace, in Jan of 2016. It came with a one-year warranty and mom purchased $130 three-year warranty. Almost 800$ was spent. Mom lives in Fl most of the time so she only got to use it maybe four times and a part in the fireplace stopped working. We called early Dec 2016 Home Depot said they had to mail me the part. We waited. After Christmas, after several phone calls and leaving messages, told them nothing showed up. No call back I called & emailed several times in January finally the person handling my case, Gwendalyn, got back to me telling me they don't make that part anymore and there's nothing they can do. she gave me to an online rep who was about to give me a full refund until we got "disconnected". I emailed right away to see if I could speak to him again to finish the transaction & the first rep said online reps can't call out. They refused to honor the full refund and finally, after several more phone calls, my husband got a supervisor online to tell me they would come pick up the fireplace (after first telling me to take it apart and bring it back ) and give us a Store credit for the fireplace and the three-year warranty. Well I haven't heard from the manager of the store Who is supposed to call me about picking it up today, and the online supervisor that eventually handled my case, Joe Flint, isn't calling me back either after leaving 2 voicemails this wk. After over 15 emails, voicemails, and phone conversations here it is February 1, 2017 and the issue is still not resolved. I contacted the Better Business Bureau. Horrible horrible customer service!! read more
