Came in looking for a Christmas tree, and search high and low as it stated they had them in stock online. No workers stopped to ask if i needed help as there were none to be found, which was quite surprising. I eventually found a worker who was have a personal conversation on his cell phone while he was working. He stopped to assist me, but never got off the phone until he realized he would need to go get someone that actually worked in the department I needed assistance in. He told me he would be right back. I stood and waited for about almost 10 minutes before a gentleman came over to ask what i was looking for. What a night and day difference between the Home Depot and Lowes in this area. My boyfriend and I asked an employee for help at Lowes and they said they would be right back, but never did and made us wait 45 mins. We asked other employees for help and they were all absolutely clueless. The other day we visited this Home Depot location and needed fencing materials. A friendly employee approached us and asked if we needed help. She gave us outstandingly detailed advice and information on what she would recommended for our specific situation. Her recommendation worked out perfectly for us and we were extremely satisfied. Would definitely recommend this location! read more

We came here this weekend with our toddlers for the kids workshop. Its a free workshop, lasts all morning and is so much fun. We tried it when kids were barely 2 and they did not have much interest, they are almost 3 now and very into it. We built Home Depot trucks and it was so much fun! They did miss 1 component that was mentioned in the kit- the glue and one of the parts could really use it, we glued it at home and kids love their trucks. We will be back! read more

This location of Home Depot has saved the day for me at least twice now. This is not the most convenient location, however they see to have items I need IN STOCK. Today no less than five different employees offered me help, even though I was on a mission and knew where to go. This store is great from running in and out. Check Out is a breeze and receipts can be printed or emailed to you. They have a large parking lot with plenty of spaces. I bought Samsung appliances during the Black Friday sale. The sales woman set up the delivery for Dec 3 2021. I received a call from Final Mile Delivery Service, on Dec 2 stating the appliances would be delivered between 9am and 1pm on Dec 3rd. At 2pm the delivery service called and said the appliances would not be delivered because the truck broke down. I told them I had sold the old appliances and needed the delivery as promised. Home depot left me without appliances until Dec 7, 2021. When Final Mile finally delivered the appliances they left trash on the driveway. THe sales woman told me the appliances would be hooked up by the delivery service, another lie I will not shop at the Bridgeton store ever again and suggest everyone think twice about shopping there. read more

I bought a Maytag dishwasher and when the delivery was scheduled, the person doing the scheduling said it would be installed the same day. I knew that might not be true. Of course there was no plumber so I sent it back. I rescheduled a few days later. It was scheduled to be delivered at 1 am on my computer. The plumber showed up at 5:45 am. The dishwasher did not have a hose so they took it back. My old dishwasher was taken apart.The plumber said I had a bad shut off valve. The plumber did not cap off the pipe after taking out the old dishwasher so every time I used the kitchen water, my kitchen flooded. The delivery crew took away my dishwasher installation kit I paid for and would not give it back. I am still waiting for a delivery time on Thursday. I want the dishwasher installed by a union plumber to be safe because I want it done right. The delivery people and plumbers are not very nice. If I do not get delivery time for Thursday, I done. read more

Contractors entrance cheat plus cheap Chinese combo & value items like $10 one gallon sprayers make this a monthly stop. I phone-in order from the China House restaurant next-door. I park next to & enter at the contractors entrance. (I am a contractor) I check the checkout line for that exit vs center checkouts as I get what I need. (I usually use the self check out.) I go to the van and drop off the purchase. I go to China House and pick up my food. 1 stop before a job takes 10-15 minutes for 2 different needs. Other than the convenience of the Chinese restaurant, this Home Depot must have a theft problem. I like the quick convenience of the self checkout, but there's glitches with the system that requires attendees help. On more than one occasion at this location- My body and my hands are checked visually as the attendee only key swipes the machine. The bag (I never use) is "checked" then taken and thrown away like there is something wrong with it. I leave thinking no harm no foul. Otherwise it is a normal Home Depot. Good values on generic things. I stopped shopping here for specialty items. I stopped asking employees questions or for advice long ago. read more

I purchased a Brinkmann BBQ charcoal grill back in Dec 2014. Four months later the paint began to crack and chip off. Called Brinkmann they said there is nothing they can do at all. (Worse service). Walked into Home Depot, dealt with Thelma at the customer service desk. Although my issued wasn't resolved because I could not find my receipt , Thelma went above and beyond to help me. She made phone calls, spoke with others and tried her best to do whatever she could to help me. I was very pleased with her attitude and she was superior at customer service. On a side note don't ever buy a Brinkmann brand because they do not stand behind their product. Their product is made cheaply and does not work well. My old $25 grill from Walmart lasted me 4 years without any issues. This $200 grill lasted me four months. Shame on Brinkmann read more

I liked how clean the store was so that is why I gave it a five. I also gave it a five cause of the check out girls Donna the Sweetheart & Regina the Babydoll. The one had me LMFAO with that fake blonde ponytail cause she was rude as F and she did not look like she wanted to be there & it showed. Where hell did they get her from cause all she did was send us to Donna the Sweetheart or Regina the Babydoll. She had a odd name like Zoyria or something like that. Then it was this other rude little broomstick standing next to her with a real ponytail taking about she wants to go to pro. I thought damn how about you go out the door & never come back. Well this Home Depot falls under the category of you see one you have seen them all. The people are always really nice here and try to be as helpful as possible. There is a True Value right up the street from this Home Depot and they are much more knowledgeable but Home Depot is less expensive most of the time. I'm done! I rarely got good service at this location (or any other Home Depot)! Today broke it. We wanted a floor vent for a bathroom remodel my wife found on website. Not available in Bridgeton; only in Edwardsville, IL! HD gave the option of having ExpressDelivery to my home for $79. Vent cost $18. Home Depot stopped doing inter-store deliveries a year ago. The customer service rep I chatted with went so far out of his way to help. He really did all he could (20-30 minutes!), but in the end it was the Bridgeton store who killed the deal. Edwardsville was willing to arrange an inter-store transfer. Bridgeton refused. I'm never returning. read more

I cannot even give this place even ONE star! The customer service is so poor that that place is just a total losing business. My wife and I, after shopping a LOT, bought a new kitchen there. Paid over $8,000 for just the cabinets. I made it VERY clear that I did not want any particle board in the cabinets, ESPECIALLY the sink base. Cabinets arrived and as I started installing them, I found that almost 1/2 of them were particle board sides. I also had one cabinet that was coming de-laminated. I had one cabinet that as soon as the box was opened, the drawer front fell off and damaged another drawer. The sink base was particle board. WHO in their right mind makes a piece of furniture that is around water, out of PARTICLE BOARD!!!!????? It is sawdust and glue. I dont need to be told by some salesperson that it is as "new" particle board and wont have issues if it gets wet. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I would say DO NOT buy from these people. Why can't a Super home improvement chain have a consistent system in place to mimic all the others? All departments are either flip flopped, misplaced, or non existent. Awful. Just awful. Ordered carpet, they sent the wrong carpet to my house. The carpet guy didn't change the kind I wanted in the computer when he said he would. My daughter and I were signed up for a tile backsplash class advertised on Facebook. We showed up at 10 am. I asked the first worker I saw where we meet for the tile class. He looked at me like I was crazy and said to ask someone else because he "obviously didn't know". I went to the courtesy counter and she directed me to the area that sells tile. When I arrived there were 5 or 6 ppl waiting for the class which was scheduled to start at 10. At 10:15 we were told the guy that runs the class was with a customer and they were trying to find someone else to teach it. Then at about 10:25 we were told they had a woman from another dept that was going to teach it. 10 min later and no sign of her or anyone else setting up for the class. Finally, at about 10:40 a guy with a card table and a sheet of drywall started the class. He mentioned he was not prepared and didn't have materials to show us except a bucket of adhesive and a small sheet of drywall. Didnt even have tile! His talk was only about 6 min long and I learned absolutely nothing. One woman had gotten a babysitter for her kids. The rest of us gave up a Saturday morning. Just seems like if they are going to advertise a class and you have 10 ppl signed up you would ensure that an employee was free to teach the class. read more

WORST store experience EVER. Went to this location to rent a Rug Doctor. First machine was DISGUSTINGLY dirty w/ big chunks of black fuzz. I told the girl I wanted a CLEAN one... it took her 10 mins to find one and I took it home and started using it the next day but it was broken. Only worked for attachments. I called the store, employees didn't want to give me the store manager. I spoke with Kelly and ended up taking the machine back for another one. They gave me a newer model but.. it kept leaking water everywhere even when I wasn't spraying and left puddles of wet spots on the carpeting. The GFI kept shutting it down so I had to stop every 10-15 mins. Not sure if that was due to the water reservoir being empty?? Called and asked for a manager, Patty, and she kept talking to another customer while I was waiting on the phone. THEN was yelling over me while I was talking and then SHE hung up on me! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE??? Did we give that up because of the pandemic???? LOWE's is my home improvement place. I plan on emailing the district manager but I'm not sure that will even help. We went to return the machine early because it was broken and they were STILL charging us for the use of the machine. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in customer service. I waited 12 hours for my flooring order to be delivered. I purposely ordered my flooring from the Hanley location as I have had awful service from this Bridgeton location before. I have been calling for over 3 hours to receive a courtesy of an explanation as to why my flooring wasn't delivered. No one answers the phone or I am put on hold for 45 minutes at a time. Even after I requested to speak to a manager twice. This location is terrible. Go somewhere else. I am now on hold with the 1800 customer service number to find some answers. read more

Placed an order online from Home Depot received my order yesterday it was a cracked humidifier took it back today got in return line lady says I haven't done a online return in a while I need help called for help 5 minutes 10 minutes no one came she called back to ask for help another 5 minutes a man named Bart came over never spoke or said sorry for your wait he told the cashier that asked for help call the online department wow what poor customer service so I waited 25 minutes while she got on phone which took 6 minutes for her to understand the procedure for online return then I was told for PayPal it takes 10 days no we're on my copy or my online transaction is that noted. I will never shop in this store or ever order anything online was it my fought I received it cracked. I was so happy to purchase new flooring and installation through Home Depot thinking that would be a safe bet. I paid quite a bit extra to to have them move my furniture. Apparently that means have your furniture sit next to where they are cutting the planks to collect mounds of dust. They put thresholds in the middle of floors where it makes no sense, some of them not even fully glued down. Parts of my base are missing quarter round showing the sub floor. They left with some of my furniture still outside, while also leaving my office desk in the kitchen and bedroom furniture in the living room. I completely understand mishaps happen but my home looked as if someone ransacked it. They did not clean up their cutting area. They said they would be done by 5 but are still working until almost 8 pm. I got a new patio set this past weekend it is now full of saw dust and sinking into the mud where they sat to have their smoke breaks. They said putting my doors back on were not part of installation when Home Depot clearly said it was. The list is so long it would take hours to type. I was so excited about this flooring but now after hours of clean up I am frustrated and exhausted. Please beware of this company. Now that they have had an inspector come out they realized underlayment was missing, quarterround was installed incorrectly, carpet was left in closet tracks, they didn't put my doors back on. I can not say how horrible this experience has been and Home Depot has done nothing to make it right.
