My husband went in to rent a jackhammer on Saturday. He has brace on his arm and forgot to put his mask on when he went in. The gentleman in tool rentals was extremely rude, citing that two people got $2500 tickets for not wearing a mask earlier that day and that if he has to wear one everyone does....clearly with the brace on one arm it is not easy to do. But when mr husband realized he forgot he got it on. The employee then showed him the jackhammer, berated him for not knowing that it wasn't pneumatic and made him carry it himself to the counter with one arm....this man should not be customer facing. We will not go back, Okotoks is not that far and they are very helpful and friendly there. read more

Beware of the Vent Cleaning Service. Job Tech was nosey about my personal stuff then showed angry temper when I questioned the $$ charged for the service. As the customer I have the right to know how the calculation is made and why price is different than the quote. My advice - use someone else. read more

So, Aside from Sharmeen who is great , heaven help us. Attitude, attitude. attitude. Even from the assistant store manager today. Ad the customer care desk where people are short and cranky. Never say I'm sorry or please !!! when you raise an issue they immediately come to the defence of the employee and that is why nothing improves in Calgary. the employees run the bosses!!! When I told the appliance associate that we have spent a lot of money supporting their store do yo think I even heard a thank you. No !! Instead he aid that what we spend does not matter to them???What an absolutely awful thing to say to a customer who has been loyal for 16 years. Really!!! Maybe that is why we just bought our cabinets from the Glenmore location where the staff are not snippy, rude people but are great and helpful. this store needs someone from Head office to do some serious butt kicking and start honouring their customers. read more

But staff here is friendly enough, once you actually find someone to talk to. Surprisingly, one-stop shopping can be done here. This Home Depot is equally as bad as the one I frequent on McLeod Trail. I came in looking for a pouch for my tool belt. It was around 7:30am on a weekday so the store was empty. There was an employee working the tool area and he has perfected the skill of ignoring anyone that walks by or is in fact standing right beside him looking at a display. When I asked him a question about the tool belts he replied "Just what you see there". His answer had nothing to do with the question I asked, but that's about right for what you get at Home Depot. I immediately left without making a purchase and ended up finding what I needed at Lowe's a few days later. read more

Yes, Home Depot is a gigantic big box store. But something very un-bog box like happens here. We've been here a few times and the staff are always helpful, competent and friendly. But our most recent visit takes the cake. We were in search of a new vacuum and we were feeling grown up enough to finally splurge on a really good one. We arrived, grabbed some light bulbs (we needed those too) and headed to where the vacuums were. We stood there for no long er than 10 seconds before a home depot employee asked us if we wanted him to get us a vacuum down from the storage area. I wasn't sure the model I was looking at was the same as the one I researched online so I wanted to check quickly. No problem. He waited nearby, far enough away that there was no pressure. When I decided we had the right one, he magically reappeared and got us one from storage. He offered to carry it to the front - no insisted actually and when we reached the cash area, he shook both my partner and my hands and thanked us for our business and wished us a happy new year. Um what? Complain all you want about big stores like this...there are a lot of local independent stores that don't offer the same superb service level as this particular location does. read more

I am so very disappointed in the level of customer service at this location. Error after error has been made with regard to our luxury vinyl plank flooring order. They just cannot seem to get it correctly done. It has been 4 weeks since we ordered the product and for one reason or another, the order was not placed correctly, then the flooring was shipped without the underlay and related supplies. I saw the CSR, Arun is his name place the order for the second time and everything needed was on the work order. Now we are stuck with only the flooring and no underlay and have to postpone our installation. Thanks Home Depot. I figured after 4 visits to your store to figure out the issues, you would have gotten it fight by now. Poor, poor communication between store level and your Toronto product warehouse. At least Arun did a fantastic job of trying to make it right, but alas...epic failure....nice work Home Depot! Will be taking my business elsewhere next time. Beware of vent cleaning company, not with HOME DEPOT local store but a contract company , review less than 1 star. THE COMPANY IS A CONTRACT COMPANY AND WILL UPSELL YOU WILL ADDITIONAL CHARGES. THE COMPANY WILL ADD 8$ FOR chimney CLEANING AND BLOWER MOTOR CLEANING FOR 30$, you agree on the additional charges and it takes him less than 3min to clean the chimney HAND RIGHTEN QUOTE ONLY AFTER THE JOB IS DONE. Hand writing is very poor. He will tell you that the 8 dollars is 89 dollars not 8. (you cant read the persons writing on the quote, he then takes the quote with him). read more

Been here almost daily for 3 months. Staff often helpful but often correct you with incorrect info. Dont use paint department. Go to Sherwin Williams instead and save the huge headaches. Wrong colors, wrong info. They will cost you money. read more

We are frequent shoppers of Home Depot and have always had good service so trusted that when we used their carpet cleaning company we would get good quality service. Wrong!! The person who cleaned our carpets left them in worse condition than before he started. When I called and sent photos to the company showing how awful the carpets looked they just said it was wear and tear not dirt. It was so bad we had to rent the Rug Doctor cleaner from Sobeys and spend 4 hours recleaning them. Now they look good as new. We totally wasted the money using Home depot. Do not use them there are much better companies out there. read more

Pretty standard as most Home Depot's go. There are some staff members that have a lot of knowledge concerning their department, and others who are a little clueless. As an electrician, I sometimes need to pick up small things from Home Depot from time to time. I don't tell any of the staff what my profession is, I just grab what I need and head to the check out. I was picking up pot lights for my basement, when an employee offered his help and advice without me having to solicit him. He was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated, but he gave me some electrical advice that went against code. Please, do NOT take electrical advice from people at Home Depot. If your house burns down because of bad advice, you can say goodbye to any insurance money you would be eligible for. read more

Home Depot credited us back for the issues we had as a result of the installation that occurred. This was resolved not to long after the issue. I should of written an update awhile back on this. My apologies. I am glad that Home Depot worked with me on this problem. We continue to shop at the store now and appreciate them working on getting this resolved. read more
