Home Depot is Cleveland's newest home improvement warehouse. The workers to me are little less knowledgeable than their competitor but are very willing to help you if you can find somebody. The parking lot includes an Outback Steakhouse and an Ihop and a Verizon Wireless store. Anyway, they carry different products than the other store. There's also not as many people shopping as other home improvement stores. It's a little bit vacant every time I go it seams. However, checking out is very fast and easy as there are never any lines. read more

Update: went to pick up the 1 window from mu order they said did come in. i confirmed day of that it was there. I get there and guess what, no window. They can't find it. Only thing they can do is reorder it for AFTER CHRISTMAS. Get real... Thank you Home Depot for canceling our order for windows 2 MONTHS after placing the order. For waiting until the day we're supposed to pick them up to cancel them. And for turning around and marking up the nearly identical ones 100% from what when we had placed the order. Update to my earlier review. The manager, Patty, never called me back. I called her and she told me that I approved all the fixtures and she has a pic of me approving them on my kitchen counter! Never happened. Total lie! Then she said that they don't even show a selection of gold hardware because they are not "up to date on current tends in hardware and only offer black or silver drawer pulls". You rather say that your design service is not up to date with the current trends than say that you ordered the wrong hardware?! Truly unbelievable. The manager of Home Depot Cabinet Design just told me that their product selection is not up to date with the current trends!! Do not have this service from them ever!!! read more

My regular Home Improvement store. Well stocked, clean, well organized. If I had a complaint it is actually complaining about a positive thing. My complaint is you are going to get more employee help there than any other Home Depot or any of their competitors stores. This is a good thing for someone working on a new project or looking for something they cant find, but for someone like me who has been working on my own homes for almost 40 years it can be somewhat annoying. But I would say the majority of their day to day customers probably need the help , meaning minus the contractors, so I would say it should and will probably stay that way. A couple of examples. I went to get some caulk, I know where it is, and what I was looking for. It is a specialized caulk for a specific type of project. I was reading the label and within ten minutes three different employees came up and offered help. One of them must have been a caulk specialist because I got a class on caulk. The other stores I use, if I ask where something is they tell me which aisle "Aisle 13, halfway down on the right". Not this store, they walk you directly to the item, even if it is on the other side of the store. I know I could just say they don't have to walk me across the store or give me a class on an item, but these employees seem so motivated to do what they do I don't want to tell them no. Message to management, if this is how you train your employees they are doing it, take my word for it. I am probably the rare complainer on something other people would consider positive, which is why I am not taking away a star. As a former General Manager in several different corporations I would want my employees to do exactly the same thing where it concerns customer service. The employees are always working, I almost feel guilty asking for something because they will drop what they are doing to help you. I don't work for them, these are just some facts. The store is clean, well organized, well stocked, well managed and the employees are veeeeeeerrrryyyyy helpful. read more

We have been to this location several times looking for flooring and paint. cant say enough good things about Larry in the Flooring department. He helped us with good information on several of our visits. Huge improvement in service with Home Depot!!!! Service is their number one concern! Very willing to ask the customer if they need help rather than the customer searching for a sales rep and practically begging to get help. The staff is now more knowledgeable than ever now. We found that if they don't know the answerer they will find it. We have now worked with Home Depot in Ohio Twp in Pennsylvania and now with the Cleveland, Tennessee stores. Went to this store because I needed a new dish washer. I had already checked their competitor (Lowes) and was looking to see what sort of prices I was looking at. I spoke with a male sales clerk who informed me that they would deliver for a price but would not tell me how much they would charge. The clerk told me that I would have to pay someone to pull the old one before they installed. I informed the clerk that Lowes would do that AND install the new one for $100.00. The clerk told me that I should just go back to Lowes if I did not like their way of doing business. Not 2 weeks before I had walked into this same store and purchased $4000 in appliances. I was very surprised at the response from this clerk. Poor customer service is why I will never buy anything else from Home Depot. I am willing to purchase from merchants who appreciate their customers but Home Depot obviously doe not. read more
