1. We paid a $3,000 deposit -to reserve our granite choices, with the slabs clearly specified on the sales order, only to find out when the install date came that our granite slabs had been sold to someone else. We were then given a revised sales order where they conveniently removed our slab numbers! Effectively, Rocky Tops sold the slabs twice. We were told we would be assigned other slabs, which were not contiguous and were not to our liking. We had to repeatedly complain to get 2 slabs that were similar to the original, causing a lot of stress and time on our part. In short, do not trust that slabs you pay for will be available when you go to install them. 2. All three bathroom sinks were fabricated incorrectly, in spite of our written and verbal directions, having all sinks for on site for measurement, and providing in writing all sink models to the salesman. We did not want countertops with the errors but Rocky Top provided us with no options. The salesman said that our quartz choices likely would now cost more if we did not accept the ones they had fabricated. We reached out to the manager who offered us no option either. Rocky Top urged us to let them bring the incorrectly fabricated sinks to see what we thought of them. When they arrived, we could not reach either the manager or the salesman to find out what we could do since we did not like them. 3. Our invoice was not correct. We had to add up everything and realized that we were being overcharged. We found multiple sinks billed to the same bathroom, including sinks that we had only inquired about the price but had not ordered. This has taken a great amount of time on our part to try to figure out what we are being billed for. This should not be that complex. On the plus side, after the install, one backsplash was not plumb with the countertop. While the joints were tight on both sides, in the middle there was a lengthy 3/16" gap which was quite noticeably different. We asked Rocky Top what might be done to resolve this and they have indicated that they will replace the backsplash. read more

The Local Lowe's store ordered the wrong color Granite. The supplier, Rocky Tops, sent us some photos and we saw the error but as photos can be deceptive, we made a 2 hour trip to Chattanooga with the Sample we had chosen. A nice lady, Ashley, showed us the ordered Slab and the Granite Slab which match our Sample. The difference, the word "Light" had been left off the Lowe's Order. She corrected the order, we were fortunate we had questioned the order based on the pictures. Had we Ok'd the cutting, we would have been stuck with the Bill. The Installers, from Rocky Tops Custom Counters, got everything right when it came to the Install process. Overall it was a good experience. The two young men, Jody and Shannon were courteous, arrived within minutes of the expected time, were very careful getting the huge Granite Counter installed. They answered all of our questions, aligned the sections to the point that it looks near seamless, we really appreciated dealing with these fellows. We saved a lot of money through Lowe's and, even with the Glitch, I'd recommend using them and Rocky Tops to anyone wanting Great looking Granite at a Great Price. read more

Great choice of granite (and other stone), lots of remnants to save money on smaller jobs, terrific service and final installation looks fantastic! Very professional used laser measuring instruments that produce the layout of your kitchen and you could see it on their computer screen, all the measurements not what your new countertop would look like. It does that about a week without countertops on your cabinets but well worth the wait.
