The one star rating concerns the garden department. I truly think that someone is trying to kill all the stores succulents by purposely overwatering. If you can purchase plants the day they are delivered it is the only time that you can purchase a plant that hasn't been overwatered. read more

This Home Depot, located just West of the 99 Fwy on Woollomes Ave, is actually a very nice store, at least inside. The parking lot is a hot mess (see the storefront picture) and that didn't lead us to expect much; I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover. They carry all the basics you'd expect to see in a big box home improvement store. On this visit, mom and I were looking for a stud finder - NOT the kind you'd find on an internet dating site, mind you - but the kind you use to find things behind the drywall. The worker we asked for help locating one (we were on a tight schedule and didn't have time to wander aimlessly) took us right to the correct spot. They carry several different kinds at a variety of prices. Whether you're looking to find a fancy model or a cheap one, they can really fit you out here. This Home Depot is located in a predominantly Hispanic area and I noticed that they offered magazines in both English and Spanish. read more

Oh how much I dislike having to grab something at Home Depot. I'm either usually working on a project, something broke, or I'm grabbing something not available elsewhere. With that being said, I've had to visit this Home Depot on multiple occasions. The times that I've been to the delano Home Depot end the same way each time. Frustrated and disappointed. It's unfortunate that I don't want to be here to begin with, but when 95% of the employees exude that vibe, it's a bad sign. My other complaint about this Home Depot is that the employees aren't very friendly nor helpful. Plus, the lack of knowledge is very frustrating for a person who usually doesn't know what the heck it is there looking for or need. Overall it's super convenient that Delano has a Home Depot as I frequent this city often. Unfortunately, it's my least favorite of the Home Depot's in Kern County. Sorry! read more

I love this Home Depot, well for the people who have helped me and my family who live in CA part time. We're originally from Hawai'i and we're trying to fix my Grandparents home here in Earlimart and we come to say for at most, 7-10 days; coming back every so few months fixing things slowly. We needed to get our flooring done ASAP because of the rain flooded the house in the bed rooms (which had carpets for how many years,) Sara A. , Tony and AJ (I am Batman) was such an AMAZING help and I mean AMAZING! Always gave us a better offer, very very knowledgeable of all the supplies and equipment that we needed for projects had to be done in a timely manner because of our time frame here in CA. This is more a praise on an employee than the store itself I suppose... I was driving to visit family in Fresno on Saturday, June 13th when I got a flat tire off the freeway right by Home Depot. My boyfriend went over looking for the one tool that we needed but they didn't have it. A very kind man- an employee- got off work and drove us around to the local auto shops looking for the tool we needed. He took us to multiple places since none had the size that would work. He went extremely out of the way to help us and I was stressed and so grateful. I forget his name, but he got off around 2/2:30 PM that day. *** Pit stop review (Dalano) *** This is another standard Home Depot when it comes to layout and product offering. It is located in the small town of Dalano in an agricultural community. I've been here many times passing through when the Home Depot was the only store off of the exit. This is the perfect spot to pick up supplies or materials you forgot to load up, or stuff you ran out of. There isn't another place like this for miles around. Here's what I liked... * The employees are super friendly and there are soooo many of them everywhere! This is the ONLY home depot where employees in just about every section asked whether I need help looking for something. It's more often the case that I'm going isle to isle hunting for assistance at other locations. * I like the confidence the employees have doing their job. They seek out customers to help. While other places eye contact is avoided and they quickly run when turning the corner. Perhaps it's a small town and they appreciate their job? Maybe they have a good training program. Just another garden variety Home Depot, but it's relatively new. It's located on my route to work, so it's pretty convenient when I need to make a quick stop. I recently bought a few gallons of interior paint and their staff was able to help me save a few bucks. I'm not the greatest DIY person, but whenever I do need something, Home Depot has been my go to place. read more

I went to go buy a product that I needed for my home that I thought they had, but they did not. There website said they had 9 in stock, but when I went to the store it was no where to be found. When I was looking for it I thought they just moved the item, but no. I did not get into the store, I had a flat tire from a pothole and pulled in to change it. I want to express my thanks to Robert Ruiz and Diego Cabrerra who appeared right away and took over, and emptied my trunk and changed my tire. They worked beautifully together, always kept their masks on and were super friendly. I did not get into the store but these two guys are an excellent example of good, friendly, safe customer service. I am so thankful to them for their help and for brightening my day. I came to this HD to simply pick up a couple cans marking paint. Seeing how there was no one around the paint section I approached 3 associate's for help. I was told they would send someone. So I wait another 8 minutes before they even called anyone to help me!!! How long before anyone came? They didn't. I had to call the store, from the store. Asked for a manager and I got appliances. So the end result is it took me a half hour to make a 3 minute purchase. I love Fresno's branch but Delano is a clown store. Unprofessional, lazy, and an utter customer service nightmare! They should open a Lowe's right next door because a small effort of trying would be a 10x better experience than what this store has to offer. No stars!! read more
