I came in looking for a sprinkler head and normally need help trying to find the right one and help is hard to come by in the larger stores. I've only been here once before many years ago so I was weary they would even have what I was looking for. I asked the young lady as I walked in and she directed me to their well stocked and displayed arrangement of sprinkles. I easily found what I was looking for as I had the broken one in hand and their set up made it super easy to find. I even got a second option upon checking out to make sure I had the right one and she concurred with me it was correct. She asked if I was military and got my discount too which I don't ask for so even that made up for a slightly higher price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and it couldn't be more true in place. They're considerably smaller than one of the big box stores, but still have an excellent selection of hardware and home decor items. Next time I'm in Lemoore I'll make sure I pay this place a visit for my hardware needs. Excellent service and great, organized selection!

Idk about you, but I feel guilty throwing away old used batteries in the trash. Like, you're not suppose to do that. I've purchased things here in the past. Grateful that this hardware store is here in this little town. It's a locally owned business so prices are going to be higher than Amazon, but they can always order what you want & notify you when it comes in. Now that's customer service. I really didn't want to drive down to Home Depot on at Saturday morning. That's when it hit me my local True Value Hardware store on Rosedale Hwy. is less than a mile away. Ran out to my truck i was there in 6 minutes no traffic easy parking nobody was up front when I entered, went over to the plumbing section grabbed a small can of Christy's 4 oz glue made my way up to the checkout it wasn't busy. The young man who rang me up said $8.66 I was shocked but I needed it bad. Last time I remembered buying some it was somewhere in the 4 dollar range. So while i watched numerous YouTubes and got some condescending "help" from chain hardware employees in the area, my bathtub dribble grew into a stream. Not just wasteful but getting scary $$. I was desperate! So i tried Archie's to try to find the right kind of washer and tools. The guys on the floor sent me to Jill. She not only coached me and let me borrow tools, she CAME TO MY HOUSE and returned TWICE to swap out tools and the washers and fixed it herself. She knows her stuff and cheerfully gives it away! A 21st century miracle!!!! Please know that this is NOT a service you can demand at Archie's; Jill offers her skills at HER discretion - she told me that she likes to help out other women because she understands how tough it can be for gals in the DIY/home repair field. Nevertheless I am now on Team Jill and a loyal fan forever. And Archie's is pretty high on my list, too! Unfortunately, that goodwill was not returned. We attempted to purchase a STIHL HTA 50 pole pruner that was clearly tagged on the product itself for $349.99. At checkout, the store refused to honor the posted price and then removed the tag when questioned about it. Mistakes happen, but customer service and accountability matter. Ironically, most major retailers would likely have honored the posted price without argument. Disappointing experience from a business we specifically chose to support because it was locally owned.

Every time I walk in, someone asks if I need help. Not the obligatory "Can I help you?" as they're walking away, but the kind where they actually stop, listen, and help you find exactly what you're looking for.
