What happened to this location (Deptford) ?? The employees are so rude, if you can find one. We came in to help son purchase power tools to start up his company. We were ready to drop $$$$ but couldn't find a single person to unlock the required items. One of their plant vendors ran around looking for someone, even going so far as to have them paged, still no one showed. This happened about a month ago and still we returned today to pick up a few vegetable plants for my garden. What an absolute unorganized mess!! I couldn't find anything because there is no rhyme or reason to the garden setup. The plants look in desperate need of watering. This was once my favorite store to shop but in the past year it took a hard nose dive. What changed?? read more

HOME DEPOT-FRAUDULENT INFORMATION FROM BERLIN NJ STORE I was in Home Depot on June 10, 2021 in Berlin, NJ. The employee questioned a price of a refrigerator that was on clearance. He checked with the front desk, they verified the price and I agreed to buy it. I paid for it, and was going to pick it up within a few days. Three days later, I get a call from a Home Depot employee at the customer service desk. who said the refunded my money and she was calling to check why. I told her I never ask for a refund and I asked her to look into it. I called my bank, they have no credit for the purchase. I called her back and she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I thought I was going to speak to the store manager but instead igot Joe, the appliance manager. He told me the price was incorrect and that I could not pick up the refrigerator that I paid for on Thursday! This is unbelievable. It took 3 days for them to call me! I called Home Depot and waited 25 minutes to get help. I then spoke to Lauren, who was in the resolution department and was on the phone with her briefly, only to have her tell me that that the department I needed to call was closed on Sunday. I see the customer sevice for Home Depots sucks. I will pursue this. read more

This isn't my usual home improvement store, although I have bought doors and other needed items from here. What made this weeks visit a great one is the fact that they have a tool and equipment rental department with everything needed to build, fix, and repair your home. On this visit to the store I needed a 75 ft drain cleaner to clear a clogged main drain. The men working in this department not only helped me put this heavy piece of equipment in my car, they told me how to use it and what to get to maintain the clear drains. Renting equipment here is a great way to reduce the cost associated with repairing your home and eliminating service calls and fees. read more

I am upset to write this review. I needed a refrigerator installed after mine stopped working. I ordered a refrigerator at Home Depot, and they told me it would take a week to be delivered to my house. This would make it two weeks without a refrigerator. The day comes, and the men who delivered said they couldn't install it because of the copper wiring we had. They called a service number, and The lady they called said to me that a plumber would need to install it, and that would take a week to do. I was already at two weeks of not having a refrigerator, I could not do a third week. They said I would get plumbing for free, But that didn't matter, because I have children to feed. They did say that an outside company could come and fix the wiring, and call them when it was done, and they would deliver it. I called Home Depot, and asked them if they could reimburse me for the plumbing I paid for, in which they said no. Then instead of a refund, I asked if I could get a credit to their store, because we do need to buy more appliances for our home. They flat out told me there was nothing they could do for me. Without hesitation, I called Davis plumbing, and they came out and fixed my problem. Once that was fixed, I called Home Depot AGAIN and asked if they could come and deliver my refrigerator. They told me It could not be delivered for another week. I completely lost it on them and told them it was unacceptable to go a third week without a refrigerator especially having children to feed, and to fix the problem. The lady who was trying to help me ensured delivery within two days. We will see if they show up on Saturday. In all, I would not use Home Depot to buy appliances from. read more

HOME DEPOT - FRAUDS AND LIARS! Home Depot tells customer misleading stock availability information to close sales on appliances. Then on the day of delivery they cancel the delivery because the item is not in stock. Do not buy an appliance from Home Depot. You will not get it on the date you agree to at the time of purchase. The night before I personally went to the store to confirm the delivery. They looked me in the eye and confirmed, only to cancel the delivery the next morning. If not for the employees, this would have been a 2-3 star experience. But "Arianna" in Customer Service and "Cheryl" in Kitchen/Plumbing were wonderful. Also the two gentlemen we dealt with in the Rental department were professional and very nice; so that process was a breeze. It's truly the exemplary employees that keep Home Depot and other successful businesses thriving. I just wish they would offer service at checkout. Ugh, I HATE home improvement stores in general. It could be the absence of All Things I Want To Buy, like shoes or purses or food. Maybe it's the fact that it is full of All Things I Couldn't Care Less About, like drills and wood and paint. At this particular location, it could be the constant BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! sound of those lift machine thingies that echoes off the ceiling and haunts your ears no matter where you are in the store. Or maybe it's that when you have a question, you find a) someone who doesn't know the answer; b) someone who pretends to know the answer but is wrong; c) someone who talks to you like you're an idiot because you don't already know the answer; or d) no one at all. Or maybe ALL of these reasons are why I hate the Home Depot. I would give them one star, but I did just purchase supplies to remodel my entire bathroom for under $250. The lack of customer service at this Home Depot is appalling as I always have had great experiences at their stores. The one cashier was as useless as a poop flavored lollipop. When we asked her if there was someone to make keys she pointed and said he's over there. Whoa! Don't move your lazy fat ass literally 10 inches to the left of you to pick up the phone and page him. I had to walk over myself only to find two individuals standing in a daze like Beavis and Butthead at the paint counter. You would of thought I was speaking a foreign language to them. It took almost 15 minutes for them to find the guy and have him make my keys. This decrepit old fool left a lot to the imagination. No hello, how are you, how may I help you. It's like he was being inconvenienced to do his job. I've went on enough - I think you get the point I am trying to make. Funny how the sales people here get such a bad rap. I have dealt with my share of clueless customer service in many stores including home improvement, but my recent experience at the Deptford Home Depot was better than expected. Very helpful. I needed some wooden trim for around the inside of my front door. Lowe's did not have it but Home Depot did, and for a better price. This location is a little out of my way (Lowe's is closer) but I still like to come here. read more

Great place to go if you like being profiled as a thief and your online-placed in-store pick up orders to be wrong. Heaven forbid you need help finding something. Good luck getting any help finding items! Every time I go there (why do I keep going back?!?!) I see about four people working. If you do find someone to help, they are usually completely useless and expect you to know where to find items in their store that you don't work at. It's a real shame that the few times I received excellent help and advice have been sullied by the usual gross incompetence. Like the two really nice guys in the paint department today unfortunately have to work with a bunch of turds. I hope you like ringing out your purchases yourself because I haven't been there in recent time where I saw a single regular register open, only self check out. This isn't an issue exclusive to Home Depot, it's everywhere, but it's here too! Last time I checked, I don't work for you. When you go into a store to buy something, it's typically someone's job to facilitate the transaction. When you go to a store to buy something, help, someone processing your transaction, customer service, overhead, etc etc are included in the mark up of the product. I've worked retail, I know how a store works. Oh how times have changed. I wonder how long before I have to go pick out my orders from Amazon. It's okay though because once you do their job for them, whether it be online order with in-store pick up or self check out, you'll be profiled at the door and treated like a thief. I couldn't tell you how many times I've walked into a Home Depot or Lowes looking for a particular item and have had an employee direct me to aisle such and such with no additional guidance... I had a similar experience here. The first employee I asked directed me to three different aisles in search of my two desired products. This was fine... but then when I couldn't locate an item I asked South Philly native, John. (Wish I had gotten his last name!) John was incredibly helpful! He looked up my desired product on the store app and WALKED ME OVER TO THE AISLE! (The first employee I encountered had accidentally sent me to the wrong aisle.) I was even more thankful for this because this aisle happened to be partially closed off due to another employee utilizing a lift at that time. He communicated his intentions and went behind the "aisle temporarily closed" barrier. He proceeded to pull two different scents of my desired cleaner/deodorizer from behind the barrier and allowed me to smell each before handing me the bottle I wanted. He then walked with me to the complete opposite side of the store to locate a draft protector. He assisted me with selection of this product and even brought me over to the door aisle to see how it might fit on my door. John was pleasant and went above and beyond to provide superior customer service. I'm so glad I happened to ask him for assistance! If any employee deserves a bonus or raise, it would hands down be John! A+++ for awesome service! read more

I prefer Lowe's over Home Depot- for no other reason then the color scheme- I know that's a terrible reason. However, I've had better luck and experience at Home Depot then Lowe's. I do believe that both of them have a large lack of customer service and employees in general. However, the few times I've been to this location I was able to find someone at the right time to help me with my needs. We were in the lumbar section, trying to find molding and someone working there happened to be in the aisle the same time as us and asked us if we needed help. Of course we needed help-- who doesn't need help in a big hardware store! Anyway- they helped us right away and that was probably the quickest trip I've ever made to Home Depot. I also give them props on having better style and supplies in the wooden door department (for pantries/closests). A lot of the options at Lowe's were too big or special order.. and when you're working on a project you don't want to special order a door. read more

He pointed us in the direction of where we needed to go. We stood there, 2 home depot employees stared at us and then walked away. My Wife and I are established, our wants and needs are few and small. We both come from law enforcement families and support law enforcement vehemently. We shop here at The Home Depot of Deptford all the time. We have spent many thousands of dollars here. Yesterday we were at the checkout when security aproached us accusing my with of trying to steel a 5 dollar lanyard. She forgot it was around her neck. We hadn't even walked 2 steps from the register, It was quite obvious it was a mistake. She had every intention on paying for it and tried to. That wasn't good enough! The security was very polite and just doing their job. Home depot is responsible for making an inexcusable situation. We cut our home depot cards up and we no longer shop there! Home Depot Store 929 - Deptford NJ I rented a power seeded for my lawn. It did not work. It ran fine, and the tynes did rotate, but they didn't scratch the surface - even at the lowest setting. BY the time I got it home, fooled with it, determined that it truly didn't work, and got it back to the store, it took 2 hours. They didn't refund my money, they charged my credit card. I have had several bad experiences at this Home Depot. Staff seems to not know their merchandise or sales. In my last visit to this store, I bought flowers for what I thought were the sale items. As I stood in line for several minutes, another cashier pointed out that the lane next to me was open. The opened cashier never even notified me that she was in the opened booth. After she told me my total, I questioned the amount of the flowers asking if they were on sale. She told me they were not and I asked her which flowers were on sale. She said she did not know and walked back into her booth. She never tried to look for the flowers or ask someone who might have known. I was extremely disappointed and tried to find another associate to help me but could not find any. read more
