MIKE, for giving a VERY thorough explanation on grills: Weber vs the other brands, stainless steel vs not, size and weight and maintenance and shit. Gave us a full walkthrough of one of the SS grills, taking pieces apart and reassembling them and shit. 2. JUSTIN, for dialing in several computer queries for me and - upon discovering a desired item was not on site - suggested the short trip to the Hamilton location for procurement. (And for helping us load a patio set onto a moving cart.) 3. RISHABH, for his cheery and helpful demeanor in cashing us out at the register. Your last impression at the store is also important and we walked outta there thinking, damn, what a solid crew of service staff. 10/10 will come back. read more

I like home depot but not this store. On Sunday 12th September at about 6:30 PM, I went to return an order of a smaller $8 dollar liquid crack filler that I had ordered online but was surplus to my needs. I had ordered multiple type of fillers (paste and liquid both) from my store visits. Even though the online order number and all the customer details were listed on the yellow sticker stuck on the bottle by Home Depot itself, the return employee (Edward) was not trained to find an online order even with all the details were still attached to the product. First, I had to wait in line then he further made me wait further as he had to call someone else to find the order, and customer information from the online order slip. This much time was not enough for him to process. Then he wanted to verify my driver license which I gave to him. After processing my driver license information, now he wanted to see my ordering credit card. I don't know which credit card I used online as I have many credit cards attached in the account. After spending so much time, it was too much for me to spend another 30 minutes trying one card after another. I asked him to let me speak with the store manager. I waited for about 10 minutes next to the return point, but the store manager wouldn't bother to even talk to the customer. So arrogant and uncaring of him - he thinks people owe some gratitude for Home Depot to exist! What happened to Home Depot's friendly return policies for online orders? I didn't want to spend my entire Sunday evening standing in home depot for mere 8 dollars. I had many other things to do. I took photos of product (left at the counter) and the person, but I don't think it is good idea to post face of the person. So,I left the product with the return person to just keep it without bothering for any refund!. I am under no illusion that a mega store like Home Depot will be affected by one person not bothering to shop, but then management needs to realize their are many online options to purchase just about any thing these days. Came across this store by accident, was looking for the Hamilton store. But I'm glad I stopped in this store. Located on a side street off of Rt 33, wasn't busy and the store staff was friendly. I got a few things and was quickly out the door. I used the Home Depot website that was very helpful, showed if the item you want is in the store, how many is in stock, if not in stock they'll give you an estimated arrival date and they will tell you what aisle the item is located. read more

This Home Depot has not many 5 star worthy workers. I'm a pretty frequent visitor and the most helpful worker we've encountered at this location is Kaz. So if Kaz ever sees this, these 5 stars are for him. He is so organized and dedicated to working here and he's knowledgeable of the store. He even helped me out here on his day off. His hospitality is something you'd normally only get from family and friends. He's given great advice on things from lightbulbs to screws. This Home Depot scored an awesome employee. The employees here are untrained. We went to get shades and have them cut to size, as I've done at other Home Depot locations, and first a boy cut them the wrong size. We measured them in the store and relayed that they were cut too short, the woman, Wanda, who usually cuts said, it would not matter and if we had an issue we could come back. She seemed she did not want to bother fixing his mistake. Of course they were too short. We came back the next day, showed her the length we would like them cut and again she cut them too short. This is a very simple job, I've had accomplished at other locations. This location is entirely disappointing. Save yourself extra stress and time and go to other locations. read more

Non-existent customer service I just wasted 20 minutes of my life trying to get someone to make me a key at store 982 in E. Windsor. I also was generally ignored by the customer service department while I was trying to get help. I also tried calling customer service while I was standing in the store and both lines rang continuously with nobody answering. What a nasty store. read more

One of the worst Home Depot locations. Very slow and inefficient checkout process, with most checkout aisles closed and self-checkout lanes prone to computer malfunctions. Watch out for high pressure rogue independent salespeople who approach you when you're in a vulnerable position (I was crouched over searching for a part). Our resulting free kitchen counter consultation lasted three hours and produced a ridiculous quote of more than double the market norm. read more

This Home Depot is one of the newest ones in central Jersey. However, it is also the smallest that I've been to. I actually worked here when I was in high school, so I know it quite well. What makes it so good, is that it is a couple roads off of the major highway and there are no signs on the highway pointing towards it. So it's hidden and unless you're a local or you researched it online, you would never know it's there. So it doesn't get as crowded as some of the others. But on the flip side, being that it's smaller, they don't have as much of a variety as some of the other locations. Especially with their appliances. And as usual, just like any other Home Depot or Lowes, it's damn near impossible to find help when you need it. read more

I went to the Home Depot in East Windsor NJ last night arriving at 7:30. I went directly to the appliance section to purchase a microwave. I asked three different associates for assistance and after a half hour wait the store was closing and they told me the person for that department went home earlier. I ordered a double door refrigerator from them and paid extra to have it brought in to my house. I received a knock on my door and the delivery man said he had the refrigerator out at the road for me. I told him I paid to have it brought in to the house. My driveway is around 500 feet long. Who can possibly carry it that far. He asked me to call the store. I spoke to the manager and told him that I paid extra to have it brought in the house. You can clearly see the extra charge on the receipt. He told me again that I didn't pay extra and I replied back that I did and that I have a 500 foot driveway and can't carry it that far. He told me I didn't pay the extra. I told him I did and asked him if I am a liar. He said, "Yes that I was a liar." Now I am furious. I go to the store with the receipt and show it to the manager who along with assistant managers and several salespeople are there. He again called me a liar in front of everyone and then walked away with MY receipt and didn't give it back to me. One of the assistant managers went to get the receipt back from me. He now called me a liar for the second time and in front of several people and walked away with the receipt. I was shocked. The Home Depot on rt 130 is great and then I had to deal with this. Had the worst experience with this location trying to buy a grill. I ordered online and asked for it to be unassembled because I didn't have a large enough vehicle to transport. They let me know the order was ready for pickup at the store but when I arrived they only had assembled grills. I explained that it wouldn't fit in my truck. The manager (Ha!) said she called me and my phone went to VM but she didn't leave a message. I asked if she could find another Home Depot with the same grill in the box. She said No. I asked if I could have it delivered. She said No. I asked if I could borrow tools to I assemble. She said No. She only said she could process the return. I asked if there was any way to get me a grill. She just said she could only process a return. I asked for her to include her name and the Store Managers name and she said she would when she completed the return. She canceled my order. I called Customer Service for Home Depot. They were just as rude. Couldn't help me and didn't want to help. They said I would have to reorder the grill but they would all be assembled. Delivery would be a fee. I asked to speak with the supervisor. They put me on hold for a full hour. The supervisor then told me the manager back at the store had offered me next day delivery (lie) and that they offered to unassemble it for me and give me a discount. Also a lie. Except for the paint department this store is full of staff who seem to be very unhappy with their jobs. They are rude, unwilling to help. I would really like the manager to take note and encourage staff members to be nicer and mohelpful with the customers. The worst experience I've ever had in a large home store. A large sign said delivery over $399 free. I spent almost twice that and was told it only referred to gas grills but that's not what the sign said (this is false advertising). The gas grill we did purchase was on sale but at the register It rang up at full price. The sink I purchased rang up at $20 over the price and the retaining wall bricks rang up at regular price even though they were also on sale. All prices had to be adjusted at the register. If I didn't check the prices, I would've been charged full price for everything. This store is trying to overcharge on all items. The sales person who waited on me said that the delivery charge would be free because I was ordering so much. Very poor customer service in the store and I called Home Depot corporate offices and received the same type of poor customer service. I was on the phone for almost 3 hours. I hope no one goes to this store. There's a Lowe's very close that I would recommend very highly for great customer service. read more

Absolutely horrific customer service for online purchases. If you miss the 45 minute cancellation window be prepared to have the merchandise rammed down your throat. Even after trying to cancel not 12 hours later, the reps read to you their 45 minute cancellation policy in a very condescending manner. If you refuse delivery they actually reschedule a second delivery appointment. Home Depot wants you to go through the trouble of physically returning merchandise irrespective of how heavy the merchandise or infirm you may be. Never again! read more

Home Depot East Windsor. Walked into the store to get a 70 lb bag of grass seed. I saw that the grills outside were on sale. I know I can't bring merchandise outside so as I'm parking my cart next to the door, a 150 5'7(maybe) soaking wet guy steps in front of me and asks for receipt. I tell him I didn't purchase it yet and going outside to look at the grills but leaving my cart here. First of all he doesn't even have an employee shirt on(I realize LP sometimes don't to blend in but still had no way of proving he worked there), also giving me orders. He accused me of stealing and said that he was loss prevention and that I had to go to the back office to fill out paper work with him. I told him I'm not going anywhere with you especially since you don't have a way to prove you work here. You could be lying to me, then threatened to call the police on me if I didn't go to the back office with him. Told him he can call the police I have a Sgt in the family for the township I don't care. Then he apologized and said "oh no I didn't say go to back office, I said just pay for it." You guys got some real nice employees there. Power hungry in loss prevention wanna be police. I wouldn't of had a problem with him doing his job(if he really worked there) if he was polite about it. So mom decides to go thru them to do her countertops. Shouldn't be too hard small kitchen. Right? First, had to pick out tops, did that. Then a new sink, did that. Second, guys who come out to measure are incompetent bc the usual guy who uses the laser measure is out sick so they measure by hand. (Measure twice, cut once) simple. Nope. They come on a monday, plumber disconnects water, okay they had the wrong counter tops. Then said it would be done in couple of days, still no water in kitchen. Come by friday, put in sink n counter tops. Beautiful. Back splash is cut wrong, too short. When they were cutting in kitchen they sliced the pantry cabinet with blade so now thats damaged. Second the two sides are different colors, one white with speckled the other gray with speckles. Backsplash behind stove dont match either. A week with no kitchen for countertops including washing pots, pans n dishes in bathroom sink. Fun. No one can fix problem bc they are passing the buck back n forth. So incompetent unbelievable. Mom still waiting on them to fix problem. That was over 2 1/2 weeks ago. So if you decide to do home repairs thru home depot bc they're cheaper Don't!! 11 Months of wait for a front door installation? Ridiculous but true !!!! Please beware if you are planning to order any installed doors or windows from this store as your will soon find extremely poor service or any person easily accessible at this department. I believe they are all goofing off somewhere behind in the store and are incapable. Let me start with my terrible experience that started almost a year ago as I was shopping for a custom front door by in November 2018. I wanted the best, price was not an issue, and after waiting for almost 30 minutes waiting for 'Joe' to appear after being paged several times. I assumed this was this only time I have to wait in line until I place my order. But I was proved wrong, as they had to send someone to measure the existing door which took 4 weeks, which I understand. But wait, I forgot to tell you that even after the measurements were done, no one called me for 2 months, so I went to visit the store and after waiting for 30 minutes, 'Joe' appeared and apologized that he had entered incorrect phone number . I don't want to bore you with the details but it took me 10 more visits and 8 more months to the store to find why they had an excuse each time that manufacturer was no responsive or 'Joe' did not know what he was doing. This personal visit was needed as 'Joe' and his manager 'Gail' was always mysteriously busy to answer my call and did not care about my custom door. BTW, they had already billed me for close to eight thousand dollars and I still did not have a door installed. I had begged Joe and his manager to make sure the door would be installed for Thanksgiving, including their corporate customer service and was promised that door would be installed on 23 Nov . Guess what happened 'Joe' called me today November 23, 2019 that the measurements of the custom door was 2 inches short and he did not know when they would be able to re-order or install. So after waiting for 12 months and countless hours chasing East Windsor staff/manager/customer service/corporate office, they have my money and zero service or merchandise and only empty promises. I went to the desk in the flooring department and was greeted by Wasef Matias. We sat down for a brief discussion of my needs. Ugh. Now I know why everyone talks bad about Home Depot. Clearly they are taught, probably inadvertently, by their managers to put their own work ahead of the customer. I needed a board cut into two foot sections - two cuts total. I would estimate that it would take three minutes or less to do that safely and taking your time. Well this location only had one guy who was trained to use the saw. He successfully ignored me from ten feet away and got on his forklift and left me stranded. Kudos to his partner, who apologized and said it would be another 15 minutes. Keep in mind, it had already been 20 minutes since I had called the customer service desk requesting assistance. And I am quite sure that the estimate of 15 min would revolve into 30-40. No way I'm waiting over an hour just for some would. This situation typifies what's wrong with these stores. Well meaning associates who are taught by example to place their own work responsibilities above taking literally less than five minutes to help someone. The frustration on my end was just enough - do I wait to get my job done and try to suck it up, or do I leave? Then I thought, why should I suck it up? Never in my years of retail have I seen such horrible customer service. I don't know if it is this current location or Home Depot has a company, but on multiple occasions, this location has not only shown total disrespect but has messed with my orders costing my family thousands of dollars. There was a flood in my home, this caused my wood floor to warp, so I looked towards Home Depot for assistance. They came into my home to do an inspection and gave us a price to replace the flooring. I contacted my insurance and we agreed on a price. Ready to fix my now torn up floor, I also purchased a washer and dryer set. Now this is where my experience goes down hill. The people came in to install my washer and dryer but told me that they couldn't install at this time because my hose didn't fit. They then left the uninstalled washer and dryer and rescheduled so that I could purchase a new hose. curious, I went to see for myself if I could install the washer, and surprise not only did they not see if the hose did fit they had not even touched the washer, it still having its original wrapping over the hose. I had to pay for a new hose for no reason. looking past my washer dilemma, home depot came into finally replace my floors (this now being a month passed when I originally ordered my replacement.) I come to find that the flooring is not the one I ordered. calling up the store, they show me that an employee has changed the order without even contacting me. I had ordered wood boards, and in my home was now a cheap, thin, plywood and wood blend that was cheap and easily broke. upset I contacted the store to find that my new balance for this project was now an additional four thousand dollars because the installers had found that they needed to pull an additional layer of flooring. keep in mind that two months ago someone had already come to my home to do a full evaluation. livid I contacted corporate who gave me a runaround and was not helpful at all. the manager of Home Depot had finally contacted me days after and to reschedule a new evaluation, and I agreed that I would pull the flooring that the installers had found would cost an additional four thousand dollars. A contractor and an employee named mary came into my home to my home. mary made it seem that it was my fault that my order was changed and told me that she would not change the price because of my changes I said that I would be doing the demolition myself. She was not sympathetic that I was going through this experience and even got angry with me because I was distraught. now I am looking for business elsewhere, my home now lacking a floor and wood that I didn't order is now taking up half my kitchen read more
