Worst homedepot store and team! Don't go! This is, without a doubt, the worst Home Depot store I have ever visited. Edgewood Home Depot, MD. I was trying to purchase an item from a locked display case, but the cashier told me she didn't have the key and had to call the store manager. After the call, instead of helping resolve the issue, she told me to go to Customer Service and find the manager myself. I waited about 10 minutes in the line at Customer Service, only to be told the manager wasn't there. After waiting another 10 minutes, the store manager finally showed up. Twenty minutes wasted just to buy a locked item. What made the experience even more frustrating was the impression that only the manager had the authority to unlock the case and complete the sale. Then what is the use of the lazy lady in front of the locked cage? It felt as though customers were expected to wait indefinitely for someone acting like a VIP simply because they held the key. The lack of organization, accountability, and basic customer service was unbelievable. If you're going to lock up merchandise, at least have a process in place that allows customers to make a purchase without wasting their time. This experience was unacceptable. read more

Still going through a terrible experience with Home Depot. We ordered and started paying for a counter top on April 2nd. We were told 3 to 5 weeks. After 6 weeks and only when we inquired we were told the order was never placed. After speaking with corporate and being given a case number, we were promised they would get the counter top ordered and have a supervisor call us within 3 days. The call was 6 days later and the guy wanted me to tell him the whole story over. And let me know he was off last week. Now corporate is saying the local store has my counter top and they are waiting to coordinate installation. We aren't even having them install it! Our salesperson called to rant about how it wasn't her fault someone deleted the email order! Meantime we are eating with relatives, carryout and restaurants. read more

Honestly the most organized HD we've been to (and we go to a lot of them in the Baltimore/Harford area). This is the easiest order/pick-up branch. The staff is quick to pick orders and will let you know right away if something is out of stock. Ever since we learned how much smoother transactions are here, we hardly ever go to any other branch. read more

Date of visit: 12/12/2011 Like what many others say it is hard to rate a national chain store. What it really comes down to is their customer service and local policies. I live near three Home Depots and two Lowes so I can really pick and choose where I do business. For quick little home repairs I tend to come here since this location is the closest to me. Yesterday I needed pipe tape and kitchen & bath silicone sealant so I could replace the leaking faucet of my kitchen sink. While there I also picked up a new pair of pruning shears so I could trim back summer's growth and prepare my gardens for winter's rest. One of the things I like about this location of Home Depot is that they offer a 10% Military Discount all the time. Let's face it, while I'm an officer now and doing pretty well, when I was enlisted many many moons ago (basic training at 18) I lived at or below the nation's poverty level until I made E-6. I've given my country 25 years of service, so I really appreciate this fact and frequently patronize businesses offering a Military discount. If I need something that two businesses offer and one has a Military discount and the other does not, you better believe I will usually go with the one that does. Yesterday there were no regular checkouts open, just the self-serve style, but I need a human to key in the discount. I happened to notice someone not too far away setting up a display and asked her about someone tending the registers. She asked what I needed and I let her know I was military and she went straight to the self-checkout to key in my discount, and then she thanked me for my service. Today I'm a fan because of the great customer service I received yesterday!!! read more

I was there 5/7/2019 around 5:30pm after I got off work. I purchased 10 bags of mulch and NOONE was there to help load it in my truck. I love this Home Depot. Out of all of the home improvement stores I've been to in the area (Home Depot in Bel Air, MD & Lowes in Abingdon), this is one stands out. There are always a lot of people around to answer your questions and if you are interested in diy-ing it, they will spend time explaining what you need to do. At the other places, I've spent a ton of times just looking for someone to talk to, here people ask if you need help. Great place! read more

Bought a refrigerator from them first one was delivered damaged so new one was to be delivered today and never got my refrigerator due to the incompetent 3rd party delivery company they use. So I have to wait another 5 days before getting a refrigerator! And that's if there isnt problems with the next attempt. read more

I live in Aberdeen but prefer the Edgewood location. The staff is extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly. One of the workers gave us his name and asked that we call back if we had any further questions. We did and he was just as friendly and helpful. I just recently moved to the area and am a first time home buyer. The Edgewood location has been most helpful. The staff there go above and beyond and it's consistent. I've noticed it several times shopping there. They treat you with respect and acknowledge your needs and make every effort to point you in the right direction. With buying my first house, coming here for my needs is the best. I highly recommend this location. read more

Very poor service. Had a number of difficulties at this store, talked to the store manager on several occasions and nothing was resolved. ie. being on hold for 15 minutes and then being hung up on, can't use a gift card when buying a shed and other items with a discount. I filed a complaint with the BBB and waiting for their response. I'm going to try and see if the one in Bel Air is any better. Even one of the employees was telling me that there are a number of problem going on with this store. read more

This is a really good Home Depot. They always have what I'm looking for in stock. The store is clean and the staff is helpful. This store seems like it is there for the home owner. Many of the other home depots seem more commercial oriented. read more
