Now this is a REAL hardware store, not one of those wanna bees like Ace. I needed a copper plumbing fitting for my 120 year old Baltimore City rowhouse kitchen. Northeast plumbing, Schumacher and Seiler, and Ace were busts. Hodges had it. If you need a hard to find thingamajig this is the place to go. It's a must visit for any DIYer. read more

A very odd place. While they are a Ace Hardware franchise that is not the reason you'll come here. It will be obvious as you pull into the parking lot that the owner(s) take tools and appliances in trade. *Warning* If you are the least bit OCD keep on driving. This store will give you the willies. Tools (some of which I have not seen decades), blades, blades, bits, one-off hardware and anything else that is remotely related to fixing things can be found here. And it is all stacked haphazardly in the aisles with little rhyme or reason. Clutter abounds. That said, if you have the patience you can find some gems. It is also the only hardware store I have entered that also sells a wide range of hot sauces. read more

Yesterday I went to this location for a flapper for my toilet. As soon as I walked in the door a older man was in my face asking to assist me. I told him what I needed so he walked me to the back area where the flappers were, we discussed which one I needed. I knew which one it wasn't my first time buying one. He handed me a flapper that had been opened, I refused that one, I picked one that was new. We walked back to the counter, there was a large cat on the counter. Also a cat bed . Really?? Someone may have allergies. Luckily I didn't! The old man went outside and started fiddling with same items outside. He didn't bother to ring up my flapper!! It was two men looking at pipes. A lady sitting in the a chair playing with her phone. No one at the counter. I waited about 5 to 7 minutes then I put the flapper on counter and walked out. What kind of customer service is this???? First of all, the place is cluttered and junky, It's looks more like a junk yard than a hardware store! I would NOT recommend shopping there!! I would give zero stars if I could!! read more

Does not look like much from the outside but don't let that deter you. I dropped off all my house screens for repair/replacement 9 windows and 1 patio door. They completed the job in a week for $175. Did a great job and very friendly. read more

First review I've ever written...but felt very compelled. Let me start by saying this place is a dump. There was a bunch of trash stacked outside including old toilets and other discarded materials. The place isn't air conditioned. But it was the atrocious service that I'm really stirred up about. I walked in and was not greeted. There was a worker sitting in a chair, but he never bothered to ask if he could help while I walked around the store. I step up to him a say a cheery, "how are you doing!". He doesn't lift his head his but mutters "fine". I told him what I wanted...he did take me to it and came ring me up. I hand him my card and he says abruptly "cash only under 5 dollars!". I said that had no cash on me today and he snatched the item and took it back to the shelf. No apology, no politeness, no thanks for stopping by. I would have bought the larger sized item had he even though to be polite or just said charge me 5 dollars. It really is a shame, because I work nearby and drive right past this place. Really gives True Value a bad name. Take my advice and stay away from this cesspool. read more
