When searching for contractors to paint house, re-roof, I used their in house system. Of the two locals who responded, I rejected for various reasons. Went back to referral service they expanded to Huntsville, gave me three highly qualified prospects, I chose R & J Homes of Decatur, 256 801 0555, ask for Omar. I was absolutely delighted w their expertise, hard work, I asked them to do a lot of additional things, all done w utmost care, professionalism. After being out and about on such a beautiful day, my mother and I decided to stop by Home Depot to look at their beautiful flowers. I must say that every time we've come to this store, they have such beautiful flowers. If you're an outdoorsy person like my mom you could easily spend hours shopping here. My mom was specifically interested in purchasing some mums for her porch area to add to her fall decor. There were so many beautiful options to choose from that she kept going back and forth trying to decide which ones to buy. She was very pleased with her shopping experience and the price of the plants. One can honestly tell that they take care of their plant and purchase good quality ones. This is always our go to place for plants and other home improvement items, so we will likely be back soon. read more

Anytime we come here all the workers do is stand around. They will talk to customers but as soon as they have to do something they hate doing it. We have over 30 boards and they acted like they couldn't help load it. They never want to do their job here and it's why i hate coming here. They are no help whatsoever. read more

I went to my local store a few days ago to purchase a Dewalt cordless chainsaw. Rural King had it for $149 but I would have had to wait on it. Home Depot had it in stock for $179 and since I needed it to remove some large fallen tree branches for an elderly neighbor, I went to Home Depot because of the price guarantee. I got the saw and carried it to the customer service desk. I showed the clerk the Rural King website price and was told that "we don't match Rural King". She turned to a manager who confirmed that. I walked out and will not go back. Purchased a blemished double oven almost a year ago. Turned on a burner a few days ago and had sparks and smoke coming out of the upper control section. Went to HD in Florence and after customer service associate and manager reviewed computer and whispered to each other for a couple of minutes, I was told it only had a 90 day guarantee(first time that was mentioned). I stated that they could override ( since this was an internal electronic issue and fire/safety hazard). Manager stated that he could not override the system. I have been in retail management for 30 years and have never seen a POS system that did not have an override function to allow a company to "DO THE RIGHT THING"! read more

The store was clean and the employees were helpful. The old guy who was greeting people at the front door is the reason I continue to come here. The guy has an awesome personality and is very helpful. He's a little slow but age tends to do that to us. Home Depot's price match and the management did not try to keep a loyal customer happy today. I found an online retailer that sells the same items I wanted to purchase (yes, model numbers and all). When I called to try to purchase from the store over the phone I was told that because the price was "cheaper when added to cart" he just didn't think he could approve it and that I would have to talk to the assistant manager, Sarah Armstrong. So I took pictures of everything and went into the store ready to make the purchase. I was immediately told by the assistant manager, Sarah, that she had already contacted the company and at least one piece I was buying was giving me a whole sale price in my cart so she wouldn't approve it either. The price online was $141.50 off of a $2078.00 purchase. That would be a discount of approximately 6%. I do not think that is unreasonable. I called Home Depot customer care and they quickly resolved the situation for me. I guess I still stand behind the company but definitely not the local store. The only reason I did not turn around and go to Lowe's is because I had several saved gift cards I wanted to put toward the large purchase. read more

My husband rented a tiller in which we were supposed to get our deposit back on. That was about 3 weeks ago and still have not gotten a refund. Even our receipt specifies the amount we were to get back and we have spoken with them about it and have gotten nothing but a run around and rude employees. The reason for the smiles and good feeling was the customer service we received while in your store! It was awesome. Every employee we met spoke to us and asked if they could help.
